Went to this office as I had some issues with my skin. Kept getting red blotches all over my face, as well as lots of nose peeling. This all, too, was in the middle of the summer, which was strange as typically I can expect this in the winter but not in the summer. Anyway, I went and saw Erin. She gave me a prescription for a face cream and told me if it did not resolve my issue that I could call and either get a new prescription or come in again. As it turns out, the face cream she sent me worked its magic and I have been fine since. Will say this was probably the quickest visit to a dermatologist ever though. Dr. Kennedy is a lifesaver, literally. I have been going to Dr. Kennedy since 2020. I tell people she is something of a cartographer, but instead of studying, mapping, and identifying items on a map, she mapped all the spots, freckles, and moles on my body. Being a fair-skinned person with a family history of skin cancer, I am so thankful Dr. Kennedy takes such care of her patients. Dr. Kennedy first took off a basal cell carcinoma type of skin cancer near my clavicle a few years ago. After that, she saw a freckle-type spot on my forearm looked a bit different this spring. As usual, she biopsied it and it turned out it was melanoma. After the shock wore off and I was told it was just stage 1, I was then referred to Southeastern Plastic Surgery for it to be removed. Had it not been for Dr. Kennedy, that spot would still be there festering and causing more damage, potentially having deadly consequences. I am so thankful for her and her staff and tell all of my forearm friends and co-workers to go to Dr. Kennedy to get checked. I have never had to wait for longer than 5-10 minutes to be seen, so this office is phenomenal overall! read more

Saw another dermatologist just down the street and did not have a good experience so decided to go with Dr. Kennedys office for my annual skin care check this year. It was a 2 month wait before I could get an appointment with their PA, Mckynzie White. I was little hesitant because I obviously wanted an appointment with Dr. Kennedy but did not want to wait any longer. I filled out my new patient paperwork ahead of time so check-in was a breeze. Masks are optional by staff and patients here. I waited about 5 minutes before being called to be seen and Mckynzie White is amazing. I have extreme anxiety but she makes you feel comfortable, actually listens and ensures all of your questions are answered. Go get your annual skin care check with Mckynzie White! read more

Very friendly staff, who makes it easy to make/change appointments. Dr. Kennedy's PA, Jessica, is very professional and friendly and made my first appointment great. Their office is a bit difficult to find because it is hidden, but my GPS was accurate. It is in brick building off side-road off of Thomasville. Private parking available. I called to make an appointment with them, and their message send they would call you back to schedule you. They never called. I waited one month and never heard from them. My wife goes there so I asked her the next time you go see if you can get me scheduled as they never called me back. That was a warning sign I should have listened to as to how they treat their patients. She got me scheduled. I waited two months for my appointment. I was scheduled for 9:00 AM. I arrived at 9:03 AM. I was told by the receptionist they needed me there by 8:45 AM. I was unaware of that. They stated they left a message on my phone. I never gave them my phone number, so what number did they send it to? I had not noticed a message from their office. They stated new patients have to fill out paperwork. I understand that that is a common practice. They said they will have to reschedule me. I said for being three minutes late? The receptionist stated they needed me there by 8:45 AM. So even had I arrived at 9:00 AM my scheduled time they would have rescheduled me and called me late. I got angry and spoke with the office manager. He told me issues about his personal life concerning his wife Dr. Kennedy and their child. I told him that is none of my business. I told him if you wanted me there at 8:45 AM so your P.A. could see me at 9:00 AM you should have scheduled me for 8:45 leaving me enough time to be seen at nine. The three minutes I was behind would not have mattered. It's just common sense. He stated they leave messages on their patient's phones. I said apparently your system doesn't work as I did not see a message from your office to be aware I needed to be there earlier than my scheduled time. They have no verification system setup to ensure the patient is aware to be there earlier than their scheduled time. Scheduling patients ten or fifteen minutes before the time the Dr. or P.A is scheduled to see their patients would solve the haphazard communication method they use. I was kicked to the curb after missing three hours of work and losing income from missing work and told I could go somewhere else. They treated me poorly because they have a bad system that is not set up to help the patient. I have been in the medical field for thirty years. Never would I ever reschedule a patient for being three minutes late. They take the time to come in for their appointment, they wait the time it takes to get an appointment and with traffic in Tallahassee, it is easy to be late a few minutes. Punishing me for being unaware they needed me at 8:45 is ridiculous. They caused the problem then blamed me for being upset. They need to get their act together and stop blaming their patients for their messed-up system. I cannot believe they only had an allotted time of six minutes for my appointment for the PA to see me when they stated seeing me after being three minutes late would make them late for the next patient. They could have seen me to keep their schedule on time and I could have filled out the paperwork after. I gave them my insurance card upfront, so they would have been paid for the visit. The paperwork was only one sheet of paper front and back. It only takes a minute to fill out. Instead of working together to be seen, they sat on their high horse and told me to go away and go somewhere else. They wronged me, then treated me badly after I got mad for their abuse. I cannot recommend this office. In 59 years of my life, I have never been treated so poorly by a Doctors office. I would never spend my hard-earned money in this establishment. They lacked conscience and empathy toward me and could care less about the time I waited on them, missing work, and then chastised me for not knowing they wanted me at 8:45 and not my scheduled time of 9:00 AM. read more

