Came here one night late, about an hour from close and 30 mins from the inside closing. The positives: The staff were very friendly and accommodating and the tables were clean. The negatives: They were out of so much food. I got half a scoop of hot orange chicken because they were out. They did compensate by giving me extra Beijing beef. I've always had great food from this location. More often than not I am ordering for delivery, however in my in person visits here I have received satisfactory service, and I'm always happy to return. They're a rather busy location and seem to do a fantastic job at balancing everything to properly address every customer to the best of their ability. My most recent visit was proof that they have a solid staff there. I was having my order taken and prepared in the midst of their dinner rush, and twice in that process customers had come up that were not in line, one to ask for more to be added to her plate, and another with a rather unnecessary complaint demanding refunds, and the entire time the employee helping me (I think his name was Jason?) was friendly and maintained his composure and balanced his responsibilities as well as anyone could have. I've never had a negative experience at this Panda Express, and they've continued to give me reasons to return. Give it a go! read more

I called to cancel the order. I was put on hold and left there for over 5 minutes. Then called back and whoever picked up the phone kept pressing buttons like a child then place me on hold without saying anything. Called back again and the girl who answered said they couldn't cancel the order. Then when I said I'll just call my credit card company and leave a Yelp review and wait for the manager to contact me about the issue she said she'll cancel it. Why does someone have up get to that point before they actually do what was requested to begin with. I have a feeling she just said she'll cancel it and she's not going to cancel it. I've had positive experiences here the past several times I've come. I love Chinese food, so having a fast food restaurant that provides it cheap and quickly is like heaven to me. Mind you, it's fast food. It's basically one step up from mall Chinese food, so don't expect a luxurious Chinese dinner by any means...but you get a ton of food for what you pay for. It's also so delicious. The orange chicken and honey sesame chicken are my go-tos. I love how sweet they are, and they pair well with the savory chow mein. When I order Chinese in general I always get rice, but from now on I'll be getting chow mein as my side from Panda because it is 10x better than their rice. Their crab rangoons are rarely the absolute best, but last night they were stuffed with filling and totally on point. Be sure to order a side of sweet and sour for them because sauce isn't always served with them. The staff at this location have been very accommodating and polite. I love the concept of fast food Chinese, so say what you will, but I'll always come to Panda if I'm craving some cheap, quick Chinese!! read more

