Brewery and tasting room with a full bar and five TVs. Plenty of tables and booths to sit at, plus an outdoor rooftop patio. We opted to be inside since winter is still happening. All the wait staff were excellent. They came by several times to make sure everything was okay. The food came out quick, although the pub wasn't busy. Oh yes, to the food. The squeeze and I shared an order of finger steaks and fries. It is our norm to split an order for lunch. The meat tasted good, nice and tender. Spices in the coating decent. The fries were crispy on the outside and fluffy inside. The dip for the finger steaks had a good amount of horseradish in it, wasn't overpowering but put heat into the bite. They did bring an extra plate, which was nice, and not to be charged for it is even better. They may have added some extra fries and fingers, don't know, but we were more than satisfied with the quality and quantity. Hippy Hopped Pale Ale had a nice taste of hops, kind of like a session IPA. The Mackinaw Red brew was oh so malty! It was a little cool in there. read more

The service was fast and prompt but the bartender had the mouth of a sailor. The beer - the Overhung IPA was nothing special that made me think about having two. The pretzel was good, and the hot, spicy mustard was good. Good for a mid-day snack after skiing. The place was kind of broken/trashy. We were sitting at the bar and noticed that the brewing supplies were a little gross. I thought brewers were clean? The signs were not updated and had a make-shift feeling. We tried to give this place two tries because it was convenient. First off, I realize it is Summer but it was HOT inside. AC looked like it was set to 67 but it was not on sooo...it was uncomfortable! The beer was ok, the service was slow. We ordered a couple sandwiches that were very dry. Inside out: decent location! Inside gets very loud and crowded but that's fine. Fun decor! Service: the people were so kind and friendly. I just gotta say we had every problem one could probably have. My friend has an onion allergy and they put onions on her food after asking for non, she asked for no coleslaw and they clearly had put it on her sandwich and scraped it off into a cup. She ordered mashed potatoes with gravy- got fries. They forgot her drink, and while they fixed it all and were so kind, it was still tiring when we were just hungry. I had a burger, it was good, and when they fixed her meal she enjoyed it- it just took a while to get there. I wanted to substitute a side and was given fries and charged full price for an additional side, which again they were willing to fix but my goodness at the end we just wanted to leave. The beer- excellent. Overall I'm sure it's not always like this. The staff were nice, we were hangry but tried not to be a pain about it, the food was good eventually, the beer was fabulous. Cozy little brew pub located in the heart of McCall. They have a great variety of beers available and the option to take some home too. I tried the Wobbily Man Smoked Scotch Ale and the Tangle Foot English Ale. Both were quite tasty and went down smooth. There's a good food menu too with pub grub. I ordered the bangers and mash. It was a very hearty portion and it paired nicely with my beer choices. The bratwurst was very flavorful. The place is crowded but the servers do their best to provide good table service. read more

What an utter disappointment and should've known better but took the benefit of the doubt and trusted my Yelpers! The only extra star was the ok service despite having to ask for every condiment to go with our food. Inside typical brewhouse vibe and was looking forward to trying it out. Now while they do have a good local beer selection we are taking a break from alcohol so we didn't try any. That might've been the high point. For food we started with the spicy wings. I asked for them crispy and well done. Out they came really fast and I knew from the get go they wouldn't be as ordered. Sure enough they were as expected gummy and not well done. Plus even though we asked for ranch and blue cheese we had to wait another 5 mins to get some. For food I had the KO burger which could've doubled as a hockey puck between 2 buns. It also lacked any seasoning at all on the patty. Plus the fries were right out of a frozen bag. My wife ordered the fish and chips and despite being next to one of the top 10 biggest fresh water lakes in Idaho this was the worst display of fish and chips. Tasted like frozen fish with some I am not sure what breading. For a brewer my how are these not beer battered? Same frozen tasteless fries as well. The fish was so inedible my wife didn't even eat it. This is a once and done place for me and very disappointing. McCall Brewing Company was a brewery I got to try out a little while ago in neighboring Idaho . I got the Say Whut Coconut Porter. I do really enjoy a good Coconut Porter and this one wasn't too bad. Dark and smooth in body this Porter does a good job with that. Also sweet and as I would hope with Coconut flavors made this porter fairly likeable for me. Not the best Coconut Porter I've ever had but definitely formidable and gets the job done nicely. read more