Went in for an initial consultation. (first time going to a dermatologist and was very nervous) The PA I saw had no bed side manners and was extremely short and did not help me feel comfortable at all. I would ask questions and she would answer very shortly like she was just trying to get me out of the room. They also prescribed me a medication that is in the same family of a medication i am allergic too. the pharmacy had to call me and ask if i was aware of this.... that's not ok read more

I've been to Dr. Kennedy three times throughout my two years in Tallahassee and she is amazing! The staff are very friendly and the wait time is impressive. They are punctual with their appointments, if you schedule an appointment for 4:15, they will have you in a room by 4:15. The nurses are very professional and make you feel comfortable about whatever skin condition you have. I recently went in for a skin infection and Dr. Kennedy and the nurses had me in and out in twenty minutes with my procedure and a prescription for antibiotics. I've been a patient of Dr. Kennedy's for over 10 years, and have primarily seen one of her ARNPs, who is very good. I've not been able to schedule an appointment with Dr. Kennedy for years. This review is rather because the cosmetic staff at the office are not well equipped to answer questions that go beyond the purely superficial (they give conflicting answers) and because it is virtually impossible to connect with Dr. Kennedy herself when you need answers. In fact, I now wonder if Dr. Kennedy ever actually goes into the office. Recently I scheduled a consultation to learn about the various cosmetic, laser treatments offered at the office. The consultant was helpful but was really rushing me out - it costs $50.00 and does not go toward the cost of the treatment (which is fine with me). After that appointment I did some internet research and had follow-up questions, which I assumed could be answered over the phone. I was never able to actually talk to the consultant over the phone, only to her assistants. I called several times with questions and got different answers to the same question depending on who I asked. As a result, I ended up changing the type of treatment I wanted and rescheduled 3 times, but always well before the appointment date. Then I got a phone call from one of the assistants, weeks after I made the final change. She said that Dr. Kennedy said that if I rescheduled my existing appointment, I would be charged for the treatment. She said that if I wanted to reschedule that day then I wouldn't be charged. I cancelled my appointment because I found this ultimatum to be offensive. I will not go back there for medical treatment or cosmetic treatment. read more

My daughter had an acute situation which required immediate medical care. She was seen by a P.A., not by Dr. Kennedy. She was put on a course of antibiotics for an extremely painful cyst that increased in size (and pain) by the day. After 10 days it was so bad she couldn't sleep at night. The P.A. just gave her another antibiotic. After 2+ weeks, the cyst was ready to rupture; it was literally the size of a golf ball. Dr. Kennedy never saw her and when I called the office to speak with a PHYSICIAN, they told me "Dr. Kennedy cannot come to phone and she does not return phone calls. At this point, we turned to another doctor (after paying a hefty fee for the initial consultation). When he saw my daughter he immediately said, "that cyst should have been drained weeks ago!!" He immediately "operated" and her pain subsided immediately. He was so kind, caring and superbly skilled I regretted not going to him in the first place. He has his own practice in Tally and the overall care of his practice is far superior to Dr. Kennedy's. She has a plush office but as far as "medical care" goes she's inferior. read more
