WOW!!! I've never dealt with such awful customer service... the young man who took our order (Josh) was unenthusiastic and miserable. Pulled up to the window and the young lady literally threw our food out the window with no comment. Like ????? I'm sorry you guys chose to work at Panda Express, but that's completely unacceptable and ridiculous. Mind you, they weren't packed in drive through, there's no dine in atm, it was only 5....I see I'm not the only customer who's food was basically thrown at them either.... the little girl needs to be fired and thrown out. I consider myself a Panda veteran. Dozens of dining experiences at other locations, but first time in Buda. The restaurant was clean and the staff friendly as one might expect. With that, this was my most unfavorite Panda trip. The sweet fire chicken was old and tough. I managed to down a few bites before deciding that was enough. I aired my grievance with the staff and requested a small serving or orange chicken. I'm not looking for free food...just something to supplement the sweet fire. With very little explanation they granted my request. This is the kind of service I have come to expect from Panda. The orange chicken was unusually spicy. It always has a small bite to it, but this was kick you in the mouth hot. Not sure what was different about today. This is the only experience that didn't live up to my expectations. That said, I'll for sure give it another shot before passing permanent judgement. read more

When their food is fresh it is delicious, well prepared and of high quality. Their problem is consistency: dried-out rice, old soggy entree items and poorly served portions set this location apart as one in dire need of better quality control standards. My advise is skip the drive thru and go inside to order what appears to be fresh and appetizing at that time. . read more

The Buda location of Panda Express is really declining. For this past September, October and part of November I keep going through the drive-thru and there's always something wrong with the food. I always get a medium Beijing Beef box. It has been getting progressively dryer and in the past I attributed that to ordering it too late at night or getting the very last of what they have on hand. My luck can't be that bad. Today was the final straw and I didn't complain I just went home. Today it says if someone fried the beef and then let it sit too long and went ahead and fried it again and then put a meager amount of sauce on it. My jaw hurts and I've only taken five bites. I feel like I'm going to break my teeth. So I guess from now on I'll just go to Kyle and see if there any better. Things are going to get hard and if people want to keep their jobs then they need to do a better job at keeping their stores open by providing excellent customer service and product!!!! Went to this new location of Panda Express yesterday for take out. My advice is take a few more minutes and drive to the one in Kyle. First, the portions were extremely small. I normally get very full with a 2 entree meal...but i could have eaten two of these meals with the amount they gave me. Secondly, I paid extra for their new Steak and Shrimp entree. When I got home, on top of being disappointed with the serving size, I was also very disappointed that the Steak and Shrimp had ZERO shrimp in it. How can someone serve Steak and Shrimp without making sure there's actually Shrimp in it? Needless to say, I had to eat something else to get a full meal. I didn't want to drive 25 minutes back to Buda. I was hopeful for this new location as its a little closer...unfortunately, I will not be going back to this location. I have tried this place multiple times now with my gf and I love Panda Express; it's easy, quick, and delicious if done right... However, sad to say this location should be avoided by everyone so that a restaurant that will actually hire a staff that isn't unskilled and uncaring. The chefs make orange chicken wrong to where the flavor is purely sour and there is no sweetness; it tastes off and not good (the staple of PE). Also I tried again recently to give them a second shot and the orange chicken tasted the same... bad; but also this time the veggies in the chow mein tasted like they had been washed with dish soap or something; it was awful and I didn't know someone could be capable of screwing up Panda Express... it's all prepackaged fast food just read the instructions and do it properly. On top of all the food tasting bad the employees just don't care; they forget items or leave them off on purpose hoping people don't notice. A bad staff at this location is robbing the city of Buda from having a quick easy american Chinese restaurant and it's a shame; I will never be back until they open up a new restaurant at this location. read more

Omg I don't know where to start but this is my second time going to this place the first time we went their they had no food and the food that was there was looking very cold one of the employee told us that the warmer broke so I guess they didn't even know it was broken. So I said I'm going to give it another chance today we walk in the store and the employees didn't even A knowledge us . Well we finally got served are food the girl that was helping us didn't listen to me and gave me the wrong thing then she got mad and gave me the correct item that I wanted and again the food was cold I was very disappointed again . Trying my best to support business during covid but this deliver food service has never been right at any time. Today's foul up happened at Buda'a Panda Express. I ordered directly from their website at the request of the birthday boy. When it was delivered, we were missing his plate of food. Of all the plates, his. I attempt to call, it rings until it hangs up on its own, but I'm already in my car driving to the establishment. I finally get an answer, tell them the situation and he wants to write my name in a book for future order. So...the birthday kid doesn't get to eat a dinner? That's why I'm driving there. I tell him I just want the food, I'm already on my way and I don't want to wait. He assures me I won't and directs me to pull up in front of the store and the food will be brought out. I advise him of the vehicle I'm driving. I get there, nothing. I call and call and call. No one answers. I get their attention by slamming my phone that is ringing for them and my receipt on the glass window. And then I get the person with whom I spoke to on the phone. I tell him I've been here and remind him that he failed his part on what he said he'd do. He goes in. I'm waiting another 8 mins for him. He finally comes out- with my full order. I tell him I only want the missing plate. If I wanted that much food I'd have ordered it. So I waited even longer for him to find the plate in the bag. This is now 12 mins after I've arrived at the restaurant for a plate that was to be delivered. We just wanted to have dinner with the bday boy as a family and we didn't get to do that because this restaurant had me driving into town and waiting for a delivery order. read more

