So, I was a bit at a loss about what to do with my hair. I'm Japanese-American but my stylist wasn't and he always knew what to do with my hair. But, looking for a new stylist I decided to try an Asian stylist. I liked the work that Jessica had up on Yelp, so I booked with her. I'm so glad I did! First, she is very personable; no attitude, just friendly and positive. Then she gave me a great cut. I'm so pleased with it...I took photos a couple of weeks after my cut so you can see it still looks great. I don't need to fuss or style it...I blow dry it and it just magically looks great!

Not once had I ever rescheduled an appointment. So I'm not quite sure about these false claims the manager is placing under my review to save face. Second of all, I changed my appointment, and it was more than a 48 hour notice and a deposit was taken. I was not aware that you guys were keeping tabs for complimentary services which I would tip $10-15 for. Seems petty to be commenting about a client's services in a response to a review. This salon absolutely has poor management practices. In the phone call I asked to reschedule, that was the moment it should've been clarified my card was about to be charged, rather than suprise charge me, and then wait over half a year to respond to my review. Honestly, prior to my last visit I had a great cuts, the stylist I worked with on my last visit was having a bad day and sharing a story that had her mildly worked up that she got distracted and cut my bangs a little shorter than I would've preferred. All the communication including from this review has lacked punctuality and directness as a business, customers definitely don't come first here. Becareful if they save your cc information, because they won't tell you when they'll charge you.

The person who was going to give me the perm informed me she didn't cut hair. I should have left then. She rolled my hair on perm rods. THEN she held the perm solution bottle above my head and squirted it on like a water sprinkler. Most of that solution ended up on my scalp NOT on the hair that was wrapped around the rods. After having perms for over 50 years, in which the perm person SOAKED each individual rod with the solution, it dawned on me that this person had never given a perm before. As she covered the rolled hair with plastic, I wondered if this was a new perming process. Was she going to apply another solution later and soak the hair on the rods? No. After about 15 minutes, she thoroughly rinsed my hair, gave it a quick pat with a towel. Not pressing each individual rod to soak up the water. Then she proceeded to put the neutralizer on the still-soaked-with-water curled hair the same way she had the perm solution--above my head like a sprinkler. Most of that went on my scalp. When she removed the rods, there were a few curls at the ends of my still long (below ears) hair. After the hair cutter cut my hair, this is what I ended up with: So much for a curly perm.
