This place is AWFUL!!! I've been three times- I thought I'd give them three tries and after I picked up my poor dog today we will never return. I asked for a simple cut for my poodle, all the same length and to leave a little poof on her head. 7 hours later I go to pick her up and she looks nothing like a poodle!! Flat hair on her head with eyebrows! Shaved her so close to her skin she has multiple areas that are raw and irritated. She is sad and miserable. I have an appointment with our vet tomorrow to look at her wounds. When I asked what happened- I got no real answer. STAY AWAY!! read more

My goldendoodle was recently groomed at Pampered Pets. I don't know what the groomer was thinking! She came out looking like a grown poodle with a puppy cut. She is NOT a poodle and I expected the groomer to know how to groom her breed. And they certainly did not listen to what I wanted. I wanted her taken down to about half her current length. She was not, and the hair on her legs does not appear to have been cut much if at all - they look like cattails! I asked that the hair on her paws be cut short since she is a digger and I don't like her to track in dirt - this was not done at all. Her ears were also not cleaned, something that every other groomer we have used does. And to top it off, we were charged far more than quoted over the phone. I asked for an explanation and was told that we were charged for the scissor work that I did not request or want. I should have refused to pay, but I was too stunned and the process of relaying my dissatisfaction was not effective when I tried it because of the COVID pickup process. I have contacted Pampered Pets with my concerns but have not heard back. I will update this review with their response if I receive one. read more

They took my pug as a walk in. He just needed his nails clipped. Pugs are notorious for not liking their nails clipped. It usually takes 3 groomers with the patience of saints to handle this guy. They were able to clip and grind his nails with one experienced groomer who had a big heart for pugs! We'll definitely be back. read more

It gets one star just for being the ONLY place to "properly" groom a dog without doing it yourself. With that said my dog's hair has been butchered here. I wish I had a picture to share but I'm writing the review a few weeks late. The haircut was uneaven. (i only asked for an all even puppy cut. The hair on his legs is longer than his back. They did not shave ANY hair from his face and he smells like he didnt take a bath but was sprayed with some sort of aftershave. I'm beyond upset. Never again will he come back here. This place is a total ripoff. Brought my cat in for a bath and he needed a little hair removed from his rear area. I had asked for a quote over the phone but they wouldn't give me one. That in itself should have warned me to go elsewhere. Pampered Pets charged me over $80.00. They barely shaved more than an inch or two off my cat's rear area and bathed him. I should mention that this happened in 9/16. Would not recommend. read more

My doggies have come home looking great, smelling pretty and the price has, I thought, always been reasonable. I also know a lot of people who take their dogs there and are happy. Dropped our dog off at 10 in the morning for a 10 o'clock appointment. Made several calls throughout the day asking about when she would be ready. Each time they said they didn't start yet. By the time we picked her up it was 5:30 pm. The dog was handed to my wife without being vacuumed and my wiifes coat, as well as our car, were filled with cut hair. Things happen but this was the second time it happened in a row. I wonder how long the dog sat in the cage, without food. Its a lot of added stress that neither us nor the dog need. Overall, we had a terrible first (and last) appointment at Pampered Pets. As a first time customer, services were not explained and the staff appeared annoyed that we weren't fully versed in available options. Front-desk employee was awfully rude. When we scheduled the appointment, we explained that we needed a cut and a wash. When we arrived, we were told that our appointment wasn't for a cut. Our appointment was at 9 am and were told that our dog wouldn't be ready UNTIL 5 PM!!! I understand that pets can't always control their bladder and bowels, but there was urine all over the floor with no concern from the staff to address it. When I called back to see if we could pick-up our dog before 5 pm, the employee on the phone was extremely rude and, in fact, hung up on me. When i picked up my dog, the cut was choppy and pretty butchered. The charge was $95--seems very high for a cut (they said it was because he was matted, though we hadn't noticed any mats prior to arrival). The cut itself would be 3/5 stars but because of the deplorably rude customer service, they earned a 1 star and gained a customer who will never, ever go back. read more

Pampered Pets does a beautiful job on my American Cocker Spaniel. He is always eager to get in the door and returns home looking very handsome. They work patiently to remove all tangles and knots and return him to me with a shiny, silky traditional cocker cut. read more

I've been taking Isaac my Afghan Hound there for over 6 years. They are wonderful there and do a great job. I've never once had any kind of problem and am always satisfied with the grooming and care they provide. And an Afghan is not an easy dog to groom. I have been pretty loyal with bringing my dog here because it is local and I like to support local business. Well, this last time I brought my dog there they complained about her. That is unprofessional. Their job is to wash my dog, as I am paying for the service. On top of the extra fees for teeth brushing and nail trimming, they did neither. I am furious. This establishment needs to increase their quality of care if they intend to continue to have repeat customers. It is really unacceptable. I will make sure to tell friends/neighbors to take their money else where. read more

