Really enjoyed my visit to 1418! Plenty of tables inside to do work and love the moody lights. I ordered the matcha and thought it was really good. You can sub whole milk to oat for $1. They also sell their own coffee beans and the date roaster was fresh! Will try their coffee in my next visit!
I always get a little envious of how every suburb of Dallas seems to have such a cool town square, and Plano is no different. Located among the shops and bars of historic downtown sits 1418 Coffee, a cute and genuinely great little shop that fits the area perfectly. Inside, the shop is fairly narrow but offers a good amount of both indoor and outdoor seating. I arrived with a friend a little before 11 am on a Sunday, and it was absolutely packed. A biking group was posted up outside, students were inside working on homework, even though most colleges have not started yet, and plenty of other patrons were taking their Sunday mornings easy. Despite having at least 10 to 15 people in front of us, the line moved pretty quickly. My friend who was more of a regular at the shop knew a lot of the staff and had convos with them. It feels like a little community! I ordered the Maple Sausage Croissant sourced from Sugar Loaf Bakery along with a hot Purple Haze latte made with lavender and vanilla syrup. My drink came out fairly quickly, and I thought it was great. It was well balanced and not overly sweet. As for the Maple Sausage Croissant, it was exactly what it sounded like, a maple sausage tucked into a croissant. I initially expected the croissant itself to be maple flavored, similar to a McGriddle, but it was still fresh and enjoyable. They had been keeping them warm in a heater throughout the morning, which definitely helped. I have stopped by 1418 Coffee a few times when visiting Dallas, and I plan to keep returning. They consistently do a great job and fit right into the charm of downtown Plano. RIYL: A warm haven in a beautiful downtown.
This cafe has a beautiful "academia" interior. It feels sitting in a sunroom in the house of your quirky great aunt. Customer service interactions are laid-back and friendly, but do not be mistaken- all of the employees are bookin' it behind the counter. I had a delicious caprese sandwich (which came with a choice or regular/salt&vinegar/japaleño chips). I also tried their #1 speciality latte; the Purple Haze, which featured lavender and vanilla. Oh my god, I have never had a lavender latte that I actually liked! Not liked, LOVED! Literally, every lavender latte I've ever has tasted like soap, but the Purple Haze here has changed me. I thought it was a risk, but being their top drink I just had to try it. If you go on Saturday morning, be ready to wait in line, but it's so worth your time.
Hands down love 1418 Coffee even after only three visits! I'm working in Plano this month and needed to find a good caffeine stop after my long commute from Fort Worth. The baristas are all super friendly and were happy to answer all my questions. It's also super cozy with dim lighting, and the music isn't super overpowering or loud. There's mostly comfy couches but also a few tables and high top seating. Just a little chilly, so I'd recommend bringing a jacket. I was able to comfortably complete some work on my laptop, with working wifi. There were also people here socializing in the morning. They no longer serve breakfast tacos, so I opted for a bacon cheddar scone at one visit and a lemon blueberry scone on another. They were both delicious! The baristas told me that their chai leans toward the sweeter side versus the spicier side, so I opted for an iced sugar-free vanilla latte, which was not overly sweet. I also tried the beez neez (latte with honey and cinammon) another time and enjoyed it! They offer 2% milk, which I don't always find at coffee shops. Since it's in downtown Plano, there's street parking, which wasn't difficult for me since I came at 8 AM. I believe there are parking garages located nearby. Overall, I've greatly enjoyed 1418 Coffee and will most definitely be visiting more throughout this month while I'm working in the area!
We were looking at homes near by and stopped in to grab a coffee before heading to work. 1418 Coffee is located in a downtown area so I can see how parking on a busy weekend might be difficult but we parked in a near by garage with no problem. There is also a ton of street parking. This coffee shop has a great feel, nice lighting, and tons of seating options to include couches, tables and bar style seating. We ordered the seasonal offerings which were the pumpkin spice latte and the apple butter latte, both hot and both were delicious. We also tried the mix berry tart and when I tell you we went back again today it was specifically for the tart. So so good! All of the baristas were patient and helpful and commiserated with us when we order a sausage roll but they were already sold out.

I got the vanilla matcha and it was pretty solid. Would be back to study because I really liked the second back room, there's a nice ceiling window and a big table to study in.
Could not recommend this place enough! Such high quality coffee and pastries are fresh, and delicious! The atmosphere is warm and inviting with a variety of seating options. Above all else the staff in phenomenal. They are personable, caring, and so eager to serve the customers!
This place was amazing!!! I have been wanting to try it out for a while and I am so glad I finally did. First of all the service was awesome and the baristas are so kind and helping. Along with that the drink menu is nice offering coffees, teas, and other drinks that I am sure whoever visits will find something they like. The drinks themselves were delicious and on top of that the vibe and ambiance in there was awesome. They have a lot of seating inside and have an outside patio with comfortable seating as well. My favorite part however was the extra room they have going outside and past the patio. Inside there is more seating in a quiet room that has amazing decorations and a skylight. The vibes were awesome and I will definitely be making this a regular place I hit up especially when I want a good drink and a nice place to study and get work done!

