Highly recommended the chicken pot pie (fresh real shredded chicken) and Shepards Pie...YUM! They also came with soup, delicious! Everything packaged perfectly so no spill at all! Should have taken pictures before, but i was too excited to dig in!

Was in the neighborhood and not familiar with area offerings. Looked up on YELP and this diner came up with good reviews and it was just a couple blocks away. We were the only ones inside at this off hour and were seated quickly by a very pleasant server. I went with one of the days specials, the brisket , it was on the backside of the specials menu. The entree came with a choice of soup or salad. I chose the soup, beef barley. Server asked if we would like some bread and butter and returned with a nicely heated basket of bread. The soup was nicely flavored and served hot! Entree was exactly as pictured, sliced brisket served with a rich gravy, with tasty mashed potatoes and not over cooked green beans. It was as hoped it would be - delicious! I finished my plate of the tender tasty meat and ordered dessert! Bread pudding that had a nice custardy bottom, with raisins and whipped cream. It was yummy! If you are in the neighborhood stop in and enjoy great service and good tasting food!

I had a craving for Mexican food, Pearl River Diner fixed that situation for me in 15 minutes. I called in an order for their 20 taco tray to feed my family, 15 minutes later my order was ready, hot, and more delicious than I could have ever imagined. The food and service exceeded my expectation and was quite a pleasant surprise. It's been under new Management for 3 years and I'm disappointed in myself I haven't called sooner...

Ordered pickup through grub hub here today and was shocked at how fast it was! Only took about 10 minutes before my order was ready, which included a chicken avocado panini and sweet potato fries. I really enjoyed my food, and this was my first time here so I was not sure what to expect. I had seen the reviews online were pretty good, so I had to try! Was so glad I chose this for dinner tonight! If you are looking for a quick place for good food, this is definitely the place to go!! I will definitely be back!

Abdul, our bartender, remembered my name, which made us feel genuinely welcomed and valued. It's those personal touches that create a memorable dining experience. During our meal, we accidentally ordered the wrong paella. We knew it was our mistake and never intended to ask for a replacement. However, the owner overheard our conversation and immediately stepped in to make it right without hesitation. That level of hospitality and customer care is rare and speaks volumes about how they treat their guests. The attention to detail extends to the bar as well. Their Old Fashioned is made the way it should be--with a large ice block that keeps the drink cold without watering it down. As John Taffer often says, "If an Old Fashioned doesn't have a large ice block, they're not paying attention to detail." Basque clearly does. If you're looking for outstanding food, exceptional service, and a restaurant that truly cares about its customers, I highly recommend Basque. Give it a try--you won't be disappointed.

This restaurant is known for authentic Spanish small plates, generous paellas, imported Spanish ingredients, decadent desserts, and wonderful warm bread to start your culinary meal with. Abdul and Roberto make a perfect drink, whether it's a simple Espresso Martini or their house-made sangrias. . All this in a warm and friendly setting. The seafood paellas are portion perfect ie; large, the tapas favorites include garlic shrimp, octopus, croquetas, Iberico ham, lamb chops, and seasonal specials. Because the dining room is relatively small, expect a noisy environment. Weekend waits can be long because of this restaurant's popularity, but it is so worth the wait. If one arrives early, there will be no problem with sitting at the bar or nabbing a table. The staff is friendly, the clientele is neighborly, and you're guaranteed to enjoy your restaurant experience here. For Piermont, it's one of the strongest dining experiences available, particularly if one enjoys sharing plates. If you're going for the first time, I'd order the garlic shrimp, a few tapas to share, and one of the paellas for the table. Thank you Benny for bringing Piermont to our neighborhood. *For those across the river in Westchester, enjoy Basque in Tarrytown.

