Kate was kind enough to stop decorating the salon's Christmas tree and take me immediately. I really appreciated that the salon had a plastic divider while she worked on my nails so the filing residue did not land on my clothes. This is a cozy nail salon, looks new and super clean. Two ladies were working on the day that I came with my daughter. We both got mani/pedi. The owner was kind enough to accommodate us although we had to wait midway for a previuosly made appointment. For sure, next time we'll make an appointment ahead of time to avoid the long wait. What I love about the women that did our nails is that they did their job perfectly and beautifully. They didn't rush and were very careful. We moved to the valley in 2020. Prior to our move, I regularly had either gel polish manicures or when those were failing (always peeling), liquid gel nails. I went to Paradise Nail for awhile and then I went to Top Nail for years. The staff there was always friendly and I was happy with their service as long as I stayed with specific people. Once I found Pampered Nails and Kate though, it was a whole other world. First of all, it is the cleanest nail salon on the peninsula. I challenge anyone to find a cleaner more well kept space. New and sterilized tools are always used and come out of sealed packages for their one time use. I was surprised to find that she only does gel polish manicures because at the time I was getting liquid gel nails because the gel polish wouldn't stay on. I can tell you to try gel polish manicure from Katy and it will stay on longer than anyone. She takes her time and ensures the polish is cured for the correct duration between coats and then at the end there is an extra cure. She's a perfectionist as well so you leave with perfect nails. It's really nice not to smell the chemicals from acrylics and liquid gels too. As for their pedicures, they are dreamy. Go with the deluxe that includes hot stone massage. It's really more like a foot massage with a toenail polish at the end. Your feet and calves will feel fabulous. Finally she is extremely professional. Always on time.
