Not authentic mexican bread is made with vegetable lard instead butter that's why has no taste at all, is just like white bread with sugar!! Never again Pan terrible sin sabor, hecho con manteca vegetal en ves de mantequilla por eso sabe feo como si comieras pan blanco con azúcar, tire a la basura mi dinero!!

This place is a hidden gem! I'm so glad I found this place. I was looking for a place to get dessert and stumbled across this business. They have dozens and dozens of things to choose from. I got two different types of tres leches, cheese cake, an item similar to a danish, a cookie, a donut, a concha, and a churro for just $7 and some cents. Thank you to the girl who was working behind the counter, she really helped me out. I can't wait to come back and try other items. Forgot to take a picture before me and my family dug in

Great service BUT their Tres Leches cake was really dry and dense, they need to work on their recipe. I probably won't be going back.

Pretty good bread and the tres leches is by far the best I've had here in Texas. Ladies working there are real nice and helpful.

Fed an entire group with two big bags of pastries for under $10. Everything I tried a little bit of was delicious.

Let me just say this was the softest, lightest, airiest, perfectly sweetened concha I have ever tasted.

Fortunately, if you're not dining in, ordering from the to-go line is very quick, and there's even a comfy seating area in the front where you can enjoy your food and beverages. In addition to a double shot espresso I ordered, I also got a broccoli mac and cheese croissant. The croissant was expensive ($7.50), but it's hearty enough to be a meal. I wasn't offered an option to toast up the pastry, but I didn't particularly mind the coldness of the mac and cheese component of the pastry. The croissant surrounding the filling was flakey with nicely laminated layers. Meanwhile, the filling was satisfyingly salty and rich. Although the pastry was tasty, it's probably something I would only try once -- rather than something I would get regularly, due to how heavy the pastry ate. Overall, if you're looking for skillfully prepared, creative pastries, La Casita Bakeshop definitely fits the bill.

The one thing that freaked me out was I did see a bad bug in the place and notified the cashier. They were able to squash it but it did ruin my appetite a bit. I know these things happen but I hope that it isn't a bigger problem. My friend to go'd a delicious cake that was seasonal and it was beautiful and delicious. She got another dessert that was a bit heavy for our liking that was also seasonal but the flavors were still good.

Inside has lots of sitting areas, but it does get filled fast with people who want to relax and study or read a quiet book to themselves. There's seasonal drinks are delicious, but I stick to my tried and true- Beez Kneez I had a little modification of a little extra honey, and a few splashes of heavy cream. If you ever tried and loved the Bell milk from La La Land, you'll know why I quickly became addicted to adding heavy cream too all my coffees lol Everyone there is always so friendly and quick to recommend things if you're deciding between two different drinks. Located among the shops and bars of historic downtown sits 1418 Coffee, a cute and genuinely great little shop that fits the area perfectly. Inside, the shop is fairly narrow but offers a good amount of both indoor and outdoor seating. I arrived with a friend a little before 11 am on a Sunday, and it was absolutely packed. A biking group was posted up outside, students were inside working on homework, even though most colleges have not started yet, and plenty of other patrons were taking their Sunday mornings easy. Despite having at least 10 to 15 people in front of us, the line moved pretty quickly. My friend who was more of a regular at the shop knew a lot of the staff and had convos with them. It feels like a little community! I ordered the Maple Sausage Croissant sourced from Sugar Loaf Bakery along with a hot Purple Haze latte made with lavender and vanilla syrup. My drink came out fairly quickly, and I thought it was great. It was well balanced and not overly sweet. As for the Maple Sausage Croissant, it was exactly what it sounded like, a maple sausage tucked into a croissant. I initially expected the croissant itself to be maple flavored, similar to a McGriddle, but it was still fresh and enjoyable. They had been keeping them warm in a heater throughout the morning, which definitely helped. I have stopped by 1418 Coffee a few times when visiting Dallas, and I plan to keep returning. They consistently do a great job and fit right into the charm of downtown Plano. RIYL: A warm haven in a beautiful downtown.
