I passed this place all the time and finally decided to give it a try. It was around 8pm and I ordered from the drive thru. The menu is huge so I suggest you looking at their menu online first if you can (which is what i did). I ordered 2 birria burritos and I wanted apple churro's but they were out so I went with raspberry. There was 1 car in front and I didn't have to wait too long. Staff was nice and the food was very reasonably priced in my opinion. Came home and the burrito was so good. The churro wasn't bad either. I enjoyed it but I have to go back for the apple. This is very much a fast food style operation, with counter you order from and a drive through. The food is very authentic and amount is generous. Mexican style breakfast is served all day, and I love the Mexican beverages... just soft drinks though, no alcohol that I saw. I had been hearing about this place and I love Mexican food so we had to check it out! I didn't realize it was a chain until I looked up their address. It didn't matter - I just wasn't aware. They have a drive thru and you can order on line ahead of time. We didn't do that though. We actually went in to eat. There are kiosks where you can order, but someone came to the counter and took our order. She was very friendly and when asked, told us what some of their more popular menu items were. My husband ended up getting the birria tacos and really liked them. They have a large menu and I didn't know what to get so I ordered a #5. It was an enchilada and a taco. We ordered fountain drinks with our meals. They have premade little things of chips and we were each given one and said we could get more if we wanted to. They also have a salsa bar where you can choose which one you prefer. It didn't take long to get our food. My husband's looked really good! Mine was average at best. The enchilada was not hot - and only slightly warm. The taco had only beef and some cheese in it. I thought there would be more to it. It came with rice and beans which I didn't know was part of the meal. I don't like refried beans so I typically ask to not have them served to me because it's a waste. The rice was fine. It's a little place - it seats 21 people. Everything was very clean. It's a fast casual place. I just didn't order well for me - someone else might love what I had! So good! We love this place for authentic, fast Mexican food. My personal favorite is the French fries carne asada burrito! The kids meal is also a great deal. You get a kids quesadilla, beans and rice, and a juice for $7 ($3 extra charge for carne asada quesadilla). We used to always stop at the jack in the box that used to be here so now we stop by abelardo's! Would highly recommend since all the food we've ever gotten has been extremely fresh and stays so warm during the drive home. Their breakfast burrito is a classic and what you'd expect. Holy cow, where has this place been hiding?? We've passed by I don't know how many times and finally just stopped in this weekend. I don't even know where to begin... I won't spoil it too much, you'll just have to go have a look on your own and try this place out but I can say that I highly suggest the Surf and Turf Burrito. Fresh, hot, well cooked, just a total treat. The prices are right where they should be. Value for the money is perfect. ordering is a little funky but easy enough when you get the hang of it and that takes about twenty seconds. There are two kiosks to use for ordering and they are super simple. Point, drag, and pick. If there was a negative to this place, and I won't deduct points right away, is that they dining area only has, what, five tables? So coming here during dining time will have you standing up or taking it to go. There's a salsa bar. Kind of. They have tiny baskets of warm chips and some salsas to choose from but nothing super totally amazing. They are good, though. Personally, I felt rushed (NOT by the staff by any means) with 4 cars behind me. I'm sure they were like, "ok lady. Let's get a move on." I'll need to be honest, as this location is sometimes a hit and sometimes a slight miss. The food and pricing are more than reasonable and the staff is usually, nice although the way the items look on the menu don't always look that appealing. I've not dined in and only been thru the drive so I can't really comment on the ambience but I will say that from the outside looking in, it looks pretty well lit. All in all I'd give this place a four star rating and would still recommend giving them a try or two or even three as I do plan on dining there again. read more

We're here for lunch and a Saturday afternoon. We dined inside. First thing to know, the dining area is very small with six tables, 24 people can sit inside. This is an old Jack-in-the-Box converted to a new western style Mexican restaurant. Parking lot is a little bit crammed again a small space. There are two ordering kiosks touchscreens or you can order at a register. The menu is large with plenty of options. We ordered a combination plate, a cheese, quesadilla, and a breakfast burrito with chorizo, an egg, and a side of queso. Prices were on car where they sit down Mexican restaurant, but this is fast casual Mexican food. Food took about 10 minutes to get to our table. While we waited, they have self-serve chips and a salsa bar. My recommendation is to label all of the salsas because we had no idea which was spicy and which was not. The red salsa and green salsa was very good, the self serve chips come in a boat container with 4 to 5 chips, so we had to keep going back for more. The food arrived fresh and hot. Our order was kind of correct, but instead of a cheese quesadilla, we got an upgraded steak