I rate this restaurant 4 out of 5, reason is due to customer service they would of got all 5. I came to place an order to go, I was rewarding my team and found this place online apparently they are on top of the list for Chinese food in the area of Redlands, I work near by. Food was fresh! Temperatures of everything was perfect, tasty and the egg rolls were delicious. They had a full house, they open at 11 and it 11:30 so that tells you it definitely has its regulars. Great lunch specials. Ambiance was busy chinese restaurant style, decore as you walk in and throughout the restaurant. I would come back! The only thing is I recommend the two older ladies in the front acknowledge customers as they walk in, not when your ready to take their order, may be challenging with everything going on at once but I challenge you to multi task , take a min. To say hello, welcome , we'll be right with you... and you know what for all I know you were having off day. The ladies seemed polite once engaging but totally ignored me for at least 5 minutes which felt forever. I cant wait to try other items.

I had this restaurant saved on my yelp bookmarks for a while. Driving by, and decided to check it out. They have quite a large Vegan menu, with most of the popular dishes made vegan. I ordered take out and my favorite dish, vegan chikin curry, so I could compare with my two other vegetarian restaurants Happy Family vegetarian and Loving Hut. The restaurant was busy for lunch time, service seemed quick. Bathroom was clean with a nice perfumed aroma, the restaurant was very clean with simple decorations. When I got home, the food was still hot and quite flavorful with a nice assortments of vegetables. A little more expensive than my favorite restaurants and not quite as good. Overall, nice restaurant and the food was quite good.

Excellent vegan/vegetarian option in Redlands. Been here twice now and it is usually empty. Please support this business so it flourishes. Ambiance is quiet and good amount of seating is available. Is Vegan Orange Chicken was my favorite. Great flavor and sweetness. A good amount of parking and didn't have to wait for a table for a late sunday lunch. Food - Combination Lo Mein. Good! honestly I've never been blown away by lo mein but it still hit the spot. Service - Server was super nice and bit talkative. Didn't have to wait much for the food either which was nice. I'd definitely come back with friends to try more food

We started with Spicy Wonton and shared the Mongolian Beef and Combination Chow Fun. The food is so fresh and we had incredible service.

Honestly I didn't have the greatest experience this time around. I'm not even sure what happened cause I've been here a few times and I had no issues and the food was amazing. Our group had a few vegetarian and chicken dishes that came out great and they were really good. Now that the food is good, why give the 2 stars? It's because I never got my food. I had ordered the jjajangmyeon and the popcorn chicken and never received it. The restaurant wasn't very busy the time we went and my entire party received their food except for me. I then watched everyone else at the restaurant get their food. And some got the exact dish I ordered and they came after me. What made me upset is that the waitress kept telling me my food was coming soon. I was told this about 3-4 times. And after 45 minutes I had to tell them to cancel. They tried to convince me not to cancel cause the food was coming out soon but my entire party had finished eating already. I was already hangry and I didn't want to hear the excuses. I got a wack apology. Like if you as the wait staff notice that the entire restaurant was getting their food except for the one person you kept telling over and over that their food was coming, wouldn't you check on the kitchen to expedite the order? The excuse they gave was that they only had one wok or something like that. Whatever the excuse was, it was a poor excuse. It was such a shame because usually I have a great experience here but that night was not the night.

We met up with an old resident friend today. He suggested JW China Wok as we both haven't been and heard good things. It was time to devour!!! The interior was nice and clean with interesting, aquarium decor. The waiter was a bit eager and trying to ask how we know about Korean cuisine. Supposedly, a lot of Koreans frequent there and they added Korean items (such as jjajangmyeon and jjampong) to accommodate. I will say that the noodle itself wasn't always the correct type. For example, the Singaporean curry rice noodles were not the thin, typical rice noodles (possibly vermicelli?). The traditional jjajangmyeon is served with thick noodles and not thin. BUT the flavors definitely shined. The jjajangmyeon sauce was deeply delectable. The curry flavor of the Singaporean noodles was enriched in laska flavor but also not the typical spice level. The waiter did mention that in the future, it is possible to ask for the lo mien with the jjajangmyeon so will try that next time. JW China Wok is a great addition to Redlands. We may visit more often to satisfy the jjajangmyeon cravings.

