Ok... went one more time and it was more of the same....except this time the kids working behind the counter were actually COUNTING the number of honey walnut shrimp in each box. In case you're wondering, the magic number is "6". And that's with the UP charge for the entrée. Something has happened.....whether it's new ownership or new corporate direction. The chow mein remains mostly noodles and the portions are simply smaller....but for the same price. So usually when I crave Panda Express it's awesome, but I've been craving this for a week and I was let down unfortunately. I went in at around 9:30pm and decided to just get a bowl with Fried rice and orange chicken. Simple. Delicious. I always get it. However right when I'm checking out I look down and see a lovely cockroach. I am not sure if the cashier saw it too or not as she looked down in the same direction I did. Decided that if she saw it I didn't need to say much, I already paid. I'll probably never go again. Whatever. I drove home to dig in only to discover the food is insanely burnt. So burnt you can't even taste the flavor that it usually has. I did force myself to eat it since I spent $6+ for this and I do not like confrontation in the slightest. But this was just not a pleasant experience and safe to say I'm definitely not going back to Panda Express again. If they end up reading this, don't burn your food and get a pest control or something. read more

HOT FOOD! I had to ask the server to give me some Chow-Mein and was in such a rush, didn't think I seen her not put the regular amount of Chow-Mein in my dish, when I recognized I had less than a scoop of Chow-Mein, the second helper was laughing at so hard at the employee when she opened the container, I said, "Can I get some food in my container, she seems to want to hold a grudge and not want me to eat", she walked back over to the chow-mein and added 2 scoops laughing. It was sad, because other's in line seen what the first lady did, and said they did not want her serving their food if they do the same to him. She was relieved from her duties to the cash register, which is where a server like this needs to be. 3 stars because everything was fantastic, hot, delicious, and the service was corrected on the spot. I won't name names, but she is the only short Asian lady with a purple shirt who works there, and this is the second time she has done this to me. Once again, Panda Express does not disappoint! I was so happy when I found out a new location was opening here in Rancho. Their food is hot, tastes fresh, is extremely reasonably priced, and is delicious! I'm a creature of habit, so I always get the usual: an order of chow mein (their noodles are super thin, which I love!), orange chicken (which is to die for!), and their spring rolls. I can't say enough about this place and honestly haven't been able to find another Chinese food joint that i like better than here. read more

So I've been to this location twice. First time was an online pick up that when I was there at the pick up time I still had to wait a half hour for my food. The company sent me two free entree coupons that said one per person. Today I was ordering food for me and my other half trying to use the coupons and instead of the manager Logan being nice about it, he rudely told me that the cashier was going to be flagged for the inconsistency after I told him why I had said coupons. I went in for lunch... I watched the worker help the people in front of me, then ring them up at the register. She came back to help me without washing her hands. I mentioned it to her and all she said was "oh". I told her nevermind I was want the food, and she proceeded to go to the next people in line to help them, still without washing her hands! Went here for lunch yesterday since it's close to my work place. I was expecting a long line since it was 12:30pm on a weekday, but there was none. Fine by me, no wait! The food was fine and exactly what I expect from a Panda Express. I ordered a panda bowl with veggies and teriyaki chicken. The two girls working behind the counter were nice and friendly. The only complaint I have is when I got there, there was an employee vaping right by the entrance to the restaurant. And then when I was leaving, there were two employees! I get that it's not exactly the same thing as smoking but that seems really unprofessional to me. They should have gone to the side of the building and not right by the door where customers are walking in and out of. read more

The food is good; however, I've been here 3 times so far & the last 2 times I've had to wait for pot stickers. Today's wait for pot stickers was a whopping 29 minutes! Hopefully this will change once some time goes by & it isn't the new restaurant in town. Will try again in a few months. read more

I work 5 minutes from this one and I'm literally in there once or twice a week. This location is always jammed packed but the line moves fast. Most of the employees are nice, smile all of the time overall great customer service plus it's always clean considering they stay busy. I will continue to eat there. read more

Food was quick and tasted good BUT... I hate not getting what I paid for. Ordered medium a la carte honey walnut shrimp and it wasn't filled up. Anytime I've ordered something else they fill the box to the brim. Are the staff instructed to be super stingy on the shrimp? Considering I paid over $10 with tax for this tiny portion- I can get a feast lunch special with sides at a local Chinese restaurant. I'm not impressed. read more

Super friendly people. Exceptionally clean. We dropped in for take-out at 4:30 pm on a weekday after shopping nearby.. It was our first time at a Panda Express. The food was overdone, mushy, and salty. Portion sizes were ok, but we didn't save the leftovers. Next time, I will phone ahead for take out at a mom and pop restaurant. This location may be the finest Panda Express in the bunch, and we just don't like Panda Express. No thrill price-wise either. read more

