I didn't experience any irritation or skin issues after at all which was another big worry going into it. I started getting by eyebrows down at hair centric in 2015, LOVED it and was getting my eyebrows waxed CONSISTENTLY (as soon as they were started growing) done from the end of 2015 to mid 2018 and then I would let them grow back before I would get them waxed again. The first time they FUCKED up my eyebrows was 2020 right before the covid lockdown. and ever since then till I stopped going (Augest 2023) they were fucking up my eyebrows or almost letting me walk out with mismatched eyebrows unless I said something even if it was pretty obvious (I know eyebrows aren't going to be twin sisters but they were barley distance cousins) Why did I keep going? 5 years of them doing a great job and knowing other places close by didn't do a good job. They would also do a good job every once in a while so I would HOLD onto that hope but the last time I went they FUCKED up by eyebrow SOOO BAD I had to sit in the car until I stopped crying so I could drive home where I then cried the rest of the day. Even if I would make an appointment they would wait till I was there to heat up the wax so I would have to wait either way. They tried cancelling my appointment 4 minutes after the start time when I walked in at the 5 minute mark (only once did I not show up to an appoinment b/c I though I booked it for a Friday when I actually booked it on a Thursday and I called them to apologize, so it wasn't because I would not show up to appointments)

My wife was the first to discover this salon within walking distance of our house, and raved about both Lily and her service, and after hearing that a haircut here was half the price I'd been previously paying, I needed to check it out. I mean, what's the risk? It's not like I have a whole lot of hair left, anyway! Thankfully, Lily is friendly, professional and extremely talented, able to do the same work as my previous stylist, in half the time, for half the price, so generous tipping is in order! I called the salon and Lilly answered and she was able to take me in, even asking if I was available now. There is free street parking in front of the salon and Lilly greeted me as soon as I walked in. I told her what I wanted done and she did a great job. I got a trim with layers and also got my frizzy hair thinned out. She only charged me $24 plus tip, which is probably the cheapest haircut i have had in 20 years. She did a dry cut which made the appointment go a lot faster, I was done in 30 minutes. Lilly is also super sweet and kept a pleasant conversation going. Her shop is really clean and I felt safe. After the pandemic and moving across states. You can say, getting a very much needed haircut was…read morenot a main priority. You keep thinking you need one, or that you should have made some time, but life gets busy. The other down side is- once you do find the time... getting into an appointment is a obstacle itself. I had a day off one afternoon and being nearby Gresham, I saw Amy on Yelp and decided- why not? Gave her a call and she answered and was able to get me in asap. She was flexible, courteous and kind. Once in, we went over what I would like to get accomplished and the price points. First off, prices are very much affordable. Secondly, she obviously has the experience and care. Noticed when she shampooed my hair the temperature was warm and perfect, and during the final rinse she switched to cool water. She was able to accomplish the length and texture of my hair without overdoing it and gave me the perfect look for my round face. At the end, my hair was silky smooth, soft to touch and cut beautifully all in a short time span. Since we had the time, I also decided to get my eyebrows waxed and let me tell you. My eyebrows looks more fuller! I started off with thin small brows that was grown and unruly and without precision waxing and detailed tweezing she made it seem perfect! Bonus feature is she accepts the 10% discount when you arrive and check in on Yelp. Highly highly recommend for everyone to stop by and try Amy's! Rachel thank you kindly for your time to remove my gel builder nail. -- I wasn't aware there were additional charge for removal of gel builder nail as it did not indicate on the site or the tablet provided at check in upon checking the "gel mani/pedi" options. -- While Rachel did patiently and successfully removed the gel builder off - the process of painting my nails were rushed when her next customer came in (as shown in the photos) and it wasn't sanded down evenly leaving some nails residues painted over, specs popped at the top when I mentioned it while there. Responding to owner: "She's still working on your nails calmly even thought her next appointment already showed. A manicure over an hour was not rush at all. Gel manicure is 30 minutes, but my staff spent an hour on your manicure we have to be fair about that." -- in my experience receiving a gel mani/pedi takes roughly 45 mins each set. I was surprised it was only a 30 min booking each set. My appointment was 4pm-5pm and I was there 4-5:25pm all together. It could have been 45 mins for the gel mani. Responding to owner: "If you can make a trip back to our shop, we will make it right for you." -- I appreciate it but no thank you, I don't I feel safe after witnessing the homeless/crazy guy that was let into the shop to use the restroom compromising everyone's safety including both customers and staff. -- and I had to purchase some equipment online to fix 4 nails on my hands that were chipped off/lumpy due to it being uncured/uneven finishes.
