Got some coupons in the mail so figured we'd give it a try. First experience wasn't great. My wife ordered the bogo bowls and handed the cashier the coupon and credit card and they ring up both bowls anyways. She had to go inside to fix it and they said it was easier to just give her another bowl instead of a refund. Not ideal. As far as the food, my Kung pow chicken with fried rice was just ok. You can tell this food is made with no love. Tastes like a microwaved dish from the supermarket. My wife got a chicken and noodle bowl and hers literally only had 1 nugget of chicken. Listen... they just opened and I believe they are still ironing out the kinks. I decided to go there tonight. Boy o boy was I surprised! The place was packed!!! The drive thru was all the way to the street! The parking lot was full! The line inside was out the door. So what did I do? I decided to get the app (highly recommend) and I placed the order online. I sat in my car for a few minutes & then walked in and my order was ready shortly thereafter. It was busy inside but the place looked clean. I went and asked a girl if I could get my cup to go ahead and fill it up before my food was ready. She was a little frazzled and told me it was her first day. I told her it was ok and that I completely understood. I feel like people need to give these kids just a little grace as they learn their new job. We are lucky to have a place like this that I imagine will continue to do really well. I got chili shrimp & orange chicken with 1/2 fried rice & 1/2 chow mein noodles. It was good. Was it great... no. But it's standard Panda Express food. I got the crab Rangoon and it was fine. The orange chicken was good but I didn't care for the Chili shrimp .... It was kinda dry. It's a little spicy ... I like spicy but if you don't then I wouldn't suggest it. Depending on my mood & hunger, I'd go back and try something new each time. SERVICE: The service is so sweet and made nice small talk! I have almost never had to wait too long for my food. If I did, it was because they ran out, and it never took to long for them to cook it. No need to be alarmed I will keep this post short and sweet. This location is not very good. Drive thru line is very very slow. Could just be me but seems portion sizing is way smaller then before. While portions sizes have gone down it seems the place keeps getting more expensive. So when I first heard they were building a Panda Express I was extremely excited. And at first this place was awesome. Sadly this restaurant is already letting its faults outshine everything else. Recently the food has been getting portioned less and less and it's obvious. Not an issue this time but recently has been. Today, there were 7 cars in the drive through. Now I expected a wait, but given this location has two drive throughs I thought maybe 20 minutes at an absolute max. I then spent the next 40 minutes in line waiting for the food and another 5 minutes out front waiting again. Absolutely ridiculous, if I knew I was gonna waste an hour getting food I would have just made it myself. Also, very specifically asked for soy sauce. Go figure, none in the bag. The staff are always friendly and I have never had any issue with customer service besides an inexcusable wait and no way to leave the drive through line. People are ridiculous to keep giving bad reviews for what I can only assume is complete BS. I've been to dozens of PE across the country and the quality of the food is extremely consistent so anyone who writes a bad review that THIS particular PE "doesn't cook things right" is full of it. Secondly, the fried rice is not "horrible", "undercooked" or "inconsistent" it's cooked exactly the way it is across every PE I've ever been to. If you don't like fried rice in general then don't order the fried rice and then complain about it! Thirdly, the people who complained about the portion size being too small for the containers, did you stop to think about what SIZE portion you ordered?! If PE only carries large size containers for food and you order the small, you shouldn't expect to have it filled up for crying out loud, you ordered a SMALL! I ordered the bowl size King Pao and it was in a styrofoam container but 1/2 full, I realized quickly that I usually order 2 food options but not this time, so that's why it was only half full. Next - I've never had to wait more than 3-5 min for my food orders and that's pretty much at any PE across the country. If you're in the drive thru it's not their fault if there's 10 cars in line. I guarantee you'd wait longer at Cult-Fil-A. Lastly, I've always had very good service and many of the younger workers are incredibly friendly and much more personal than any other fast food place I've been to. As for Chinese food quality, as one review remarked 'it's not authentic Chinese food but it's not meant to be' is exactly right. It's Chinese fast food. If You want super high quality Chinese food then go to a sit down restaurant with a full menu. Some of you reviewers act like you ate at a high end Chinese restaurant in SF or NYC and expect the same food quality. It is what it is and this site does a great job. Why don't some of you reviewers drive a mile east and review the McDonalds there on the corner, maybe you can complain they didnt give you cloth napkins to wipe the BBQ sauce off your lips from the Le chicken nuggets. read more