My first visit to Panda Express!! Loved it!!! Beijing beef, broccoli and beef and white rice... it was dam good. $9.00 money worth spent. To think I can Chinese food to go.. love it! I have a craving from time to time - but who wants to wait .. I don't often "dine in" so Panda Express works for me. My boyfriend said this chain was popular out in Cali years ago.. wonder why it took so long to come to the Burg? I was ISO something fast while out running errands in Robinson.. wasn't feeling a "Sandwich" and thought I would try it out.. I went inside and got it "to go" so I can see what it was all about. I will definitely check out he drive thru next. The customer service inside was awesome. I told the woman who waited on me behind the counter it was my first time.. so I got to sample a few entrees. It was a great first experience! I am completely won over! I couldn't wait until I got to my next destination .. I ate it all in my car. It was so good.. I went into a zone. Of course the selection isn't going to be as wide as at a regular Chinese restaurant, but for the price and portions you can't beat it. The place was clean and in a convenient location. Let me first start by saying that, if I could, I would give this place zero stars. My husband and I went to Panda Express in Robinson (6/30) to grab dinner after our workout. The manager Kaitlyn D took our order, I went first and ordered a bigger plate (what I got does not matter for this review since it's strictly customer service). My husband also asked for a bigger plate but Kaitlyn D stated that she did not hear him. Rayana J (cashier) was just looking at Kaitlyn D to see what was being ordered instead of asking what we got and rang the order up already. It wasn't until my husband asked Kaitlyn D for his last side that she then responded, "you never said you wanted a bigger plate". The cashier Rayana J then said she did not ring him up for a bigger plate and said the total was $5.20 for a side order of grilled teriyaki chicken. My husband paid because he was just taken back but the miscommunication and wanted to move on since someone was behind us. As we were grabbing our silverware and napkins, he was looking at the recipe and was confused and went back to talk to the cashier since no one else was in line. Rayana then became defensive, overtalking my husband and raising her voice; she told my husband, "Are you going to let me talk". My husband is not a confrontational person so he just said he was trying to understand and told them to have a nice day and we left back to our vehicle. As we were in the parking lot, we felt disrespected and decided to just return the food and ask for our money back; we are not one to give our money to an establishment like Panda Express that disrespects their customers and think it's okay. We went back into Panda Express and Rayana walked to the side of the restaurant we heard her say to her manager Kaitlyn D, "You can handle them". We spoke with Kaitlyn D and expressed that we felt disrespected by her employee Rayana J and we wanted to return our food for a refund on our order. Kaitlyn D seems to be understanding, as we are waiting to get the refund processed - Rayana J is talking to her assistant manager very loudly saying things like "I don't even need this job, this is how we were trained, they were not even letting me talk" and going on and on. I then told Kaitlyn D that I would be going to corporate because all she had to do was explain the miscommunication instead of being disrespectful and continuing to run her mouth while customers are present. This continued for 5 more minutes when I told my husband that I was going to call corporate - Kaitlyn D then said "Oh do not worry about her" but the manager Kaitlyn D did not do anything to de-escalate her employee Rayana J or have her step away from the cash register. She also did not even give us a refund of the order, she just refunded us for the side order of the grilled chicken and when we told her that is what we said we wanted from the beginning she says, "there is obviously a miscommunication here, we can not refund you the whole order" and then preceded to walk away. We were not going to continue going back and forth with someone who does not understand when they make a mistake, to take accountability and fix it for the customer. I am not the type to write bad reviews and I really love Panda Express, the first time we went here we had a very good experience and that is why we returned but after today we will not be returning to this place. Rayana J is very disrespectful and needs to work on active listening and communication skills. The manager Kaitlyn D needs to work on being a manager and removing employees that continue to make a scene in this establishment. Decided to come on my lunch break with my boyfriend. We went through the drive through, stuck behind the car in front of us for at least 10 minutes and then asked to wait to take our order for at least 5 minutes. Then, they asked us to pull up to a spot in the parking lot to wait. We sat in the car for about 20 minutes before my boyfriend went inside to get our food. He sat inside waiting for another 20 minutes. The manger was a man who said he was not from this location. We were not able to get a refund for our food, instead he gave us an extra portion of steak and shrimp. He told my boyfriend that the next time we came we would have free replacement meals the next time we came back (taking down his name). We came back, two days later, and a different manager was there. She was very rude saying "that is not how that works" and said we couldn't have the meals free. This was the first time I ate food from Panda Express. I had it delivered by Grubhub. Upon arrival, I decided that the food itself was probably pretty dang good when it was made. The GH driver took a 25 mile detour while on the way to my home, which is odd since I am only 4 miles away from the restaurant. The restaurant itself, sent the wrong food, but my correct order receipt. Odd. But having spent a third of my life in the service industry, I went ahead and ate what was delivered because I was hungry, thus, the reason I had ordered in the first place. I decided to do a little comparison (with a place in the food court). I arrived around 8:30 PM. Panda Express is kind of like an Asian version of Chipotle. They have different combo meals. I decided to get 2 meats, fried rice, and an egg roll. I also purchased a bottle of water. Meats: - Orange Chicken - Grilled Chicken (this was suppose to come with a sauce but I decided not to get the sauce - I thought the Orange Chicken was enough) The cost was a little over $10. I came on a Sunday night 5 minutes before close, kind of afraid they would be mad, but to my surprise they were very pleasant and not annoyed in the least. They offered a limited menu since they were about to close-- I got the orange chicken bowl with lo mein as the side. I came here not expecting much, just to satisfy my random craving for sweet and salty.. well the food was actually good. Perfect portion, not too big not too small and the price was great. The beef and broccoli and veggies bowl that I ordered was bland, non of the savory sauce that a usual beef and broccoli existed. For the record I love Panda Express when it hits the standards. The fact there was only one car here on a Saturday night at 7:30pm should have been an indicator. I've never had such awful quality at a Panda Express. Glad I'm just visiting the area because I'd be bummed if this was the Panda I was stuck with. I ordered a large orange chicken and there were several large crunchy pieces that had zero sauce on them. I also ordered a medium white rice and neither of the cartons were full as is usual for Panda. Then there's the service. For being completely dead (one whole car in the drive through) it sure seemed tough for Deja K. to multitask. When the (only) car ahead of me had finished ordering and pulled up to the window I was greeted and told she'd be right with me. After several minutes the car at the window left. I continued to wait very patiently at the speaker, but even after more than a full minute went by after the car left I was still waiting to place my order. Assuming I'd been forgotten I piped up and finally had my order taken. The order screen was out of order, and I was told I'd get my order at the window. So I pull up and that's exactly what I got. No "Hello", "Sorry for your wait", "Thank you for being patient".....just "$14.22" and a hand out the window waiting for my payment. Manager/owner: look around... there is no shortage of fast food restaurants around you. People will easily (and clearly do) choose to go elsewhere where they know they can get good quality food and good service. read more

