I had been hearing about this place and I love Mexican food so we had to check it out! I didn't realize it was a chain until I looked up their address. It didn't matter - I just wasn't aware. They have a drive thru and you can order on line ahead of time. We didn't do that though. We actually went in to eat. There are kiosks where you can order, but someone came to the counter and took our order. She was very friendly and when asked, told us what some of their more popular menu items were. My husband ended up getting the birria tacos and really liked them. They have a large menu and I didn't know what to get so I ordered a #5. It was an enchilada and a taco. We ordered fountain drinks with our meals. They have premade little things of chips and we were each given one and said we could get more if we wanted to. They also have a salsa bar where you can choose which one you prefer. It didn't take long to get our food. My husband's looked really good! Mine was average at best. The enchilada was not hot - and only slightly warm. The taco had only beef and some cheese in it. I thought there would be more to it. It came with rice and beans which I didn't know was part of the meal. I don't like refried beans so I typically ask to not have them served to me because it's a waste. The rice was fine. It's a little place - it seats 21 people. Everything was very clean. It's a fast casual place. I just didn't order well for me - someone else might love what I had! We'll likely go back, but I'll order better!

This is very much a fast food style operation, with counter you order from and a drive through. The food is very authentic and amount is generous. Mexican style breakfast is served all day, and I love the Mexican beverages... just soft drinks though, no alcohol that I saw. Free spicy carrots and chips with selections of salsas, self-served style. Also, the flour tortillas were absolutely delicious. I can just eat that alone as a snack. Plenty of free and easy parking.

Another solid experience. Ordered takeout from my phone (pickup inside of the drive thru is busy). Chimichanga w/ steak & smothered in red sauce (4.25/5): one of the best chimichangas I have had in St. Louis. Very big and yummy! Red sauce is a must, in my opinion. Served with rice and beans which were decent.

So good! We love this place for authentic, fast Mexican food. My personal favorite is the French fries carne asada burrito! The kids meal is also a great deal. You get a kids quesadilla, beans and rice, and a juice for $7 ($3 extra charge for carne asada quesadilla). Everyone is very friendly and the drive thru is surprisingly fast considering they make everything fresh as you order.

We used to always stop at the jack in the box that used to be here so now we stop by abelardo's! Would highly recommend since all the food we've ever gotten has been extremely fresh and stays so warm during the drive home. Their breakfast burrito is a classic and what you'd expect. Their chicken chipotle burrito is amazing though! It has fries in it and is spicier than you'd expect, which we love! Cannot wait to keep trying more things from here.

REAALLY good carne asada burrito! 1st time there and went thru the drive-thru - my bad. I think, had I known the menu was that extensive, I would've dined in for my first time. Personally, I felt rushed (NOT by the staff by any means) with 4 cars behind me. I'm sure they were like, "ok lady. Let's get a move on." (Just me feeling bad for taking my time) The guy was very nice who took my order, it came out rather quickly, and it was delish! I'm glad that I live close to it, so when that hankering for good Mexican food comes along, I'm going there!

We're here for lunch and a Saturday afternoon. We dined inside. First thing to know, the dining area is very small with six tables, 24 people can sit inside. This is an old Jack-in-the-Box converted to a new western style Mexican restaurant. Parking lot is a little bit crammed again a small space. There are two ordering kiosks touchscreens or you can order at a register. The menu is large with plenty of options. We ordered a combination plate, a cheese, quesadilla, and a breakfast burrito with chorizo, an egg, and a side of queso. Prices were on car where they sit down Mexican restaurant, but this is fast casual Mexican food. Food took about 10 minutes to get to our table. While we waited, they have self-serve chips and a salsa bar. My recommendation is to label all of the salsas because we had no idea which was spicy and which was not. The red salsa and green salsa was very good, the self serve chips come in a boat container with 4 to 5 chips, so we had to keep going back for more. The food arrived fresh and hot. Our order was kind of correct, but instead of a cheese quesadilla, we got an upgraded steak quesadilla. The breakfast burrito had plenty of filling, and the chorizo inside had decent flavor. The steak quesadilla was just fine, a big portion. The combination plate with the tacos was also incorrect with the wrong meat, but we didn't say anything because they are still working at the kinks as a new restaurant.. we paid three dollars for a small cup of queso, don't really think it was worth that. This place is fine. It's a fast casual Mexican place, with a pretty overwhelming menu. I think will wait to go back because there's nothing really that struck us as we have to go back. The price were also very high we thought...and on par with a more formal sit-down Mexican restaurant. I would rather go somewhere else than this place.

