Every time I go there they have very good food and have great service! They are alway fast and there slaps.

horrendous. first experience in wyoming absolutely RUINED. driving through, famished, sunburned, tired.... ahhh at last a costa vida! its 6 pm they close at 7...perfect! SIKE. doors are all locked. there's a line of people in the store. everyone outside is confused and hungry peeking in the restaurant. we decide to go though the drive through since we are being ignored at the door. nothing. ignored. we pull around to the window and we are ignored. we even through in a little knock on the window in case they didn't see us! there's workers glancing at us but too awkward to communicate why we're being ignored. we decide to call the store and ask why we are being ignored (i know we were being karen's but we were simply famished okay), and the very girl that had been ignoring us picked up the phone and went beta mode and told us someone would come help us take our order. a kid walks up and tells us they're closed. Waited in line for 10 minutes at the drive through behind one other car who also had to wait a significant amount of time to order. After patiently waiting, I was told they were closed for the night (8:01 PM). The bar is pretty low for Evanston and they still managed to fall short. read more

Every restaurant is allowed an off day, some other reviews on here are hopefully just that, a bad day... I had a great experience, I wasn't super hungry, so I just ordered a kids meal to share with my son. A chicken quesadilla with rice and beans, came with a drink and a cinnamon sugar tortilla hit the spot! The watermelon limeade drink I tried was excellent and I loved it! The line was pretty long when we arrived, but the workers worked through the customers at a decent pace. We enjoyed our little snack in the clean restaurant and would be happy to stop by another day. read more

This place is ridiculous. The prices are absolutely INSANE!!! 2 burritos with drinks and a piece of key lime pie was a over $60. Then I was served attitude as the snarky female a cashier replied "congratulations that's the smallest tip of the day". Sorry, but why is the customer expected to tip someone when they only handed me food that was pre-ordered? It seemed pretty neat & tidy inside and the air conditioner felt good. As my food was handed to me, I asked for a few packs of hot sauce. The same snarky cashier said, "only people who tip more than $5 get free hot sauce from me". It was unknown to me that Costa Vida now charges for hot sauce, they've never done this to me before. I thought she was joking so I forced a giggle. . .until she rang me up $1.99 FOR HOT SAUCE!!!!!! So it was over $6 for 3 sauces which I did not take. I asked them to completely fill the container if I'm paying $1.99 and the female cashier informed me that's it's one ladle per container. I told her to keep the sauce and I left the store. That cashiers needs immediate retraining on how to properly and politely treat customers. Demanding tips then complaining about free money is wild when it was a pre order. I shouldn't spend more for 2 burritos than I do for hibachi and I don't think that paying customers should be charged for dang hot sauce. Never ever ever ever again, Costa Vida. read more

To be honest, I love the food. But the community is what really makes this place great, expecially Macie. Every time I go in she has the biggest smile on her face and is incredibly helpful and nice. What a wonderful worker and a very well earned employee of the month plaque. read more

I love the vibes some employees give especially amparo and Carlos always somehow have a smile and greet people even if the line does not stop great customer service can work on cleaning lobby more but other than that it's a great stop . read more

The service was terrible. Put very little queso on the nachos then said they ran out. Then we asked for mild salsa for y 2 year old daughter but she tried it and said it was hot. I tried it and it was pretty spicy especially for a 2 year old to eat. Went to the counter to ask for mild salsa and said what they gave me was mild. It was not. We kept asking for mild because we saw more salsa at the bar but then gave us pico. Employee was very rude and laughed when we told him salsa was too spicy for my 2 year old daughter. We found this to be a pleasant surprise at our first visit. In many ways this reminds me about Cafe Rio but with some great additions to the menu, i enjoyed the fresh made tortillas and my tacos were great, the Mango salsa was awesome! read more