Usually have a good experience here but not today. I ordered half rice/half chow mien in a bowl with orange chicken. The chow mien was empty so I pre paid and waited 5 minutes for my food to be done. Before I left I heard the workers asking the cooks for more rice, and I thought to myself good thing I got here sooner. A worker yells out my order half/half with orange chicken and is putting it in the bag for me. I go home and it turns out they FORGOT TO PUT MY RICE in the bowl since they ran out and just sent me home with half a portion of chow mien and orange chicken. The bowl was not all the way filled so I know it was only a half portion. Two thumbs down. read more

Standing line for a Family Feast... 2 people ahead of me I see one of the workers open her meal box and take out broccoli.. guess the person who filled it gave too much? Who does that? Then I notice them not filling my boxes full up (like all of the other panda express places I've been to) and say "you don't fill them to the top?" The lady says "we do". Took a pic when I got back... not a long ride.... didn't have time to "settle" and all at work were surprised at how much room as left to fill. Definitely could have been 1/2 to 3/4 scoop more in each of the entrée's. Won't make that mistake and go back there again. read more

If i can give this place negative stars i would!!!!! Orange chicken was dry and hard as hell! I went to kindly complain and they were rude spit in my face and almost threw a rock at me. Humiliated me in front of everyone in line made my mom walk in and out twice not once but TWICE! I am now having to see my therapist 3 times out of the week because of them. THANKS PANDA . I did a mobile order on Friday May 18th for a 4:02 pickup time. I arrived about 10 minutes early. They started preparing my order. All was completed rather quickly. I had 5 orders and 4 drinks. I asked for a drink carrier and was told that they didn't have any. I asked how was I gonna transport 4 drinks. The man helping me gave me the impression that it was my problem not his. He did offer me a box and the drinks fit OK and I managed not to spill them. Panda should invest in drink carriers. Other than that I had an OK experience read more

This place is too nasty and too much of a hassle to deal with anymore. Since the place opened in the winter of 2013, I was going here about once a week when my travels would take me to Rancho Cordova. I quickly discovered that the main thing that they are offering is S-L-O-W service. Consistently. Plus, filth inside the store and free entertainment outside the store. Score! My final visit was one for the annals of Retail Gone Bad. You see, the way Panda Express works is this: NO MATTER how much or how little food you order, you WILL NOT receive your food until EVERYONE ahead of you in line receives their food and pays. So, there I was, ordering fried rice and an entree and people ahead of me ordering for the families of three or four or five or six or 19. Whatever. My food is placed into the Styrofoam container and inch-by-inch, many hands push the little white box at a snail's pace along the counter while the world in front of me orders, tries samples, dawdles, contemplates, and eventually decides. To keep you awake, an employee will occasionally shout at you in broken English, "Sauce on top or side?!". No matter that they have asked you (and you have answered) this question multiple times since they placed your food in the little white box. Not satisfied that they are already holding your food hostage, as you slowly move down the line at a glacier's pace, they will work to further provoke you by offering you a sample of something. Decline the sample or not, they will inevitably offer you egg rolls. All the while, your food sits in its Styrofoam igloo behind the counter. At the time to FINALLY pay, they embark on the drink cross-selling performance. Okay, so I pay and tell the employee: Your service is bad and were it not for your lousy operation, I would be long gone from this dump. Her response: A shrug of the shoulders and rolling the eyes. My response: I don't want the food that has now been sitting for about 10 minutes in Styrofoam and I don't like your attitude either - give me my money back. Well, to get my money back, it took two employees working together and one telephone call about eight minutes to get the refund done (a credit to my credit card is all). I certainly understand that it is commonplace for businesses serving low income people to make them wait. Just go into a Wal-Mart, Michael's, Winco, etc. and you'll see this fact in operation. This Panda Express certainly does cater to low income people. This Panda Express is also a pit. A very S-L-O-W pit to boot. Did I mention the panhandlers who loiter outside the store? There are even some panhandlers who lounge on the Panda Express tables and chairs outside the store. If you don't sit with them outside, you can still spy them from the windows while you sit protectively inside. Of course, you can sit out there amidst the company of the panhandlers while you also inhale the exhaust and enjoy the din from the traffic whizzing by on Olson Drive. Oh yes, there's also the frequent appearance of homeys or gang-bangers drifting around the rear of the store. Never figured out what they were up to. As for the inside of this Panda Express, I have found it common to discover rice strewn about the floor and tables doused with soy sauce. Maybe all the happy eaters before me just couldn't contain their enthusiasm for the low cost chicken, pork and beef. Maybe their joy was at FINALLY getting their food. Who knows. If you like the sort of things that are described above, by all means go to this Panda Express. You'll likely encounter all of the above because going once a week for a couple of months, it was all there, every time. Enjoy! As the rice-doling greeter lady will say to you: "Welcome to Panda." I'll miss you though. No more Panda Express for me. read more
