On Friday April 5 around 10:30am went to get something to eat there. Service was horrible. The tall Asian woman who waited on me doesn't smile and gets the order always wrong. And is very argumentative. The owner of the establishment is very adverse to hearing any negative comments. He is a religious Christian / Catholic and feels his judgement is always the right one. This will be quick review. After picking up my nieces from a local military academy, we decided to stop here for a quick breakfast bite. It is located in an industrial area and is easy to miss because of that. However, if you decide to eat here, I think you will enjoy it. I had a made to order omelet and blueberry pancake, my sister in law who is a health nut, had the egg white sandwich with avocado and my niece had chocolate chip pancakes. The feedback I got from them was it was delicious. My sister (in law) wants to replicate the sandwich she order and my niece like her pancake. I had a made to order omelet that I found to be tasty with a little added salt. I gave this place five stars because we came on a Saturday mid-morning around 12pm and the place was packed to where we had to wait for a seat. When we stood in line for seating we were talking quite loud about whether we should leave because of how packed they were. Less than 30 seconds later, the "owner" who was seated at the bar, turned around and asked us if we were waiting to be seated and told us it would be about 10 minutes even though it looked crowded. He then proceeded to ask us if we had been there before and we said "no" he then told us we must not be from the area and the answer was again "no". He asked us to wait and we don't know what we were missing. I love good hospitality so I said "ok". Fast forward to what gives this place a five. The person at the front of the line was a party of three but the person behind him was a party of one. The owner seated the party of one first but...he explained to the party of three in front of us, why he seated the party of one first so that everyone would hear. It was because the location of the seat would not accommodate three people. For me, that outlines good customer service. This could have clearly evolved into " I was here first" but instead he defused it immediately. The food review...my omelette was tasty enough and large enough to last two days. My blueberry pancake, just ok but still good. My sister (in law) and niece really enjoyed their food. Overall, I recommend a stop here for a good meal. The menu offers may different breakfast items along with lunch items. It is tasty and customer service was quite good for such a busy time. Tips should be handed directly to the wait staff, however. The tables are very close together and it is easy to snatch from a table if tempted. read more

Found this on a random yelp search while on my short trip to the Hudson Valley NY area. Don't let the plain Jane , "hole-in-the-wall" look on its outside fool you. Inside is actually quite cozy, and when ordering, I was pleasantly surprised that they also have gluten-free friendly options. And not only are the staff very warm and friendly , but the customers seem very friendly too, almost felt like I was in one of those friendly communities you saw in classic 80s movies, (didn't know they still existed but I'm glad they still do, in this case at least) which makes a great difference. So this is definitely one of my favorite breakfast spots in Rockland! It seriously never disappoints. Also... they are always packed so be prepared to wait for a table (short wait time though - only 15 minutes or less) or if you get lucky you'll walk on into an open booth or table. The interior is a no frills, casual diner setting with tons of waitresses and a busboy buzzing around taking orders and bringing coffee and food nonstop. My go-to orders are the blueberry pancakes which are reasonably priced, incredibly big and fluffy and filled with fresh ripe blueberries. Then comes a western omelette with home fries extra crispy. Lastly the Hoboken sandwich which is roast beef with fried onions and Russian dressing on grilled buttery rye bread substituted with waffle fries! Great breakfast spot in Rockland! I visited on a Sunday around 11am and it was very busy, but we only had to wait 10-15 mins to be seated. I had a bacon, egg, cheese, and potato sandwich and chocolate chip pancakes. The sandwich was pretty good. The pancakes were amazing! They were generous with the chocolate chips (which is a huge plus for me!). Please note that the pancakes here are huge; I was full after eating just half of one! Very unfortunate to have eaten hear alone. After bring seated at a "booth for two", which I did not request, I placed my order and received coffee. Then I was approached by the owner in a most excited, hostile manner, telling me that I never should have been seated at a booth. "That was a mistake. It could get very busy". It was 2 pm and there were several empty tables and booths and no crowd waiting. I asked if he wanted me to leave. No, I was told, but he hoped that I wasn't planning on having a "leisurely meal". He hoped that I would be quick and not "take my time". He kept on firing comments at me and did not relent. I almost spit out my coffee. He had no consideration for me as a patron. I was made to feel insignificant and unwanted. I actually felt bad for my server who kept apologizing although his employer did not. I ate quickly and told the owner how I felt before leaving. He saw how upset I was and offered an empty apology with excuses. I said that I hoped he never had anyone speak to him that way or to make him feel small. I left wondering if he had a problem with single people dining, woman, or if he was just a jerk. Possibly all three? Still empty booths when I left. Here for Father's day so glad we passed by because there was no line! They had outside seating set up so social distancing approved. Tables and surrounding area was clean and the service was awesome. Did not expect the many options on the menu and everything was great. Servings are quite big and prices were great as well. Plus they had turkey sausage (for all the non pork eaters out there ) Hashbrowns were seasoned perfectly, usually not the case in some places, very generous with cheese on the eggs (a but heavy but still good) amd the pancakes were big and perfectly golden. If you are a party of 2 that can agree, go with one of the deluxe meals to share, and side order of any extras. There is something for everyone here. read more