quesadilla. The breakfast burrito had plenty of filling, and the chorizo inside had decent flavor. The steak quesadilla was just fine, a big portion. The combination plate with the tacos was also incorrect with the wrong meat, but we didn't say anything because they are still working at the kinks as a new restaurant.. we paid three dollars for a small cup of queso, don't really think it was worth that. This place is fine. It's a fast casual Mexican place, with a pretty overwhelming menu. I think will wait to go back because there's nothing really that struck us as we have to go back. So many options for great food. We got breakfast steak burritos (the asada & the Nebraska) with both their green and red salsa. This was our first time & when the food was handed over to us we were surprised by the weight of the burritos. They are a good size I was only able to eat half because they are filling. Was really looking forward to this place ever since seeing the renovations but after our visit I unfortunately will not be returning. This joint is going for authentic Mexican food with fast food quickness guaranteed. Truthfully the tacos came out shortly after ordering which was nice since it seemed to be busy. It was packed but the amount of tables is numbered. I highly recommend take out because there was a constant battle for seating and it was a tight squeeze in there. As for the most important part, the food was not worth the money. $30 for authentic Mexican is understandable but the quality is horrific and I would rather have Taco Bell. The meat felt undercooked, the salsa station was pure liquid as if it has been realllly sitting out and the shells were chewy. I'm very sad to say this experience was rough since I had such high hopes. But honestly it was really bad and we had to get ice cream afterward to get rid of the taste. My kids thought the salsa bar was cool and loved the chip baskets you got...but not many chips. We got the food after a few minutes and let's just say it was nothing to write home about...the chicken nuggets were hard you couldn't cut them with a knife. The chips were terrible. Tasted like plastic and the aftertaste lasted for a while. We spent $50ish and had really high hopes and were let down so much. First visit today, dine in after church on Sunday. I think they do the majority of their business via a drive-through. The in-store ordering process was a little challenging. They have a kiosk to place your order. There was a register and I would have preferred to place my order with a person, but no one came to the front despite us struggling with the kiosk for a really long time. The kiosk wasn't hard to use, but there were just so many options that it took a really long time to work out how we needed to place our orders. Several items we wanted to order didn't come with chicken (like chimichanga) so we kept having to back out of orders to try again after getting a layer or two through ordering an item. I was surprised to see some toppings that are normally no charge at other places carried a charge through the kiosk. For example, my daughter likes steak tacos with cheese and lettuce. Their Carne Asada tacos came with guacamole and pico. She didn't want either so we removed those, but were charged for both lettuce and cheese when we added those on.. We also didn't see an option to switch the corn tortillas for flour. I am betting if we were ordering from a person instead of a kiosk, they would've been able to figure that out. I didn't see an option to order a cup of water from the kiosk so I didn't actually end up with a drink which was a bummer. We ordered fountain drinks for the rest of my family and they all got cups, but I didn't. Ordering was the only part of the visit that was a little unpleasant. Staff was very polite. Tortilla chips were free, but you needed to ask for them for a case. This was absolutely not a problem and they were generous with handing them out. There was a salsa bar in the back with some really yummy salsa options. The salsa Roja was amazing and nice and spicy. Among us, we tried the fish tacos, the chicken tacos, the beef taco tacos, the Carne Asada tacos, the tostada and the pork tamale. The fish taco was not very good and I didn't finish it. The chicken beef and steak tacos were all very good. The ground beef is very heavily seasoned to the point of almost being too salty, but was really good. The MASA for the tamale was nice and soft and tender, but there was very little meat filling. My daughter didn't eat her tostada because it was only tapped with refried beans. I think she thought it was going to be beef. The Mexican rice was very good. I don't eat the refried pinto beans, but I was told they were fine. I ordered a side of guacamole for the table and it was more of like avocado sauce than guacamole. I would definitely not order it again. I'm sure it's fine as a sauce on some of the taco tacos or burritos, but definitely not good for dipping. The inside dining area consists of maybe four tables. It was clean and just fine for a quick counter service lunch. We will definitely be back to try again, but I think next time we will spend a little time reviewing the menu ahead of time. For a "Fast food" chain the food is quick and delicious. Portions are large as well. The food comes pretty plan, but their salsa bar can doctor up anything to your taste. Everyone is there to help you and answer any questions. They have self check out and it didn't ask if I wanted to leave a tip. Granted I tossed a couple bucks in the basket afterwards. This place used to be a Jack in the box and you can still tell on the outside, but inside it's festive and clean. I will be returning. read more