Not too bad bit it could be improved. Improvement being by the time I ordered my food, to the time I sat down with my drink, the food wasn't that hot temperature wise any longer. The self serve ice machine was broken and there was a small ice bucket at the station with a scoop where I had to scoop my ice into my cup. Granted these things do happen, but that should have been kept aware to the employees and at least kept filled throughout the dinner rush. My first Panda Express visit and likely my last (at this location at least). Three customers waiting and one person at the front running the register, gather food and restocking. Took far to long to get served and when I did there was no greeting. Also, there was 5 people working. In my experience if the line starts to queue, you assist the front end and get the customers out. Food was okay. Orange chicken was pretty good but the noodles and rice were very dry. Was not offered any sauces and not available for the taking as they were behind the register. Napkin dispenser was out. The tables were clean at least. Just an overall meh experience. read more

The guy working the front is as pleasant as my big toe. No customer service what so ever. Ok, can't expect much from fast food. Then I see him go out outside to empty the trash bin that was in the patio area. He comes back in and immediately started to ring up the next customer. Problem is, he never washed his hands after handling trash!!! I called the restaurant and he answered the phone to which I told him he needed to wash his hands. He asked who I was and I told him that I'm dining in and have watched him handled trash without washing his hands. It's fast food. Yes. I picked up an order from the drive thru today. My bill was about $20 and the amount of food we received was a lot. I got the orange chicken, chow main, rice, chicken in pepper sauce and some other small entree my husband picked out. All in all my only complaint is the drive thru time was kind of slow for fast food but ... really fast for Chinese. My family loved the Orange Chicken. They ate a ton. They either forget my teriyaki sauce completely or put it in the box when it's supposed to be on the side thus spilling all over the bag and making a huge mess. Good food for what it is. This is like a chipotle for Chinese food - mostly fresh and you order/select out of the food that is right in front of you. I recommend the fried rice (the chow mein usually is pretty dry) and the teriyaki chicken - the sauce that comes with it is great! read more

I travel for a living, and Panda Express is my go to for something quick. This location is lacking. It's 6pm during the week, and the food was not temperature hot, making it mediocre at best. The customer service was not great. If I were you I would avoid this location, and go to one of the many other places to eat around the area. read more

Really hits the spot! It's fast food Chinese but I've definitely had worse! The interior is very clean and the staff is always very friendly. I wanted schezusn steak and they made more for me! I enjoy that you can create a meal of multiple entrees or sides. EacH dish I've had has been great and you can find some great low calorie options like the chicken and green beans. There is a drive thru but I prefer going on. I however am not a fan of the cheese wontons or egg rolls. They always seem off read more

For Christ sakes the fortune cookie tasted like cardboard. It angers me that Panda Express has even came to Pittsburgh there's already plenty of horrendous new chain restaurants popping up around town and Panda Express adds to it.