There's a small parking lot in the rear and a bigger lot across the street, although both can fill up when the restaurant gets busy. This place gets absolutely packed and I think it's simply because the food is good. It's not cheap -- in fact, some prices will make you do a double take (yes, olives for $16). Wine by the glass is steep too. That said, some things feel like a much better value. Our "half" pitcher of sangria basically came in a full-sized pitcher filled more than halfway and tasted great. Plenty for two. A lot of the menu is also easily shareable. We split the beet salad and it was big... enough for a couple. Fresh, flavorful and satisfying. Then we shared the paella Valenciana, another huge portion loaded with fatty chorizo, chicken, shrimp, scallops, clams and mussels in flavorful saffron rice. Really balanced ratio of seafood, meat and rice instead of just being a giant pile of filler. Btw -- it gets friggin loud in here. Families with kids, couples, groups of friends, older folks... the whole place was buzzing. Pretty wild atmosphere. It's also very casual for a place serving food at these prices -- servers walking around in jeans, energetic vibe, packed tables everywhere. Service was a little meh. Adequate, but nothing friendly. I'm also not a fan of places where the waiter clears appetizer plates but deliberately leaves the dirty fork sitting on the table for the next course. Bleh. Overall though, the food is legitimately very good. Expect a loud, busy dinner with strong portions, tasty sangria, a specials menu without prices and a 3% credit card fee added at the end.

What's one way to squeeze out the last few hours of a staycation? Margaritas and apps of course!…read more So with the Honey in tow, we landed here on Sunday evening August 16th. The way the small bar is set up, because of the wall separating it from the dining room...it gives it an intimate vibe I really like. The ambient lighting and pleasing decor sets the mood to enjoy your choice of cocktails. We asked the bartender if she could make the cucumber margarita on the menu spicy? She obliged. Those drinks weren't as spicy or refreshing as we had hoped. We stuck with the classic margaritas for next round. They were just right! I'm not sure if themed weekends are a regular occurrence here. But this night was the final night of their Mango Madness Weekend. We were served plain nachos with a mango salsa dip. The Honey devoured it. I prefer my salsa with a red sauce and a bit of a spicy kick. I decided to give the steam mussels in a sauce with mango pieces, a try. I did not know this was the combination of spicy and sweet that I needed in my life!! We ordered extra bread and sopped up every last bit of it!! We made a point to tell the bartender how much we enjoyed it! We were grateful and disappointed, when she told us we had just eaten the last of it. Dang! We would have certainly asked for another order!! We left there giddy and satisfied. I wasn't even mad that I had to go back to work the next day! I keep thinking, how can we convince them to make the Mango Mussels a permanent menu item? Meet us there and let's discuss it over margaritas! Thank me later.....

It's a very casual, cafeteria-style spot with a semi-open kitchen, but don't let the simplicity fool you -- the food is incredible and the staff here is friendly and patient. The highlight of the experience is the small buffet that features a variety of freshly-made Latin cuisine -- including pulled pork, chicken and beef stews, and other traditional Latin entrees and sides. You can build your own plate by selecting one or more entrees and sides - which are priced accordingly. As a 'gringo' who wasn't entirely sure what everything was, I really appreciated them taking the extra time to explain all the different options and give me their honest recommendations. The counterstaff is bilingual and were pretty patient with my elementary school level Spanish vocabulary and grammar. I ended up going with the pulled pork platter with two sides ($7) and it was terrific -- the perfectly seasoned and tender pork, black beans and rice, and macaroni salad were delicious and very filling. You can tell they use fresh ingredients, and the portions are very generous for the price. If you're looking for authentic, home-style Latino food in a laid-back setting, this is the spot! PRO TIP #1: Bring a bottle of wine or beer from home to enjoy with your meal. Sazon Latino is a BYOB establishment and does not serve alcohol. PRO TIP #2: Sazon Latino offers free off-street parking in a small lot behind the restaurant and there's plenty of free on-street parking on Main Street.

The food is still great. We had scallops, chorizo, brussels sprouts, and a flounder ceviche special. Everything was delicious. The ceviche in particular stood out -- fresh, well-portioned, and nicely "cooked" in lime juice. The sangria is still a highlight too. A big carafe, no ice watering it down, served with glasses full of fruit. The problem is the service. They had two servers and one bus person, and it showed. Everyone seemed to be scrambling, and it was hard to get a moment of attention to ask for anything or even be heard. Our food came out in pieces -- three items, then a long delay, then another. The last dish, calamari, never came. When I tried to tell the waiter we didn't want it anymore if it was forgotten, he didn't listen and insisted on bringing it anyway. We ended up waiting even longer, which just made the experience more frustrating. To top it off, they're now adding an operating/service fee (around 3-4%), which wasn't clearly communicated and just showed up on the bill.