Food: i always pass by this restaurant, but never thought to actually try it until my husband finally decided to give it a go! The food here is simply amazingggg. We got to try out a variety of dishes including eggplant tofu, salt and pepper fish, and black bean noodles, and all of them delivered above and beyond. I was pleasantly surprised that they had the black bean noodles since it's mostly a korean chinese dish. The fried food was crunchy and warm, the sauce was perfection! Highly recommend all the things we got. Price: reasonably priced, not too expensive for the amount and the quality of food that you actually get here! The fish was $18 and the eggplant tofu was about $14. Ambiance: seemed like it was a family owned business with chinese speaking owner and server. Small and cozy with about 7-10 ish tables inside, great for family get together and casual hangouts Service: the Chinese server taking our orders and serving us food was very very nice and made cute small talk. He even attempted to greet me in korean, which was excellent haha Parking: there is a small lot associated with the plaza that contains the restaurant, in the front end on the side. There is usually at least several parking spots available at a given time

This is an unexpected surprise in Redlands. We literally did a U-turn while driving when my fiancé told me their food options. We ordered the salt and pepper fish filet which was just crispy and seasoned to perfection. Nothing beats a good fried dish like salt and pepper fish. Beef black bean noodle is comfort food. In Korea, in China, and now here in Redlands. Mix it all and enjoy a messy, yummy black bean noodle. Finally, the Eggplant tofu was a nice steaming hot vegetable to add. The sauce was impeccable and each bite burned your insides, so maybe wait a little before taking a bite. But when you do, the eggplant and tofu are gonna explode with flavor. Everything was a savory feast and phew, I think I'm gonna be back here very soon!

    Kevin G.

The food here was amazing ! The orange chicken was delicious & packed with flavor. The meat was nice & soft with some crunch to it as well, the rice was absolutely soft & flavorful. The chili paste was definitely a good heat add-on. The staff were so sweet & made sure we were taken care of. The food didn't take long to come out & it all tasted hot & fresh ! Check this place out for some good food !

The flavor was good and I enjoyed them, but unfortunately they were missing one of my favorite parts of xiao long bao. The soup. There was very little to no broth inside. The braised beef noodle soup was easily my favorite dish. The broth was flavorful, the beef was tender, and it came out at the perfect temperature. My only complaint was the noodles themselves. They were pretty tangled and clumped together, almost like they had been sitting refrigerated before being added to the broth. Once separated, though, I really enjoyed the dish. We also ordered the sliced beef with hot peppers. The beef had good flavor, but I thought the sauce was a little too dry for my preference. And when they say hot peppers, they mean it, there were A LOT of jalapeños. There was also a small wait between receiving the noodle soup and the rest of our entrées, so the timing could have been a little better. The restaurant itself has a nice atmosphere, plenty of space, and is conveniently located near Downtown Redlands. Overall, I'm glad to see a place serving good Shanghai style Chinese food in an area where there aren't a ton of options like this. Definitely a place I'd come back to and try more of the menu. 7/10