DO NOT GET NAILS CUT HERE!! Staff is incredibly unfriendly with both customers and dogs. My dog was moving around and not staying still, instead of securing the dog she cut it while both of them were moving and without a clear view badly hurting my dogs nail. Completely unprofessional and careless. They also hurt my dogs paw by squeezing it extremely hard and yanking it forward cause a nail to crack, again instead of properly securing the dog. My dog left this pathetic excuse for a business with two injuries. I've heard bad things but figured I couldn't be that bad, it was worse. Save your dog the pain and go where they tree dogs compassionately. read more

How this place operates as a business with the lack of common courtesy for its clientele and general kindness for new customers is amazing to me. She treated us so poorly along with calling our dog ugly. She was no help to the skin problems our dog was suffering from. I have no desire to even walk back into those doors if someone paid me. I will never recommend this place for anyone's pets because if they treat their customers so badly, can you imagine what they do to your pets? read more

My Himalayan cat hates going to the groomers or the vets, but they do such a nice job at Pampered Pets that she is not traumatized there. Last year she had a horrible flea infestation despite using Revolution, and they were great about grooming her and helping us get it under control. The staff is knowledgeable, good with animals, and very nice. read more

We brought our new puppy to Pampered Pets twice. The first time he did fine, but I did feel "judged" when I admitted we had bought him from a pet store. I mean...I get it about rescuing dogs but...he's our baby and just as deserving of a good home as any dog. But, other than the feeling I got that they disapproved of our having bought him at a pet store, I thought he came out looking fluffy and cute and seemed to have gotten through it fine. But the second trip. :-/ When I brought him in he had several mats which the woman at the front desk pointed out right away. She seemed annoyed. I was like, "well yes that's why I brought him to a groomer". She asked did we brush him ourselves. Yes, of course! Almost every day! But he's a "shishon" meaning he's long-haired and, well, mats happen. I mean...if I could get him completely mat-free and gorgeous all by myself I wouldn't need a groomer, now would I??? So ok...I'll have to pay extra for the mats but I say ok and leave him. When I arrive to pick him up they are now pretty cagey. They said he had had a bath, and they combed out the mats, but it's clear he hadn't been trimmed. I mentioned the long hair right? We needed him trimmed! Well, they said, he "had been through a lot and they didn't think they should trim him". Hmmmm. Ok. I wasn't sure what she meant--I assumed she meant the mats but...I mean it wasn't like he had dreads...he had a couple of medium sized ones that really didn't seem like that big a deal. We bring him home. He seems fine, just we were kind of disappointed his hair was still so long. It wasn't until the next day that all hell breaks loose. I'm at the grocery store when my daughter starts texting me: "Quinn is crying...I think he's hurt...he won't stop howling." I'm trying to get through the line texting her back saying not to worry, he's fine, probably just ate something that didn't agree with him. By the time I got home my daughter was in near hysterics and it turns out she's right, I can hear the cries from the puppy as I walk in the door. I look but I can't figure out what on earth is wrong with him. Then I flip him onto his back and that's when I see it...his whole belly (they had shaved it) is shaved so close that they took off the skin. He's got 4-5 half dollar sized sores on his belly and they are red and irritated and oozing fluid. Clearly this is causing him a HUGE amount of pain and the poor thing is miserable. I went nuts! We called the vet and they had us treat the sores with an antibiotic cream, and now I'm leaving this review. Between the judginess, the dismay they had over our having brought him to them with some matting, and worst of all the sores they left on his belly, I couldn't recommend them LESS. We have talked to several other groomers in the area before making an appointment with a different company-- now I was a little gun-shy and wanted to be sure of the people I was putting him with--and all of them were pretty surprised that we had experienced this. Quinn recovered fine...he was better in a few days. His next appointment is with a different groomer in a few weeks, we will hope this one goes more smoothly! read more

Awful! Went in for a simple nail trim...called ahead of time to ask the price and was quoted $10. I also asked if they were good with big dogs and were told yes. Went in, they took my dog and I paid the $10 while they had him in the room doing his nails. I looked in at one point and saw three people holding my dog down and muzzling him. He is energetic, but is a gentle giant, and at this point, they should have simply told me they couldn't do it. Instead, they brought him out and told me they were charging me double, making me pay a second time. The worst part is they never provided me with an explanation whatsoever. All they said was "this dog is $20". When I asked if everything was ok, the woman just said "it's fine", and that was all. They should have told me ahead of time that the charge may be more if it took more people, more time, etc. At the very least, they should have given me a reason for the double charge after they brought him out. Very, very unprofessional and I will NEVER step foot in there again, nor would I ever recommend this place to anyone who cares about professionalism and their pet's well-being. read more
