There's a reason i never come here and i should've listened to my gut. Firstly, my sister in law found a wire in her bowl from a wire sponge which are ILLEGAL to use in food service (specifically for this reason), there was a hair in my broccoli beef. There was no flavor, everything was bland or tasted the same. Definitely not worth the $44 i paid.

Best Chinese food in town... tasty and flavorful. They have other options other than what's out on the steam table, their cook to order menu options consist of chicken, beef, shrimp & tofu choices that comes in a large a la cart and combo plate. My favorite is their wonton soup and shrimp fried rice... even on a hot day you will crave that soup haha The place is small so it's not for larger groups but they have a little space for dine in. It's giving mom & pop vibes! Great customer service, always friendly & welcoming. Definitely recommend to try this place If you're ever in the area.

Don't confuse this Panda Bowl restaurant with the other Panda ????? restaurant - they aren't the same. This is much smaller place in the shopping center anchored by McDonalds on Lugonia towards Greenspot. On this evening, November 2021, they don't have inside dining. Also they charge an extra $.69 for credit and debit charges (this is stated at the cash register). Their entre options are limited. Also the separate kitchen had a difficult time keeping up the orders, there were many customers waiting. As you can see in the pics, our bowls looked good. The Orange Chicken had as much quantity as could be placed in our bowl. We had mixed vegetables instead of rice for both bowls. The mixed veggies were over-cooked and soggy. There was a fair amount of residual water in the bottom of both bowls. The orange glaze lacked flavor, but was mildly sweet. There were big pieces of chicken which was tender, but didn't have very much flavor. Just as the chicken pieces were big, so was the amount of coating. The coating was spongy. The other bowl was the Mushroom Chicken. While there was plenty of mushrooms, there wasn't very much flavor to them or the chicken.

Cream cheese wontons, veggie egg rolls, candied sweet and sour sauce, fried rice, and chow mein.

The flavor was good and I enjoyed them, but unfortunately they were missing one of my favorite parts of xiao long bao. The soup. There was very little to no broth inside. The braised beef noodle soup was easily my favorite dish. The broth was flavorful, the beef was tender, and it came out at the perfect temperature. My only complaint was the noodles themselves. They were pretty tangled and clumped together, almost like they had been sitting refrigerated before being added to the broth. Once separated, though, I really enjoyed the dish. We also ordered the sliced beef with hot peppers. The beef had good flavor, but I thought the sauce was a little too dry for my preference. And when they say hot peppers, they mean it, there were A LOT of jalapeños. There was also a small wait between receiving the noodle soup and the rest of our entrées, so the timing could have been a little better. The restaurant itself has a nice atmosphere, plenty of space, and is conveniently located near Downtown Redlands. Overall, I'm glad to see a place serving good Shanghai style Chinese food in an area where there aren't a ton of options like this. Definitely a place I'd come back to and try more of the menu. 7/10

We ordered several different dishes: Honey walnut shrimp, lemon chicken, Mongolian beef, and house chow fun with chicken. The honey walnut shrimp was crispy and juicy, the prawns used were large and the nuts added to the dish were a nice touch, Mongolian beef was also flavorful and well made, and the chow fun dish reminded me of Pad See Yew in its use of wide flat noodles but the Chow Fun had a nice smoky flavor, wasn't spicy, and the beef was tender. As you enter the restaurant the ambiance is warm and inviting. The staff that took my order was knowledgeable and patient as I perused the menu. I would come back to this place with family and friends.

We ordered the garlic chicken combo, General Tso tofu, and vegetable fried rice. The combo came with a side of soup and an egg roll and rice. We picked hot and sour soup, vegetable egg roll, and fried rice for the options. I was most impressed with the fried rice. It was hot and steamy and fresh. It was not oily or greasy at all. All of the vegetables tasted good. Nothing was soggy or overcooked. The char flavor from the wok came through incredibly. I've paid a lot more for fried rice that's not even 1/10 as good as this. Was very excited to see that wood ear mushrooms were used for the hot and sour soup. This is really hard to find. You can tell they don't just use a powder mix - the egg and tofu were also very silky and not hard or overcooked. The garlic chicken was definitely also a surprise. It actually tasted like garlic and chicken! They didn't just use a whole bunch of jar garlic. I actually did not see any pieces of jar garlic at all, which was great! But the garlic flavor was absolutely delicious and very prominent. I did not get a picture of the general tso's tofu, but it was excellent; crispy on the outside and silky on the inside. Paired perfectly with steamed rice. It's really hard to find a place that does tofu well. I will definitely go out of my way to come back here again. We had no issues or problems with the service. It was exactly as it should be. They took our order, brought our food and then let us pay when we were done. It was perfect for me. No interruptions to our conversation. The food was very hot and fresh. You could hear them cooking it right away as the waiter called out the order to the line. Nothing came from a steam pan or was reheated in the microwave, it was made to order. Everything was fresh and stayed very hot.

And OMB is more vegetarian friendly. This isn't a Chinese restaurant with a thousand dishes ranging in quality. This is curated collection of classics done right: Cantonese dim sum, Shanghainese soup dumplings, and popular Chinese comfort foods. All the dumplings are made fresh. I see some reviewers suggesting they've had better elsewhere, but those elsewheres are over an hour away. I know those places and they're not worth the drive or the higher prices. There's a reason new locations of this restaurant are opening up left and right in the IE. Yucaipa just got one and they're opening another in Palm Springs in an impressive 'in the middle of everything' location. The only shortcoming of this location is it's a tad too informal for my taste. Like it's more a well lit room than a cozy area you might lounge in. However, that shortcoming is rather common in the IE where I wonder if a place looks a little posh the customers turn and run. The staff is great, the service prompt (even when busy), the boba drinks are delightful -- what's not to love? I'm certain that almost anyone who comes here will likely return. I just went yesterday and a rainbow appeared above ONE MORE BITE DUMPLING. Exactly how I feel about this place.

I've grown up in the area and have branched out to living all over california. However the sense of entitlement the locals here have is insane. China Town Fast Food has delivered good tasting AND affordable Chinese-American food for quite some time! The portions are the best bang for your buck in the Loma Linda area, and the staff is also very nice. There are language barriers to some extent and a plastic wall that could make it hard to hear for both the customer and the server, but pointing fingers at the food and putting extra emphasis on enunciating my words have always helped, and if they can't hear, both the customer and the server can go to the side to hear each other clearly. The place is also small and can easily get packed during the rush hour. There are usually only TWO people in the front and a cook in the back, so I believe it's very key to have patience for when you go out during these hours. In all forms of service whether it be food, retail, etc. please remember that they are still human and working at a pace that tries to accommodate for us. In hours closer to closing, it does slow down and it does get quieter, I believe those are the best times to go when it's not so busy. Food wise, I'd highly recommend getting their Orange Chicken and House Special Fried Chicken. The orange chicken has a nice bit of sweetness, tangyness, and crunch to each bite and the House Special is just that... it's SPECIAL! Freshly fried chicken, usually about a 10-15 minute wait. Paired with a side of a garlicky, green oniony, shoyu sauce helps create just the perfect bite when combined with some rice. Their teriyaki chicken is also very delicious with a beautiful char on the outside. It's not your typical, Seattle, Japanese-esque teriyaki chicken, but it will taste very good! I hope this review helps with all the negative feedback I'm seeing and introduces you all to a classic spot to check out. Enjoy the food and have a great day!