DRINKS The Purple Haze - This is a lavender and vanilla-based coffee. I got it iced. Both flavors are very subtle which give a nice aroma and hint of sweetness to the coffee. The coffee seems a bit watered down in my opinion. Still decent though! VIBES The vibes are nice historic downtown vibes. There is outdoor seating as well as seating indoors from couches to high tables with stools to long tables and more! It's pretty spacious. The lighting mostly comes from the window and some overhead dim lights which give a nice ambiance. Bustling with people who are catching up, friends, and people working. Wifi is pretty fast too! SERVICE The person ordering my drink was very friendly. They are also quick to get the drinks out. No complaints regarding service!
Stopped by on a Saturday afternoon and grabbed two Purple Haze iced lattes with almond milk. The cashier was nice, though not super chatty. We also ordered the Maestro (ham, cheese, and fig jam) -- it was pretty good, just took a bit longer to come out. There's a patio outside which is great for extra seating if you get a little cold inside. Overall, solid spot for coffee and a bite
Great coffee spot. Great ambiance. Lots of seating with outlets along the walls. Was recommended the banana foster latte and was pleasantly surprised with how good it was. It wasn't very bitter but also wasn't overly sweet. The latte art on top was very impressive and all the baristas are super sweet!
This is my absolute favorite coffee shop. I live in Massachusetts but travel to the Plano/Richardson area for business several times a year. I make sure to start out every day with a cortado and often grab one of the triple berry tarts as well. It's always consistent and very smooth. Definitely stop here if you're anywhere nearby. You won't be disappointed.
Dropped by this cozy / hipster vibe spot for the first time this morning and tried a David Mason latte and an excellent blueberry muffin. My better half had a Beez Kneez latte and a lemon scone. Everything was fantastic and I would highly recommend the place as one of the best coffee spots I've tried in the Dallas area. The staff was courteous, fast, and came unprompted and cleared our table when we finished any food item, which is not often the case in my experience. On a Monday between 9:30a & 10a they were busy, but they were very well-staffed and moved fast without rushing anyone, and the line wasn't out the door. There's also a free covered garage right around the corner behind the location, so parking within a block or so of walking distance isn't a problem. read more
This coffee shop quickly became my husband and I favorite spot. This shop is tucked away in a cute area of downtown Plano. Inside has lots of sitting areas, but it does get filled fast with people who want to relax and study or read a quiet book to themselves. There's seasonal drinks are delicious, but I stick to my tried and true- Beez Kneez I had a little modification of a little extra honey, and a few splashes of heavy cream. If you ever tried and loved the Bell milk from La La Land, you'll know why I quickly became addicted to adding heavy cream too all my coffees lol Everyone there is always so friendly and quick to recommend things if you're deciding between two different drinks. I have been here during my last visit to Plano back in 2021. I loved their ambiance. There are lot of place to sit inside or a patio tables outside. A giant thank you to 1418 Coffee House -- we enjoyed our lunch, the customer service, and loved your vibe! My daughter & I savored a scrumptious chicken salad sandwich called The Lucy. Made in-house, with tender, fresh chicken, including tasty sweet cranberries, all tucked into a cloud-like croissant. We also indulged in a mocha frappe--hands down, the tastiest in town! TIP: Parking is a beast! There is a parking garage directly behind their building. Fair warning there were only 3 handicap spots. All of them were full at 2pm on a Wednesday. TIP: Every table was taken. Many people on their phone/ laptops, and thats okay if they are customers. BUT, the majority had no problem taking space that could easily seat 4 people. Frustrating to those of us who were there to spend money on food, pastries, and drinks. We would have spent more money if we had a place to sit and eat .. comfortably. When the Texas weather snaps to cooler weather, the outside seating area in front of the building will add extra space to this crowded spot. They do offer another outside area in the back, but it sorely lacks the same vibe. We look forward to making this part of our favorite lunch rotation and want to to try more items on their menu. Then again, if they can't gain quality control with the freeloaders, we might look for another spot. There's too much competition to struggle with this! read more

I went here today and I have to say that I am so impressed with this place! The vibes here are so great and cozy with the music and interior. Also my coffee was so good, I got the Purple Haze (iced) which is a latte with lavender and vanilla, very well mixed and consistent flavor. Austin is a great barista, he was very enthusiastic and kind while helping me and my family with our orders. The star of my night that inspired me to give a five star rating (or more if I could) is the brownie I had! The brownies they make here are the best I've ever had, they are big and soft while also being perfectly fudge and moist. If I wasn't full I'd have another one. read more

As soon as I walked in I was comforted by the warmth, and the dim lighting. They have plenty of seats high and low for your preferences. They offer food, coffee of course, stickers, and soo much more. I got a purple haze iced coffee and it had the perfect hint of lavender. The staff was super helpful and offered suggestions for some of the most popular drinks and I was not disappointed. Would for sure come back! read more