The service is very slow. Discontinued items on the menu and then waited over 30 minutes in the drive thru! Once I got my food it was wrong, I had to go back into the store and had to wait 10 more minutes because what I actually ordered was not cooked yet. The manager on duty and the girls at the counter were all overwhelmed and the service was suffering. More training in customer service needs to be done in this store--empathy goes a long way. The food was excellent. The service was good. I feel that Panda Express as a whole uses fresh ingredients that of high quality. That is why I am giving it an all 5 star rating. This is a very new location and those quite often have a learning curve. This one functions well. read more

This Panda Express is okay. Was looking for a late night dinner option and saw that they were open until 10:30. Went through the drive-thru to find out that the kitchen closes at 10:00 so you get to chose from whatever food is left over. I'm not sure how a company that serves food expects to close their kitchen and offer their guests leftovers for 30 minutes, but to each their own. The portions are significantly smaller than the Panda Express in Kyle. read more

I love Panda Express. The food is savory and fresh. I ordered a Beef-Brocolli with mixed vegetables through the drive-thru and got home eager to eat it. The broccoli was hard as a rock. Panda is always right with there fresh cooked goodies. No matter where you are you know your gonna get some good food. We are ecstatic about our new Buda Panda which helps because my son is a PE junkie. So much so that this is what he has chosen for the family after the DV graduation, Go class of '18, this coming weekend. I usually don't write reviews like this, but I feel it needed to be addressed. I placed my order in the drive thru and the guy who took my order was very much of a gentleman. However when I got to the window the young lady that gave me my food first got my order wrong and then proceeded to basically throw my order out the window and was very annoyed as I was asking her for simple things like condiments and the water I originally asked for and each time I got a rude gesture. I'm very compassionate during this time for fast food workers as I'm sure it has not been easy due to COVID, but I'm all for customer service as I am in the field and if you are the face of the window you should present your attitude accordingly. read more

Went through the drive through, ordered a simple orange chicken bowl w/ brown rice. Get home, no chicken just rice. Call & ask to speak to a manager. Explained what happened and he literally couldn't have cared less. Accused me of trying to get free food because I told him I don't know what I did with my receipt. Asked for his name & he hung up on me. This happened Sunday evening July 29th @ 8 pm. I WOULDN'T EVEN GIVE 1 STAR FOR THIS SORRY PLACE OF A RESTAURANT! Around 9 PM on December 15th. First off right when me and boyfriend walk in, instead of being greeted we are told "we are out of orange chicken so if that's what you came for we don't have it". Putting the ugly comment aside, we continue to look at the options available to us. We both got the white rice and teriyake chicken and continue to sit and eat only half way through my meal I find a thick black hair in it! So I told the girl up front and she tells her manager "there is supposedly a hair in her food" (without even looking to make sure) (also did not even say sorry just assumes I am lying). Not only did I not get a full refund OR AN APOLOGY for that matter, the manager was literally laughing with his employees at my situation in the back after digging in the food to find the hair..when they found it, the laughter came. I would not recommend anyone to eat here especially with your children. It's like the health of the people they are serving does not care to them and it's horrible. But, the food was super bland and did not taste good, specifically the fried rice and the orange chicken was overly spicy. Ended up throwing it away. What has happened to Panda??? They used to be quite good, and reasonably priced. We had lunch at the location in Buda. The food was under whelming, bland, just not the standard we knew, since we began frequenting Panda Express 13 or 14 years ago, granted in another state but there should be conformity, shouldn't there??? Not only that but the price has gone up apparently as the quality has dropped. A meal used to be about $12 to $15 for the 2 of us, it was well worth it as the food was good and there was plenty of it, so "leftovers". On Saturday For the same order, 2 items, each, the bill was $25.80. I know about inflation, but near doubling the price should be accompanied by at least a partial accomplishment in quality, or something. Panda now lacks the charm it once had, and the unique flavor of Chinese fast food. Sad to experience it. Pay more....expect less, not the right direction for businesss. read more

They used to be my favorite but now they have been the worst. The employees don't speak, there can be 5 employees standing around and they wait 10 minutes to ask "can they help you"? Nobody smiles but one guy I see named jensy. But the rest, they look like you making them have a job and work. The food is always gone and you gotta wait 10-20 min for it to be cooked. If you see you're almost out why wait till it's a scoop left which by the way goes on top of the hot food they finally bring out. Who does that? Then to top it off they give you 3 huge scoops of rice and half a scoop of meat. On the teriyaki chicken they pick one small and one big piece slice it up and then put it in your bowl or plate and throw a few pieces back in the container with the rest of the chicken. If you're gonna give one piece then cut one piece and call it a day don't fake no one out like you giving them a lot of meat. Oh and don't go when they cleaning up they will sweep the floor and then serve you after you stand there waiting. And where the hell is the manager??? Who is running this place? Did they run the managers away? I saw them stand around one day while the manger did the serving I guess they were boycotting him well it worked haven't seen him since. Anyway, if you're hungry pick one of the other restaurants around there cause never go to Panda Express in buda hungry or you will wanna kill someone if you don't die from waiting for the food or dealing with the rude faces. Fire them and get a new crew, serve better, cook faster and get a manager in that place or you will go from hungry to hangry! read more
