Let me tell you all I'm glad I did. I went in scoped the place out thinking get something. Try it out, yelp it. I watched the guys order these soup bowls and I looked at the menu above behind the ordering station with the cashier. They guys ordered soup dinners instead of burritos or tacos I thought, ok must be good I was thinking. It looked very authentic on the menu. I walked up and wanted to try something simple and small not a soup yet had to peak my interest with the taste buds ya know what I'm saying. So I was wanting a burrito, I asked the cashier gentleman questions what goes inside, how is it, what's it come with like sides and all. He told me asked me what meat I wanted for the burrito I was ordering, I said ground beef, he said they don't have that, closest thing would be the steak. I'm not going to lie when I heard no ground beef I was going to say cancel on my order and I was going to leave. I was upset, hearing no ground beef as an option. But I stood there with the thought get the steak option that he offered, do it. Just do it. Say it. And I did, I kept the ordering going. I ordered the steak meat especial burrito. And omg it was fantastic! I fell in love with this place. I definitely recommend this place. If you ever walk into a restaurant and are not up for taking chances, well screw that, break the boundaries take the extra step surprise yourself. You may be shocked and confused on what you have missed. You may actually find something that makes your taste buds happy. Enjoy take a leap of taste. Wink Wink

When you first come in, you're greeted with about a dozen tables that are a very intricate design, and you can tell they put a lot of money into this interior. The tables do not wobble! I went to wash my hands in the restroom and it was clean as a whistle, this must mean their kitchen is clean as well. Definitely a comforting feeling. Parking is kind of limited but you can always Park next door to the other businesses. The music is a nice Mexican accent with music that pertains according to your surroundings and menu placements. It works well and not very loud where you can't hear yourself eat.. There was one lady who was working by herself and I kind of felt sorry for her because she's doing all the running but it's not that busy enough for another person and her service was pretty much outstanding for me. Even though she misunderstood or misheard what I ordered and receive something completely different in front of me, without rolling an eye or any size she apologized profusely and took it to the back to bring me what I really ordered. That's service there and that did not ruin the moment because the attitude is the way you should have it any restaurant mistake or not. Husband ordered 3 regular chicken tacos; while I ordered 1 chicken, 1 marinated pork, & 1 tripe - all were $3 each, were in warm double soft corn tortillas, were liberally topped with diced onion & cilantro, & came with a couple of fresh lime wedges & quite a few sliced radishes. One small plastic cup of "green sauce" & one of "red sauce" were included. Unfortunately, we found these tacos disappointing. The chicken consisted of tiny little dried-up nubbins of meat that were difficult to get down, even with sauce, & my marinated pork taco was almost inedibly salty. The only possible saving grace would have been my tripe taco, which was moist & flavorful, but that one taco was all-tortilla & almost no filling. Maybe 2 tablespoons at most. Bottom Line: For around $20.00, this was a disappointment when compared to the "La Chiapaneca" food truck on the other side of town. However, we did see a couple of large overstuffed Cubano-type sandwiches & other items go by that tells me that perhaps the "regular tacos" are not their strong point. Staff were very pleasant & friendly, but like I said - you may have quite a wait because it also looked like quite a few folks had called their orders in ahead of time & were just there to pick up. Another tip - be sure to check your order before leaving, as while we were there one woman returned & complained that her order was missing an item for which she then had to endure another long wait. She was not pleased.

My husband & I have been coming here for over 12 years, we had our first date here! The food & service used to be AMAZING! This was our most favorite go to! We went last month & just last week for dinner & the food and service had really gone down! I've waited to post this review because I was hoping that it may have been an "off day" but now this is the second time! There was also plenty of parking in the parking lot. The staff was very welcoming when you come in in our server, greeted us at the table fairly quickly to grab our drinks. We asked for a server named, Camilo. He's really good and was the best at the previous location. His seating area is near the bar since he's also a bartender. The seating areas include outdoor seating, indoor seating of booths , and indoor seating of chairs. The ambiance is very chill and with the mariachis (Friday) and likely the weekend, it is very fun and lively! The prices are very reasonable and the portions are respectable. With food prices rising and restaurants taking advantage of it, it's currently a great deal (10/11/24). I ordered the fajitas Texanas which are fajitas consisting of steak, chicken, and shrimp. The fajitas include seasonings of onions, tomatoes, and sliced bell peppers. My meal is also served with rice, beans, lettuce, guacamole, sour cream, and tortillas . The other meals ordered were the burrito de pony which is a Patron Special (filled with grilled chicken, steak, shrimp, bacon, Mexican white rice, and black beans. It's topped with chipotle sauce, guacamole, and pico de gallo) and the patron quesadilla (includes grilled chicken, steak, shrimp, onions, peppers, and tomatoes. It's served with lettuce, sour cream, and guacamole.) Our dessert was the churros which includes deep-fried pastry, apple coated cinnamon sugar and chocolate, and a serving of a scoop of vanilla ice cream. Alright, this part might sound weird but the bathrooms are very clean and look very clean. Some times, there is a correlation between cleanliness in areas that are not often used and the restaurant. We don't know how the kitchen area is and how clean it is but it's ALWAYS a good sign when the bathrooms are very clean and taken care of. I feel if they care that much about the bathrooms, then even the more important things will be cleaner and taken care (i.e. kitchen area). Husband's "grilled" chicken tacos were not the grilled ones he likes, but rather the "crispy breaded" ones that he doesn't like at all. They did, however, have "everything" - i.e. lettuce, tomatoes, cilantro, & cheese, & didn't have any raw onions as he requested. No lime wedge though. My marinated pork tacos had nothing but some diced raw onions & cilantro - no lettuce, tomatoes, or cheese. I did, however get a lime wedge. Honestly - it's like the Keystone Kops took this order & processed it, & frankly this has happened in some way or other each of the three times we've been there. Don't get me wrong - the food itself is good, but the mixups & executions leave quite a bit to be desired. Bottom Line: Do give this place a try if you like decent tacos, but just be sure to check your order (which we didn't) before you leave, or have an avant-garde attitude about your tacos.