This place ain't a Starbucks We were in Plano for a HS graduation and on Sunday morning before everyone went their ways, we looked for a coffee shop central to where we all at and 1418 Coffee was it. It's an amazingly cute and quaint place in the Plano Historic district. There were several of use and made it work by moving some chairs around. There is outside seating but the weather is warming up with Texas humidity so inside it was. I had an iced coffee and wife had a hot carmel macchiato. And, and we had a a breakfast taco and a bacon cheddar scone. Scone was great. The taco was big enough for us to split. We had a great time and the this joint is awesome. A very laid back vibe. Loved this coffee house! I stopped by for a small bite and coffee this morning, and I was blown away by this place! The ambiance is amazing and super cozy - there are tons of couches to relax and sit down on, and the place itself just feels homey. The baristas are incredibly kind, helpful, and friendly. I ordered the David Mason (iced) and thought it was unique and delicious. It had the perfect amount of sweetness. I also got a breakfast potato taco, which came with a little container of salsa and was loaded! It was excellent. The drink came out quickly, and it was the perfect temperature inside to stay cool on a warm summer day. Highly recommend 1418, it may become my go-to coffee shop in the area! read more

Super cute hang. The vibe is on. Welcoming and friendly. Plenty of seating inside and out. Gender neutral restrooms. Good location. Even Parking right out front. I have been a few times. They boast craft coffee but don't say which roaster provides their beans. I like their lavender latte, and prefer hot over iced. TBH it's too sweet and syrupy. But it's an interesting variation on the lavender. I like hanging here. We recently tried this coffee shop for the first time and were impressed. The interior is nicely done with various types of seating, including chairs, recliners, and couches. The staff behind the counter were very friendly. We ordered a cappuccino with oat milk, drip coffee, and a chicken salad sandwich--everything was excellent. When I thought I lost my phone, the guy behind the counter immediately helped us look for it and even took our numbers in case it was found. Fortunately, we found it in the car and went back to let him know. The food and service were outstanding, and I will definitely return with friends to try more of their menu. I do wish they had more gluten-free options, as I could only enjoy the cappuccino while my friend enjoyed the food. read more

The spot is a staple in the downtown Plano area, and has one of the best cups of coffee you'll get as well. Their food is yummy, I'm personally a fan of their zucchini muffin (having it warmed up is such a treat) and they have a ton of options including tacos, cookies, and scones. The ambiance when you walk in is as if you're watching a 'study with me' YouTube video. It's so chill, low lighting, and lots of comfortable seating. Staff here is friendly and warm, and willing to give you the 'tea' on all their favorite menu items. I went with the caramel macchiato, and it was one of the best pours I've had in a while. This sandwich has roast beef, cheese, and mustard. It was $10. And it took them 14 minutes to get it out to me. And it's half warm, half cold and could not have been more blah. The shop was not busy at the time. Extremely disappointing. read more

Whenever I travel, I'm always trying to visit local coffee shops. This one is in downtown Plano and was a gem to find. First off, the vibe is great. Chill yet with energy. I was only picking up to go on a Sunday morning but there was already a hood crowd inside. Second, the coffee was delicious. Lavender latte did not disappoint! I can see why it is a crowd favorite. My mom also had the drip coffee and loved it. She's the first to comment if something is not good and not a peep on this from her. The staff was friendly and helpful even while fielding an already busy Sunday morning. We grabbed some breakfast items to go and all were good (ie croissants, fruit tart, muffins). They also had a few GF things too. The also serve Emporium Pies! I don't live in the area but know about these pies. If we weren't traveling this day, I definitely would have picked one up. Bottom line: great coffee, food and service! Note: street parking might be hard to find pending time of day but there's a parking garage nearby. read more

This place has a nice drink selection, although I wish their snack selection was better. It's obviously very popular because there was nowhere to sit indoors when I came. I think this is a place people come to hang out for quite awhile, which is a positive sign (although unfortunate for myself). I did sit outside, but it was a bit hot, so I didn't stay longer than necessary. I ordered a chai latte & added a cheddar biscuit. My bf got a simple café au lait & one of those "piggy in a blanket" pastries. I thought the food were both okay, but not great. He enjoyed both, which I'm glad. I would come back for a beverage & hope for a seat inside, but maybe not for snacks unless something new catches my eye. It's not the most quiet place, so if you hate silence, this is a great "chatter ambiance" spot. read more

Points for variety - lots of drinks and food to choose from, ranging from coffee and tea to sandwiches and pastries. I wish I could try everything! The food looked good but I didn't order any myself this time. I ordered the blackberry matcha latte (seasonal spring drink), which I thought was a cool combination I haven't seen before! Unfortunately, the matcha was not strong at all, so I'll have to subtract a star based on the one item I ordered. The blackberry flavor was good, but I think a stronger matcha flavor would have balanced the sweetness from the blackberry a lot better.
