She gave me a prescription for a face cream and told me if it did not resolve my issue that I could call and either get a new prescription or come in again. As it turns out, the face cream she sent me worked its magic and I have been fine since. Will say this was probably the quickest visit to a dermatologist ever though. I felt like nothing more than a quick cash grab and here are few of my grievances. I specifically requested NO narcotics for my recovery from surgery. I was instead prescribed twelve Hydrocodone that were included in my prescriptions upon pick up. I advocated for myself and my medical history in this office and I was ignored. I then got a follow up bill 5 months after my visit informing me that I owed them over $2,000 for the medical code being used for sedation. This was after I had paid in full for my surgery at the time it was performed. This was doubly frustrating as I had requested preferably no sedation and just a topical or localized analgesic. The doctor was adamant I needed to be put under. After calling my insurance and verifying the codes, not only did I not owe money... but I was overcharged. I have now been waiting over five weeks for my owed refund. The first check was sent to the wrong address because even though I spent the time to update my address on my forms during office visits, it was never properly entered into their system. I can't in good faith recommend this practice and would recommend traveling a city or two over for your oral and facial surgery needs as that would be an easier process in my opinion.

More than a month later, I received a bill in the mail from their parent company for almost $150 with no explanation of services. I called their office to inquire and they're claiming this is the balance of what I owe for the massage. This would be the most expensive massage I've ever had and the lowest quality by far. Based on their questionable business practices, I will not be returning to Body Wisdom and plan to notify my insurance company of the poor service.
