Bisko was mostly in crates and wasn't socialized so he's highly anxious around other dogs and new surroundings) For grooming, he likes the shower part but not the haircut so I was surprised how Helen did not have a hard time with Bisko. First off, I want to say how happy I was that Yelp reviews were actually right this time. Nothing means more to me than my pups. With 2 senior dogs, 1 with toe-cutting hostility and 1 with social anxiety, I am always nervous about how they fare during the sessions, both for them and the groomer. Helen was prompt in answering my questions and setting up a next-day appointment. She has a energetic, yet calming energy (if that makes sense) that put me at ease when I met her. Her love for dogs and her work is palpable. Upon picking up my dogs, I was really impressed. My dogs look better than my normal grooming shop that I take them to. I usually request that one of my dogs not be given the shih tzu cut (though he is a shih tzu), and most groomers still cut him with the shih tzu head. I was so delighted to see that my dog didn't have that cut! For sure, Helen has a natural intuition and skill for her craft.