Made a pit stop for lunch here in the middle of a road trip. Very easy on/off the highway traveling northwest on 287/87 and I was astonished at how quickly the wait staff took our order and brought hot food out to the table! Everyone was very happy with their meals (which included 2 tuna melts, 1 veggie burger, one spicy chicken wrap with sweet potato fries, and one salad). Most items came with French fries or cole slaw and a pickle. Nice big tables with lots of room for groups, and plenty of high chairs available. We have been here a few times, always a wait but worth it. It has the atmosphere of a large coffee shop, a rare find these days. (How I miss coffee shops!) I usually order eggs but the last time I ordered a small side of pancakes, just to try them. They looked delicious, but the flavor just wasn't there, and they were a little overcooked and chewy for my taste. The coffee is awesome, hot and they walk around offering refills. Eggs and potatoes are good, served hot and portions are just right. Bathrooms are always clean, which makes coming here preferable to a diner (I've yet to find a diner with a clean bathroom). There is a slightly rushed feeling because the waiting area is basically in the corner of the dining room. If you sit near the front it is awkward eating at a normal pace when hungry people are watching you while they wait for their table. This charming little diner is located in what looks like a deserted warehouse parking lot. In my opinion, it's in an odd location. However, inside its really cute, I came on a Sunday morning and the place was busy but not too packed or unruly. The service was super friendly and accommodating. Encouraging even. The pancakes are HUGE. All caps for emphasis. They have a full b fast menu of eggs, waffles, fruit bowls, toast lol, ect, but the star of the menu is the pancakes. They have a nice variety of how you can order them. They serve you cute little personal jars of syrup. Pumpkin pancakes are really good here. I frequently go to this diner when in Rockland when visiting my in-laws. In the few times I have been here (random weekday morning, or weekend brunch time) we have been seated quite quickly, even on the weekends when the parking lot/waiting area and restaurant are all packed! The waitresses here are the star of the place, aside from the pancakes, they are so friendly, very very attentive, always come by for refills on coffee or to drop off napkins when see you running short, tip them well-they more than deserve it and earn it! Go hungry, you wont be disappointed and you probably wont be able to finish your plate-their servings are just that enormous. 1. I've had their banana walnut pancakes, chocolate chip pancakes and their plain buttermilk ones....3/3 were a success! 2. eggs, each time I have ordered them, are plentiful in portion and cooked well, not too stiff and definitely not too runny 3. hashbrowns are so so-usually to mushy, undercooked for me, and ill seasoned 4. my wife loves their coffee, I cannot vouch for this since I dont drink it, but their OJ is fine for me! 5. yes their add on toppings (ice cream, fresh fruit, vegetables, avocados etc) can add a few bucks here or there for either your pancakes, waffles or omelets but because their pricing is so low and fair for what you get, its really not a big deal definitely a fan of this place, just wished their hours were a bit more extended on weekends. read more

My parents and I just left this restaurant after being so rude to us by the owner and one waitress who looked at my 72-year-old mother and said she doesn't have time she hasn't had coffee yet for her, I spoke to the owner, who, then proceeded to tell me how busy they were with four tables and tell us to leave because my mom was trying to be funny with a server who is miserable. Came in today as I do time to time. The pancakes are decent but nothing special. Most of the wait staff are good but had a weird interaction with the guy busing the tables. I was reading the paper and the bill came so I put down my tip and grabbed my phone and went to pay the bill. I forgot to gather the newspaper I was reading. The bus guy came over and started yelling at me to take my paper. I thought he was joking at first but he was serious. Not the way you want to start your day.
