The person we spoke to provided us with a detailed list of services, including ear cleaning, nail clipping and grinding, anal glands expressed, trimming of genital fur, and paw fur trimming. We also expressed our desire for a special de-shedding treatment, which we were informed could be added for an additional cost. We took extra care to ensure that all details were confirmed when scheduling Koffi's appointment for 9 AM. We were also delighted to hear that Doggie-Mat could accommodate Koffi after grooming is completed until their 5 PM closing time. We looked forward to a comprehensive grooming experience for our furry friend, especially given the challenges of the summer heat and Koffi's shedding. On the day of the appointment, we dropped off Koffi and received no questions or concerns from the staff. However, our optimism quickly faded when we were called back just two hours later to pick up our dog. This rapid turnaround left us impressed but also suspicious, given the extensive list of services we had requested. Upon arrival to pick up Koffi, we were presented with a bill of $65, a price that not only felt remarkably low for the amount of services we requested, but also did not align with the quote we had received over the phone. Confused, we inquired about the services covered by this amount. To our shock, we were informed that Koffi had only received a bath, which was not at all what we had expected. Our primary reason for bringing our dog to Doggie-Mat was the de-shedding treatment, and it had been completely overlooked. Furthermore, the promised paw fur trimming service was also omitted, despite our hopes of preventing dirt accumulation in the crevices of Koffi's paws. To make matters worse, the staff member proceeded to lecture us, insisting that we should have explicitly stated our desired services during the appointment booking. It was clear to us that the miscommunication was not on our part but rather a failure of the establishment to provide the services we had originally agreed upon. In retrospect, perhaps one mistake on our end was not confirming the specifics of the bath and de-shedding services upon bringing Koffi in for his appointment. Nevertheless, we believe that the initial phone conversation should have clarified these details and expectations. However, we must mention the some positive aspects of our visit. Koffi smelled amazing, and they added a charming Halloween-themed bandana when we picked him up. It was a lovely surprise. The staff member also took the time to inform us that the groomer commented on how Koffi was a very sweet boy during the grooming process. This made us incredibly happy, knowing that our dog is well-behaved and appreciated by the staff. Overall, our visit to Doggie-Mat left us highly disappointed and frustrated. What should have been a positive experience was marred by a failure to communicate and deliver on the services we had originally agreed upon. I was very impressed . I have a 14 year old Yorky with bad hips cataracts some memory loss and this Shop did amazing. She didn't come back home like trembling and fear. She was actually left the location very happy. She didn't seem as if she was sedated like other shops. I was very pleased, and they promised me that they would give her the best care, considering her age and allowed more time to even take care of her so that made me feel more comfortable what I recommend this place to anyone it's a definite yes the location isn't very presentable outside nor the inside but when I tell you, they give your pet excellent care it's excellent care so thumbs up great place to take your pet who is also your family member. Although they did a good job, the service and convenience at Doggie Mat was exceptional. My pet's nails needed to be trimmed, so I contacted the Doggie Mat. The employee who took my call was friendly and indicated I could bring my awesome pug in right away. I drove to the Doggie Mat and was in and out in about 15 minutes; even though they appeared to be very busy. The employee, who might have been the owner, was awesome. I could tell she was great with animals. At the conclusion of the nail trimming, the employee indicated our pug was a good girl, and there were no issues. The cost for the nail trimming was only $10.00. We look forward to returning to the Doggie Mat to pamper our pug some more! read more

First time here. I did the self service And probably will never come back. The people working here were nice but not very informative. Since it was my first time here they only set me up with shampoo and conditioner someone did help me bring up my dog but they didn't have stairs .... I had to ask for a brush. They provide you towels , I had to ask if I can use the blow dryer. Initially they should've said "here's shampoo conditioner, This is how you use the blow dryer, if you need a brush here you go" instead of me looking around and asking someone that was pre occupied. They wanted to give me a dirty bathtub but someone came up and rises it down. Get this if you do the self serve you have to wash and dry your pup in the same tub so my pup was still wet because instead of moving him to a spot where the whole surface was dry I was drying him in the tub I just washed him in. Overall not a good experience. And the place looked dirty, not like of dogs wash and dry here but overall the walls the space everything. I'm going to try scrubby puppy but yeah not coming back. I've been taking all of my dogs to doggie mat for YEARS. I recently took 2 of my small dogs to get their nails clipped. I was paying $5 per dog, then the price jumped to $10 and very recently they jacked the price to $12 per dog. It's called gouging customers. The price shouldn't change if there are no additional supplies needed. Same cutters, Same amount of time, same 2 small dogs. I checked with 2 other groomers and they agree with me. We have been bringing our two dogs (Pomeranian and Miniature Pinscher) here for the last 5 years. They always take good care of our dogs and we have never had any issues. They call us right when our dogs are ready for pick up, and give them top notch care every time. Our dogs have had the following services: bathing, grooming, nail trimming, express anal glands, and teeth brushing.Their prices are very reasonable. They also spray our dogs with a doggie perfume so they leave smelling great. I love that they keep track of the services we request and the way we like our Pomeranian groomed, so that we just have to drop them off and they take care of the rest. Recently we've stopping dropping off our Minature Pinscher since she's getting very old and prefer her to just get her nails clipped and come back home. My go to groomers for my dog!! I have a big shepherd who is 100 lbs so it is very hard to bath him at home. I always call to make an appointment, because they do get very packed. I also like that this place is pretty close to home. It does take a while. Usually I make an appointment for 10am and get a call to pick him back up around 2 or 3pm. My dog always comes out super soft and smelling fresh! He also gets a nice bandana each time. During holidays, they have holiday ones to go with the theme. They have always been friendly when I came and apparently, I'm told that my dog is very good during his bathing and grooming session. At home, it's so hard for me! His extra hair is all brushed out and they clean his ears and trim his nails also. For my dog, since he is big, it costs me $43. The price went up a little, as it used to costs me $40 when I first took him. I believe small dogs start around $20. Prices can vary also depending on the type of hair your dog has. We come every month or 2 or if I know my dog will get really dirty. For example, the last time when I took him to the groomers (last week), we went on 2 hikes where he got to play in lake water and also the beach and rolling in sand. I made an appointment for the next day after both hikes, so the following morning he went to the groomers and came back all nice and clean after. To me, the $43 is 100% worth it so that I do not have to deal with the hassle and the mess of trying to bathe my dog at home! I also really get scared of cutting dog nails, so that's another bonus for me! The only thing that sucks for me is that they close every Sunday and Monday and those are the 2 days that I always have off. I recommend coming here, and I will continue to take my dog here. I have another coworker who also takes his dog here and he really likes it too. They take both cash and card. read more

I was searching for a local groomer for my dog last year and I found Doggie Mat through Yelp. I decided to take him here and I was very happy with their services. For his breed, the recommended look was a bear cut. Unfortunately his face didn't work with that. Lol I let it grow out before I took him again and I spoke with the associate and we picked out something else on their wall of pictures. On the next visit his look was definitely better. It resembled a bear cut but not completely the bear look. I also mentioned to be careful of his eyelashes and that he's sensitive with his nails. It was here that I found out the reason why he's afraid of getting his nail cut. She mentioned that she noticed dogs who had their front legs bent inward were more likely to be afraid of getting their nail cuts. Good information to know! The next time I took him, I showed a picture of a cut I wanted to try and it came out great! They took great detail of what I mentioned while we were talking.