Food was ok.. ordered online. Husband picked it up and they said part of the order was not available. He got home, I called to see why I was charged for the full meal . The girl sounded clueless and she kept asking her manager Umparo who is the manager and I was told it's a complete process and they have to go through the corporate office and fill out a request. All for a refund ? The refund I should get in a week. **update, over 2 weeks later and no refund and I called again and no one can help apparently. The manager gave me the general managers phone number who I called and could not leave a voicemail for because his voicemail is full? The manager said they are not given corporates phone number? I usually can't finish a salad and I ate the whole thing and was still hungry not too long after. Everyone else in our group said theirs were smaller as well. This location is awful. If you order online and pickup you'll be ignored. I finally flagged one kid down from the assembly line and tried to tell him i was picking up my order. Poor guy barely spoke English and i had to tell him my name 4 times. Finally he finds my order and takes 5 more minutes to bag it. I tried to ask for silverware but he just shook his head. One day I shall learn that Fast Food in Evanston just isn't that great. Nice little location, sweet little drive thru, and very convenient to the freeway and fuel stops. That's where the magic ends. Ordered the steak quesadilla. Two small pieces of steak in my cheese quesadilla. Maybe 1 square inch combined. Glad I paid extra for that. Asked if they had "fresh brewed iced tea." We were visiting SLC and decided the 1 hour trip to Wyoming was worth it to check another state off of our list. :) It was late so we wanted something quick and easy and this fit the bill. This has a similar vibe to Chipotle and Cafe Rio. It was nothing special, but it wasn't bad either. We got a bowl, taco, quesadilla, and nachos. All were just as you'd expect them to be. They do have a drive through which is really nice. But I like to see how my food is made. So I preferred going in. If your looking for a quick ameri-mex meal this is a good option! read more

Whenever I go here its always so loud and busy, and some times the workers don't pay attention to you when your standing in the line, sometimes you will be waiting for you food for 20+ minutes and its just overall not the best food its mediocre at best, the music in the store is ok but its still rather loud regardless, and I do not do well in loud settings, I may come back in the near future but right now I am Unsure if I will come back within the next few months. read more

The board with prices is misleading. It seems like meat prices are part of the costs listed for meals. (How often do folks buy a meal from Costa Vida without meat?) But they aren't. Also, the meals I at least bought weren't sizable and the rice at least in mine was physically hard because it was stale. read more

We think it was a rough night.... it was a Friday night and they were out of sweet pork, queso, utensils, all the lemonades, and the garbages were over flowing so much that there was no place to put our garbage. This would kind of make sense if the store was busy, but the store was not busy and the employees were standing around talking with eachother. We had to wait for them to warm up more sweet pork and queso, the queso that they brought to us still had big chunks of unmelted cheese in it. We have eaten at this exact location before and it's been fine, but unfortunately tonight was a disappointment. read more

Costa Vida is always a hit or a miss for me. Some days it's fantastic and hits the spot, but sometimes it's just a little bland. This particular location is always bustling though. I'm still not sure if it's the quality of the food or the fact that's it's such a new and nice breath of fresh air in comparison to the ancient restaurants surrounding it. I'm actually figuring out that I'm allergic to a few foods (BOO I KNOW) so I got in line and rehearsed my order so the employee behind the counter wouldn't spit in my food due to the complicated order brewing in my mind. I ordered a "small chicken salad, with a whole wheat tortilla on the side, black beans in a to go container and drained REALLY well, lots of lettuce, no pico, cheese, or guacamole, and throw some limes in there would ya?" I anxiously awaited his response, preparing myself for a verbal lashing, but he totally rocked it and was as happy and friendly as ever! He could have easily rolled his eyes and grudgingly made my food, but he made it perfectly and it exceeded my expectations. The food is just average, but I think it tasted better today because of the great experience I had with a member of the staff. Bravo, young man. The restaurant was clean and the bathrooms were too. The soda machine could use a little attending to (but we as humans should know better than to dump all of our ice chucks into the grate and cause overflowage). TIPS & TRICKS: * Download the app and start getting some points every time you eat there. * Don't ever throw away your receipt before checking if there is a survey! Ordered for pickup as we were passing by on the highway. While they have a drive through this allowed us to know our order would be ready when we arrived. I had the pulled pork burrito and it was a good size and tasted great. Saved half for the next day. The chips with avocado provided a good amount of avocado. I have worked in customer service before and these people locked the doors 20 minutes early, when I looked in the window the employees were laughing on their phones and they only let me in because I had an online order and they didn't let the other lady behind me in.