We were visiting McCall and decided to stop in to eat at this restaurant. We got seated and everyone decided to use the restroom, as we had been on an ATV for a few hours. The waitress seemed impatient when only 2 people were seated and the others walked off to the restroom. We did give her our drink orders, but she kept showing up when not everyone was at the table. She did answer some questions that we had regarding the menu. My husband ordered the buger with fries. He said it was pretty good, but a bit decent. I ordered the tenders and fries. I thought that the tenders were pretty good, but some pieces were really hard. I still enjoyed them, and loved them with ranch. My FIL loved the onion rings that came with his meal and said they were super tasty. Overall, the food was pretty good and the service was alright. read more

I had only heard bad reviews of this place but decided to stop in just for a drink and maybe a snack when we first arrived in McCall since there are only 3 breweries. We went upstairs and were told to grab a table while the two people working seemed pretty frantic. It was Thursday around 3pm and the whole inside was empty but outside there were maybe 6-8 tables of people. I looked across from me and saw a guy drinking a beer flight and it looked good so I asked to order one as well. The tall white male server went over to grab me the paper to fill out which beers I want and after he walked away, he started talking shit - very loudly - to his female coworker in the upstairs server station about how "everyone kept ordering f%^*ing beer flights. " I worked in the service industry for many years and though I would've talked the same shit, I would've done it out of ear shot of customers. When he returned I opted for ordering just one beer instead so we could go ahead and leave. The beers were good but not worth the crappy service. The food menu honestly didn't look great so I'm glad we skipped out on that. We would not return. read more

We went to this place today for lunch on my wife's birthday. The restaurant is small, but it was completely packed. We ordered two sampler packets (flights) of beer. We enjoyed all of them. None of us are real IPA lovers, but everything we drank was good. We then ordered lunch. I had the pulled pork sandwich, and it was great. The portions were good, and the food was delicious. My wife had bratwurst with mashed potatoes, and said they were delicious. My father in law had clam chowder and said it was outstanding. My mother in law had a chicken sandwich with onion rings and she said the onion rings were the best she has ever had. My oldest daughter had the spinach salad and she said it was excellent. My youngest daughter had a veggie burger and she also said it was good. Our server was McKenna and she provided excellent service. She was so nice and attentive to us. She always made sure we had anything we needed. If you are ever in McCall, Idaho, I would recommend this restaurant. Next time we are there, I will do my best to go there. 3 stars is genuinely the correct rating for this restaurant. The setting is 5 stars. They have a lovely partially-shaded rooftop deck with views of the lake. The interior seating area is nice too. The food is 3-4 stars, on average. And the service is CONSISTENTLY 1-2 stars. So, every once in a while I am tempted to go back to McCall Brewing because of the deck and the decent food and beer selection. Yesterday we made our way to the rooftop deck. A waitress greeted us and said "you can sit anywhere you want, just don't move any tables or any umbrellas... Got it. We had a baby in a carrier with us and looked around and the only remaining shaded table had a couple of glasses sitting on it. It hadn't been cleared yet. So, we sat down and sat back to check out the menu until the waitress shows up to clean the table. We were sure to remain clear of the table to give them space to clean it. The same waitress showed up and had the nerve to say "hey guys, we prefer if you wait for us to clear tables before sitting down." Excuse me? We had already been told we could sit wherever we wanted, as long as we didn't move tables or umbrellas. It's not our fault that the servers aren't timely in cleaning tables, despite the fact that there were only a couple of occupied tables up there and two waitresses to cover them. And we had a child with us, necessitating some shade. We didn't need to be rudely admonished. Next she pointed to a water station where we could get our own waters (?????) That's a nice touch too... Our food came out relatively quickly and tasted OK. Our empty beers went unfilled. A smart server refills drinks to increase the tab and the tip, but not ours. So, basically this place is a mixed bag. If only the service was better, I'd probably stop by almost every weekend. But every time I go, I am so turned off by the insolent servers that it's usually a year or more before I forget how awful the servers are and give it another try. If you want to brave the incredibly ignorant servers, I recommend the Mackinaw Red beer. It's always delicious. Their sandwiches and burgers are usually pretty good. Their hummus is probably made from powder, skip that. read more
