One of my favorite Thai restaurants in the area. Their drinks are modern and fresh and food is delectable. I appreciate the thoughtfulness that goes behind each dish, highly recommend!

Aroi Mak Mak is my favorite Thai place in the IE! I always get the Pad See Ew & mango sticky rice. I've always had good luck with getting a table or finding room to sit at the bar. Amazing place to sit and catch up with a friend or grab food to go!

First time at Aroi Mak Mak and WOW! I was honestly blown away by the flavors and the atmosphere. From the moment we walked in, Kop and the entire team made us feel so welcomed. This place is just different in the most positive way. I've had Thai food before at regular sit-down spots with little to no vibe, but the atmosphere here truly elevates the whole experience. It creates the perfect setting for the food. The Pad Thai, crab fried rice, chicken wings, and the Ka Pow were all incredible, but the sauces... seriously, the sauces deserve their own shout-out! Every dish just hit perfectly. The drinks were amazing too, the Kinnari was fruity, tasty, and just perfect. Overall, a solid 10/10. I'll definitely be coming back

Yo that Curry noodle was out of the world delicious, and every flavor for it well with each other. Great place to hangout for the night and worth every cent.

This. Place. Rocks. So. Super. Hard. The KHAO SOI (CURRY NOODLES)(V) OH MY GOR was so incredible and WOW the pickled veggies in it were truly so scrumptious! Easy parking, beautiful downtown, great company. One million metal tins of lime out of one million

Only the best Thai street food in town!

There are restaurants you eat at... and then there's Aroi Mak Mak...a flavor pilgrimage. It's Thai street food wrapped up in vintage wallpaper, vinyl wrapped tables and Thai amazingness. My hubby and I go for our date nights, family meetups, pre-partying, or random bar hangs -- this is OUR spot! Pro Tip: Call dibs on the tuk-tuk table -- under those neon lights, it feels like Bangkok meets Redlands. Let's talk food because HOLY SHMAOW. The Deep Fried Mushrooms? Life-changing. Crispy, golden, and soooooo addictive -- we order them EVERYSINGLETIME. The Garlic Fried Fish (Pla Tub Tim Rad Kratiam) is seriously the BEST FRIED FISH in town -- a fried branzino with a tangy sauce and some garlic magic crack. The Thai Omelette (Kai Jiao), Chicken Wings, and Larb Street Wraps all bring that same OMG flavor. And the drinks -- oh my god OMG, OMGGG, the drinks. Just go ahead and order them all...thank me later. The Tom Kha Tonic has officially become my favorite thing to sip while scarfing down spicy food, and the Bing Bao Juice? Pure tropical happiness in a glass. But the real mic drop comes at dessert: the Coconut Pandan Custard -- subtle, coconut-y, and completely transcendent. Make sure you ask your server about these at the start of your meal since they run out quickly!

Absolutely delicious food!!!! The service is great and the inside is so cute! The red curry definitely top notch so so so good! Papaya salad is a great starter!!!! I highly recommend stopping in and trying it if you're in the area!!!

Left drunken noodles, top center ginger stir fry and right crab fried rice.

5/23/26 8:30pm Super cute place and vibe with live music. There was about an hour wait so my husband and I sat at the bar. We tried the trio shots and Leo beers. The shots were unique and tasty but we couldn't finish the one with the whip on top. Too pungent for our palate. We ordered the cucumber salad 10/10, drunken noodles 5/10, steak ginger stir fry 7/10 and crab fried rice added steak 10/10. Would go back for the cucumber salad but maybe ask for less spicy cause I was sweating!! And the crab fried rice cause it was super good. Bartender was super sweet, thorough and helpful. Bummed I didn't get her name. She wore glasses and dark hair.

Trendy Redlands Thai Spot! The vibe and service here are exceptional, the servers were all very sweet and the decorations and lighting all just fit very cute. Drinks were strong but tasted diverse and refreshing. Food was in the middle. My dish was the drunken noodle I believe with pork and it was exceptional, perfectly spicy and all ingredients cooked perfectly. My friend's dish was very mid, I cannot remember the name but the chicken was very bland it kinda just threw the whole meal off. Overall a great spot though and I see myself coming back for sure (:

I was actually looking for ramen in the area and stumbled upon this place . When I walked in I was immediately hit with a ton of delicious smells . It was quite busy when me and my boyfriend arrived however we got sat away pretty quickly . We ordered the egg rolls and the paw see and the food came out fairly quickly . The dipping for the egg rolls was good and it dindt taste like your traditional sweet and sour sauce . The pad see eww was really good as well and it had a ton of flavor . The service was good as well the server made sure to keep checking out us . I can see why this place is a local favorite . I can't wait to come back and try the Thai fried chicken.