This place is amazing, food service is quality and proceeds to impress me everytime i return 5 star quality food and friendly customer service. Highly highly reccomend to anyone in ballwin looking for good mexican food.

When you enter, it's very small but very well put together décor wise. Each area had signs that discouraged movement of their furniture and had its own kind of theme. I was meeting up with a friend and her daughter and unfortunately did not realize they had the typical café hours (closed at 2pm) so my visit was very quick (30 minutes) and I had to rush my conversation. I ordered an iced Monstera Mint latte and chocolate coffee cake slice. When the barista called up my order, I repeated my order asking if it's mine (they don't use a name system) and apparently *I* mispronounced MONSTERA because she turned her back and said within earshot to her coworker how I did not pronounce it correctly and why do people say it incorrectly. I am not a big plant person so excuse me for not knowing how every single plant name is pronounced. I know people vent at work, but it made me feel uncomfortable the rest of my visit, so I was glad it was almost time to leave before they closed. Vent after customers leave if you have to.... Anyways, my MONSTER-AH mint latte was good, but the chocolate coffee cake was a bit too dry for me. And service could have been a bit more professional in my opinion.

I'm not sure what this place even is, despite having dined there yesterday. It serves breakfast,…read morelunch and dinner, and doesn't seem to specialize in anything in particular. It's in a weirdly large building that looks like a place where you'd go to get lasik surgery. I visited after a run on a day where the heat index was like 109, so I didn't spend that much time inside, just enough to drip sweat all over the front counter and the floor in the vestibule. We sat outside in an area that seems like the place where you'd pull up and unload your luggage at a hotel. A member of our group says she once attended some sort of Xmas pop-up in the basement here where you were charged a cover and then expected to pay for drinks and pizza, so... uh, caveat emptor. We ordered at the little bar up front, but I'm not sure if that's also the case if you dine inside. These places always flip out when there's umpteen different people ordering separately, because they only have but so many of those numbers you set on the table so they know where to bring your food. It ended up not being an issue with us, because who else was going to engage in al fresco dining during a heat advisory? This place serves pizza, but it didn't look that good in the few photos I saw. Granted, food often looks like crap in Yelp photos. Also, there's an emphasis on '90s-style health food, organic ingredients and what have you. There's a Salmon BLT that's featured prominently that seemed like it might be the thing to get, but I didn't know enough about this place to be ordering fish, and I'd already been meaning to eat a bacon cheeseburger for the past several days. Maybe next time. There is no bacon cheeseburger as a separate menu item unto itself. I figured I might just order a cheeseburger and add bacon, but I'm not sure if that's an option, and this wasn't a regular cheeseburger. It had a few different weird cheeses on it, spinach and maybe some other things. Then I saw the Dill-bert, which seemed like it might be really good. It has, among other things, dill Havarti cheese (whatever that is), avocado, and of course, bacon. It's served on a wheat bun, which, whatever. Its name is not a tribute to Scott Adams, as far as I know, but this is Ballwin. The Dill-bert did not disappoint. No Diddy. The beef comes from one of those special farms where the cows are all given names as if they were human beings, groomed on a daily basis by trafficking victims and read bedtime stories, and you really can taste the difference. It's a better quality meat. It's also expertly prepared. It's well-seasoned and cooked until it develops a nice char on the exterior. It was a bit more done on the inside than I require, but that may have been unavoidable. For a side, there was an option of tater tots cooked in an air fryer, like if your mom was feeling lazy. I didn't see any french fries, but maybe I'm going blind. I ordered a side salad, which is my thing these days. Sometimes they're surprisingly good, and a french fry is a french fry, unless you're at McDonald's. This one was pretty good, but it was definitely on the health-food side of things--very fresh and lightly but sufficiently dressed with something citrus-y and not too oily. Oh, and I was duped into purchasing a whiskey sour slushie. It just seemed like it would be so refreshing. It must have cost nearly as much as my meal, given what my bill came out to. They must think I'm a sucker. Did they receive advance notice of my visit? It did kinda hit the spot, and I probably got drunker than I would have otherwise, because I was suffering from a minor heatstroke, so there was that.
