Inside out: decent location! Inside gets very loud and crowded but that's fine. Fun decor! Service: the people were so kind and friendly. I just gotta say we had every problem one could probably have. My friend has an onion allergy and they put onions on her food after asking for non, she asked for no coleslaw and they clearly had put it on her sandwich and scraped it off into a cup. She ordered mashed potatoes with gravy- got fries. They forgot her drink, and while they fixed it all and were so kind, it was still tiring when we were just hungry. I had a burger, it was good, and when they fixed her meal she enjoyed it- it just took a while to get there. I wanted to substitute a side and was given fries and charged full price for an additional side, which again they were willing to fix but my goodness at the end we just wanted to leave. The beer- excellent. Overall I'm sure it's not always like this. The staff were nice, we were hangry but tried not to be a pain about it, the food was good eventually, the beer was fabulous. I just can't say it was a five star experience but I would give them another try.

This is a picture of r old greasy fries that was served in 2 of r to go orders

I will share a picture of our French fries that are old and saturated in grease...not eatable at all...the cook should be ashamed of him self for even serving such a thing...r order unfortunately was to go...but this is 2 out of 3 times that have been terrible. So this local won't be going back... I was hoping with new owners that it would of been a different experience

Cozy little brew pub located in the heart of McCall. They have a great variety of beers available and the option to take some home too. I tried the Wobbily Man Smoked Scotch Ale and the Tangle Foot English Ale. Both were quite tasty and went down smooth. There's a good food menu too with pub grub. I ordered the bangers and mash. It was a very hearty portion and it paired nicely with my beer choices. The bratwurst was very flavorful. The place is crowded but the servers do their best to provide good table service.

I really enjoyed the upstairs patio with a perfect view of downtown and the lake. Ordered steak fingers which were cooked perfectly although a little on the skinnier side compared to some I had before. However, more than enough for me and my friend to share!

The KO burger while it looks good it was flavorless and so overcooked

What an utter disappointment and should've known better but took the benefit of the doubt and trusted my Yelpers! The only extra star was the ok service despite having to ask for every condiment to go with our food. Inside typical brewhouse vibe and was looking forward to trying it out. Now while they do have a good local beer selection we are taking a break from alcohol so we didn't try any. That might've been the high point. For food we started with the spicy wings. I asked for them crispy and well done. Out they came really fast and I knew from the get go they wouldn't be as ordered. Sure enough they were as expected gummy and not well done. Plus even though we asked for ranch and blue cheese we had to wait another 5 mins to get some. For food I had the KO burger which could've doubled as a hockey puck between 2 buns. It also lacked any seasoning at all on the patty. Plus the fries were right out of a frozen bag. My wife ordered the fish and chips and despite being next to one of the top 10 biggest fresh water lakes in Idaho this was the worst display of fish and chips. Tasted like frozen fish with some I am not sure what breading. For a brewer my how are these not beer battered? Same frozen tasteless fries as well. The fish was so inedible my wife didn't even eat it. This is a once and done place for me and very disappointing. In a town with very limited options for good place they have fallen to just that short!

The tasty Say Whut Coconut Porter.

McCall Brewing Company was a brewery I got to try out a little while ago in neighboring Idaho . I got the Say Whut Coconut Porter. I do really enjoy a good Coconut Porter and this one wasn't too bad. Dark and smooth in body this Porter does a good job with that. Also sweet and as I would hope with Coconut flavors made this porter fairly likeable for me. Not the best Coconut Porter I've ever had but definitely formidable and gets the job done nicely.

We were visiting McCall and decided to stop in to eat at this restaurant. We got seated and everyone decided to use the restroom, as we had been on an ATV for a few hours. The waitress seemed impatient when only 2 people were seated and the others walked off to the restroom. We did give her our drink orders, but she kept showing up when not everyone was at the table. She did answer some questions that we had regarding the menu. My husband ordered the buger with fries. He said it was pretty good, but a bit decent. I ordered the tenders and fries. I thought that the tenders were pretty good, but some pieces were really hard. I still enjoyed them, and loved them with ranch. My FIL loved the onion rings that came with his meal and said they were super tasty. Overall, the food was pretty good and the service was alright.

We came here for lunch on Saturday and had a couple beers and glasses of crappy champagne lol. (Noted for next time, skip the cooks champ). We were starving and ordered the bbq chicken sandwich and chicken tenders. The food was fine, nothing to brag about but it was a good meal and we cleared our plates. Service was good. Bill was pretty pricey spending $72 out the door with tip.

    Mimosa in a beer glass
    Danielle B.

I can now say that I had a mimosa in a beer glass haha. Mimosa was good, cider was great, near looking place, friendly staff. My husband got to taste a couple of their beers and e took a bottle home. I think I would enjoy coming back it is a neat place and we felt comfortable there.

Who needs a waiter arguing with you that he deducted a salad he never served, and you have to take out your calculator and do the math to prove it !!!! I would put on a tattered dirty ski jacket and get in a McCall Soup kitchen line before I went back. It gets the distinguished honor of one of the worst restaurants I've been to. Also no adult leadership or management there. The Mill = " No Bueno"!!!!

Honestly, the only good things I can say are that the location is great (right in the heart of…read moretown, with water views if you get a window seat) and the reservation process was simple online. We made a reservation for 8pm on a Saturday, and honestly, they weren't packed (they still had plenty of tables open). When we arrived there was no one at the host stand, and when they came they didn't check us in right away. Once we confirmed the reservation it took about 10 minutes for us to be seated, and there was a couple that came after us that had a reservation at the same time and were seated before us (okay, no big deal). We did get a window seat, which was nice. But this is supposed to be an upper scale restaurant in the area, and the silverware we were given was dirty, so not a great start. The server came to take our order, we ordered mocktails and a huckleberry lemon drop as well as the bread basket and the cured meat and cheese plate- compared to the Cutwater, honestly, no comparison. The teens didn't even drink the mocktail (which the server did take off the bill, and that was nice) and the lemon drop was okay. The bread basket and meat plate were fine, but we wouldn't order them again. My son ordered the 12oz ribeye (which was nearly 60.00) and I would say at least 50% of it was fat, and his was overcooked. I ordered the flat iron, and mine was undercooked, so he ended up eating mine. The herb roasted potatoes needed seasoning and felt like something they simply tossed on the plate. My daughter's Caesar salad was as expected to a side salad. Our server never came to check on us after the food was brought out, and we waited for her to return after we were done with the food for nearly 20 minutes. Overall we were disappointed and not truly certain why this place is recommended above other similar places in town. Very expensive, seems like it is trying to be upscale or more "fine-dining" but it missed the mark for us.

The staff is wonderful and the menu is not overwhelming and very unique. We had the Elk meatloaf on a recommendation and it did not disappoint. The layers of flavors are off the chart, from the richness of the Elk to the maple bacon gravy combined with the mash potatoes, which had a hint of cheese. The lounge is very warm and cozy as well. We will definitely be back and we give this a 5 must visit.