We ordered the garlic chicken combo, General Tso tofu, and vegetable fried rice. The combo came with a side of soup and an egg roll and rice. We picked hot and sour soup, vegetable egg roll, and fried rice for the options. I was most impressed with the fried rice. It was hot and steamy and fresh. It was not oily or greasy at all. All of the vegetables tasted good. Nothing was soggy or overcooked. The char flavor from the wok came through incredibly. I've paid a lot more for fried rice that's not even 1/10 as good as this. Was very excited to see that wood ear mushrooms were used for the hot and sour soup. This is really hard to find. You can tell they don't just use a powder mix - the egg and tofu were also very silky and not hard or overcooked. The garlic chicken was definitely also a surprise. It actually tasted like garlic and chicken! They didn't just use a whole bunch of jar garlic. I actually did not see any pieces of jar garlic at all, which was great! But the garlic flavor was absolutely delicious and very prominent. I did not get a picture of the general tso's tofu, but it was excellent; crispy on the outside and silky on the inside. Paired perfectly with steamed rice. It's really hard to find a place that does tofu well. I will definitely go out of my way to come back here again. We had no issues or problems with the service. It was exactly as it should be. They took our order, brought our food and then let us pay when we were done. It was perfect for me. No interruptions to our conversation. The food was very hot and fresh. You could hear them cooking it right away as the waiter called out the order to the line. I see some reviewers suggesting they've had better elsewhere, but those elsewheres are over an hour away. I know those places and they're not worth the drive or the higher prices. There's a reason new locations of this restaurant are opening up left and right in the IE. Yucaipa just got one and they're opening another in Palm Springs in an impressive 'in the middle of everything' location. The only shortcoming of this location is it's a tad too informal for my taste. Like it's more a well lit room than a cozy area you might lounge in. However, that shortcoming is rather common in the IE where I wonder if a place looks a little posh the customers turn and run. The staff is great, the service prompt (even when busy), the boba drinks are delightful -- what's not to love? I'm certain that almost anyone who comes here will likely return. We are so taken a back by the amazing service and attention we received with our little boy and never once did we feel like we were bothering or being a nuisance. Everyone enjoyed his presence and went above and beyond to make our experience even better. Thank you so much to the staff!

My girlfriend and I got the Laab Street Wraps, the Banana Island alcoholic slushie, and the 3-shot flight with Blood Moon, Ting Tong, and Green Dragon. Everything was The Laab Street Wraps were hands down the BEST laab I have ever had. I'm Thai, so I've had my fair share of laab, and this seriously blew me away. The flavor was on point, the seasoning was perfect, and every bite had me wanting more. Absolutely phenomenal. The Banana Island was also ridiculously good--super refreshing and dangerously easy to drink . For the shot flight, Blood Moon was my personal favorite, while my girlfriend loved Ting Tong. Green Dragon was also a great one to round out the flight. And I have to give a huge shoutout to the owner, who was incredibly nice and welcoming. You can tell this place is run with genuine passion and love for Thai food and the experience they're creating. Honestly, I can't recommend this place enough. Amazing food, creative drinks, great atmosphere, and even better people. Aroi Mak Mak is officially one of those places we'll be coming back to again and again. If you're even THINKING about coming here, just go. You will not regret it.

Me, it's a great bargain for Japanese food. One plate of the Japanese items exceeds the price of the lunch. (Being seniors, we take $1 off the $18.99 lunch price). Have a mix of chinese and "American" food, one of those on-demand grills, plenty of choices. Of course unlimited drinks but I only get water since I don't want to fill up on drinks. Plenty of seating, clean, the staff clear out used plates quickly. Keep the dishes re-stocked quickly. See the pics for all the food offered. Prices in pics...dinner is more expensive and weekends are the most expensive. If you're hungry and love Japanese food, don't miss this place! (And for those who may doubt the quality of the Japanese food, my partner is a picky Japanese eater and she gives the sushi here 2 thumbs up.)

Buffet Star didn't exactly sound like a five-star life choice (and Yelp's 3 stars tried to hinder me from eating here), but plot twist..... it was way better than expected!!!!! The sushi made my husband and son happy little sea creatures, the Mongolian grill slapped, and the chicken wings were jumbo sized and fire!! But the real MVP? Chicken pot stickers!!!!! I've never seen chicken pot stickers at a buffet (bc they're 99% always pork pot stickers). Fried rice, noodles, seafood galore..... basically, carbs and ocean things everywhere!!! Food was fresh, they kept replenishing the food due to the amount of traffic flowing through. The place is laid out like they tried to seat half the city in one room (could easily seat about 250 people), but hey, at least the food makes up for the chaos!!!! Service was on point... plates vanished like magic, drinks stayed topped off, and there was plenty of parking. BTW, you pay first before getting seated (pretty bold move) Overall, dinner was a win tonight, would happily return to undo another workout when we're back in the area!!!