This is always a great spot to go to. I loveeeee their curry noodles with the pork belly. Perfection. It's always a great chill vibe and the staff is always nice.

The cocktails and food were great! Honestly, I don't know the name of the cocktail as the bartender just made it for me. It was tart/seeet and smooth. I also had the lettuce wraps and peanut noodles with steak, both were really good. We sat at the bar as the other tables were full and the service was great! Will definitely be back here again!

Remarkable, Delicious, and full of flavor! This is one of the best spots I have tried in the IE when it comes to Thai food. We had -Red Curry -Fried Chicken - Drunken Noodles with Pork Belly Medium Spice Everything was made to order and genuinely amazing! You cannot go wrong with any item on the menu. The service was great too! We arrived during a busy time and around 4 different workers checked in on us and provided us with amazing service! 10/10 It is pretty ample but does fill up quick. Beautiful shop that gives the ultimate experience and the atmosphere is very lax and aesthetically pleasing!

I totally recommend ordering the adult lunchable special because it's a good snack starter and the best deal for your buck. It's the kind of place that feels made for a TikTok moment, with every corner serving up aesthetic and attitude. Cocktails are the real stars here--sweet, bold, and crafted to impress. They've got a slick system too, with some classics like Old Fashioneds pre-batched and chilled, so your drink hits your hand almost instantly (and somehow still tastes on point). Their wine selection is solid if you're feeling a little more refined, while the beer is just okay. All in all, it's less about the beer and more about the vibe--electric, a little mysterious, and definitely a good time.

So I normally dislike reviews that take one experience and apply it to all possible experiences…read more Do you know what I mean? If someone felt they were treated rudely by a waitress, that doesn't mean everyone that walks in will be treated the same way by that or any member of the staff. Yet here I am writing one of those reviews, because the complete lack of management was appalling. And I had no real interpersonal issue with anybody, so what happened to me could happen to you. We invited a neighbor out to the fun new place in town called THE OVERLAND -- that we'd been dying to try. We tried to get reservations early Friday because it was a Friday night. But their website appeared broken. When you clicked MAKE RESERVATIONS, nothing happened. We even called but got no call backs. We show up at 6PM and get THE BIG SIGH. "Yeah, umm... SIGH... we're having a big party on the patio and our reservations are booked for the night... SIGH." I'm highlighting the SIGHS because the staff isn't supposed to SIGH at us at how hectic their life is. It's OUR place to SIGH at the staff for failing to properly warn us the place was already booked for the night. So they sit us at a long high top where you're kind of sharing your table with 12 other people. Luckily a sweet patron volunteered to move so that we could sit across from our neighbor and create the illusion of an actual table. Soon the attentive staff did show up to take a drink order, but with a SIGH and a grimace our wait person then broke the news that because of the large party out on the patio -- there would be no food for at least an hour. We should have been told that at the door, right? As to not raise a fuss we ordered drinks and they were pretty good. The music was nice. The thing is -- -- restaurants that have an artsy fancy hipster "vibe" twist pride themselves on not being chain restaurants. I celebrate that and I get that. But with this territory often comes this odd feeling that they have no clue how to run a restaurant. "We're trying our best" with a SIGH doesn't cut it after being in business more than a few months. All 'soft openings' must come to end, people. Some Pro Tips -- 1. If your website cannot take any additional reservations, it should indicate as much. To us, it simply appeared broken. You've been open for three years and this isn't fixed YET? 2. At the door, we needed to be told there's a big function and it might be better to come back another night. Or, even more professional -- 3. -- either close the entire restaurant for a 'Private Function' or 4. -- have additional kitchen staff ready to handle both the restaurant AND the large party. Sorry folks, but you made one lousy first impression. I'm at a loss to understand why there should be a second.

