Inside out: decorated in a fun, eclectic, and homey way. I love the humor, the local art, the old things that are just neat accents. The tables are older, custom wood, and show some wear in the best ways. Parking is easy and at least not during peak times- not too bad. Service: fast, friendly, no complaints. I would even go so far as to say personable and kind. Food: the prices are fair for the massive and tasty portions of rather traditional fare. This isn't fine dinning, it's the experience of a classic (truly, some dishes may not wow your socks off but you're going to leave full with leftovers.) Over all: this place is essential to any McCall visit. I've been coming to McCall since I was born and this place has never let me down. It's not going to blow your mind, but it might be a fun place to make some memories over a meal.

This is an old school restaurant. Love these places. Ratings way low for quality of food and beverages. Our group had the prime rib with salad, spaghetti, toast and au jus. So tender and tasty. Also the rib steak with spaghetti, toast and a fresh salad. We had a bottle of chicken dinner red blend . Cheesecake for desert. Service was fantastic.

Country music. Nice decor dining room / bar. Good food. Ordered the sampler platter came with fried cod fish, chkn strips, buffalo wings, finger steaks, 4 different sauces. Dbl shot burger with loaded fries Everything was delicious. Good service.

As always, another fabulous time at Lardo. This restaurant is seriously underrated. There's nothing quite like one of their 1/3 pound, 100% ground beef patties with their signature Lardo fries (the best cut EVER) dipped in delicious house made fry sauce. On my most recent drop-in, husband and I ordered the Ranch Hand Burger (fried egg, Canadian bacon, salsa, $15.49) and the Jalapeño Burger (with Swiss, $15.49). He said his burger was delicious. There was a decent amount of salsa, so it was pretty messy but the combination of the egg and bacon with juicy burger was unbeatable. My jalapeños didn't quite pack the punch like it had previously, but overall it was still very, very yummy, especially with a lil dab of their fry sauce. I swear this is the best version I have yet to have. Can't wait to be back again very soon!

We were in McCall on vacation, and people said this place was an institution. The service was really good, and the food was what you would expect at a local place like this: solid, hearty portions, and fairly priced. The kids loved all the animals and stuff on the walls.

Service was TERRIBLE. Food was bland. Drinks came as awaited for our check. Total waste of $$$. AVOID.

Rough start with service issues and it was frustrating. Manager acknowledged it and sought to make it right. Food was good.

Excellent location, ambiance, food and service- it doesn't get much better than this!…read more Drinks on the deck overlooking the lake was a great start. Dinner in the restaurant didn't disappoint- filet mignon with sautéed mushrooms was the BEST I've ever had! Service was spot on, making this dinner an incredible success. Cannot wait to go back!

Our server Brittany greeted us promptly and was very pleasant and attentive to our every need. My wife had the Chehalem Chardonnay and I had a glass of the Prisoner. Both were served promptly and were perfect. We ordered the Pepper Jelly Glazed Pork Belly as it sounded very unique. A word of caution though, the portion is very large with two big cuts of pork belly. The jelly glaze and seared crust on the pork belly was excellent and tasty. The pork belly itself tasted very good, but wasn't as tender as we expected. We expected a much more tender meat. That isn't to say it was tough (it wasn't) or very good (it was!). However, this is very rich for an appetizer. It could really be a main entree! My wife ordered the special for the day, which was a surf & turf with scallops and a "Denver cut" steak. She ordered the steak medium (defined by Brittany as pink but no red). She said the scallops were perfectly cooked. Tender and tasty. However, the steak was medium rare at best. Brittany agreed that it was not medium and took it back to correct. When the steak was returned, it was better, still not medium, but acceptable. That's when my wife discovered how fatty the cut of meat was. A large part of it was all fat and not edible. I on the other hand ordered the 8-Oz Double-R Ranch Tenderloin, medium rare+. It was perfect, juicy, flavorful, and satisfying. Cooked perfectly. We ordered a side of Asperagus which was delicious, but again be aware, the portion was more than enough for two and probably could have been shared by 3 or 4! In conclusion, the service was impeccable (Brittany A++!), the food was good (but should have been great), wine was excellent, and ambiance is perfect!

All the wait staff were excellent. They came by several times to make sure everything was okay. The food came out quick, although the pub wasn't busy. Oh yes, to the food. The squeeze and I shared an order of finger steaks and fries. It is our norm to split an order for lunch. The meat tasted good, nice and tender. Spices in the coating decent. The fries were crispy on the outside and fluffy inside. The dip for the finger steaks had a good amount of horseradish in it, wasn't overpowering but put heat into the bite. They did bring an extra plate, which was nice, and not to be charged for it is even better. They may have added some extra fries and fingers, don't know, but we were more than satisfied with the quality and quantity. Hippy Hopped Pale Ale had a nice taste of hops, kind of like a session IPA. The Mackinaw Red brew was oh so malty! It was a little cool in there.

The pretzel was good, and the hot, spicy mustard was good. Good for a mid-day snack after skiing. The place was kind of broken/trashy. We were sitting at the bar and noticed that the brewing supplies were a little gross. I thought brewers were clean? The signs were not updated and had a make-shift feeling. Sad to see what was once a great brewery is now trying to pick up its pieces.

At the last minute I requested a table by a window/water view, and even though they said they may not be able to meet the request, they did, and our view was gorgeous. Everything we tried was honestly amazing- we started with the bread basket and spinach and artichoke dip, and it was so delicious. The teens got mocktails, which they enjoyed, and I had a huckleberry martini style drink, and it was also excellent. Our server recommended the soup of the day, and it was perfect for the rainy weather. We ordered the prime rib dip, steak and pesto pasta, and it was all full of flavor, fresh, and honestly, the best food of the trip. The ambiance is wonderful.