We seated ourselves at our favorite raised table in the corner on the far side of the bar. My husband and I stuck to traditional cocktails, and old fashioned and a Negroni. Our friends chose signature cocktails: the Turbo Granny and the Electric Feel. Now the Electric Feel was not just a drink, it was an experience. Our server explained to our friend that he should sip a little of the drink, then chew the Szechuan buzz bud for about 15 seconds, letting it coat his whole tongue, then enjoy the rest of the drink which would taste different afterwards. Our friend went through all those steps and said it was incredible, like all the flavors were enhanced along with different sensations in his mouth, kind of numb and tingly. His wife was not satisfied with his description of the experience, so she bought a Szechuan buzz bud for $2 and she said it was kind of like pop rocks. These buzz bud looks just like a little flower bud like the end of a dandelion once the seeds are blown away. It comes from a plant. Totally fascinating! We decided on weekend brunch, especially since there were endless mimosas. Our kids have a recollection of being down the class umbrella alleyway, so they were amazed when they saw it. A short while later, we were in front of the restaurant and were quickly seated by the staff. They didn't ask if we preferred outdoor or indoor seating, but we were seated inside right next to the kitchen. We heard that indoor seating was better for service anyway. The interior of the restaurant was "very fancy," and my daughter thought we were in a date spot. We knew we wanted French fries and opted for the garlic Parmesan fries. At first, the kids were weirded out by the arugula, but my daughter ended up enjoying it, noting the bitter and salty notes. My son devoured the entire plate (not the arugula) and asked for another round. We also ordered the lemon ricotta French toast, made from Brioche bread, lemon blackberry butter, whipped lemon ricotta cream, blackberries, mint, and maple syrup. They perfected the crispy exterior, which contrasted well with the fluffy bread. My wife ordered the breakfast pizza--a focaccia pizza topped with marinara, ham, spinach, fresh tomato, red onion, a sunny-side-up egg, and herb-infused maple syrup. This was really delicious with the tart, fresh tomatoes, the salty ham, and the sweet maple syrup. I ended up eating the sunny-side egg by itself, so we didn't get to try the pizza with the egg. Lastly, I ordered the steak and eggs, but it was sadly a small portion. I ordered it medium rare, and it came out medium. The seasoning was a bit strange and would have been better with simple salt, pepper, and garlic. The mimomas really made my wife happy. She started feeling it pretty quickly. She chose the pineapple juice while I got the traditional orange. Not sure if the alcohol made the food better or the other way around. I was brought to reality when I saw the expensive bill, though.

Unfortunately, the experience didn't live up to the hype. Service was the main issue. The bartenders seemed inexperienced, and our server wasn't familiar with the drinks, often needing to check with someone else. It took about 20 minutes to receive our first round. Our reservation was at 10:30, we were seated until 10:40, and the place closes at midnight so timing already felt tight. Because of the wait, we asked to order two drinks at once for the next round, but were told it's limited to one at a time. That would be understandable if service were faster, but it took another 20 minutes to get the second drink. We were also told drinks from the regular menu take longer, so I tried one from the specialty menu...still a 20-minute wait. It was a frustrating experience. That said, the space itself is smaller and more intimate, which could make it a nice date spot. I do think this place has potential, and I'd consider giving it another chance, hopefully with smoother service next time. Oh Beignets were amazing!! Yummy little donuts!

For a Saturday at 4:30pm, we were seated and waited on immediately. The menu was expansive and I was surprised with the amount of vegetarian options for a Chinese restaurant. Some notable dishes were the sizzling beef with black pepper, beef scallion rolls, honey walnut chicken, mapo tofu, and fried chicken. The dishes that could be improved for flavor were the vegetarian steamed dumplings, steamed whole fish, and beef chow fun. We probably ordered around 8-10 plates (all dishes came with rice) and many arrived at the same time. The prices were very reasonable for the portions and it was just enough for everyone. Since we had a birthday celebrant, they were able to put our personal cake in the fridge. Our server provided a complimentary matcha cheesecake and candle towards the end of our meal. When we were eventually seated at the requested table, she placed the menus down abruptly and did not hand one to me directly, instead leaving it at the end of the table. The interaction came across as unnecessarily rude and, frankly, not in line with the level of service I would expect from a hostess. That said, I want to note that the rest of our experience was positive. Our server was friendly, attentive, and provided excellent service throughout our meal. The food itself was also very good (I would not recommend the orange chicken though) and something I would return for.
