Though there are signs for parking vs drive thru to try to direct flow, the parking lot layout & drive thru line situation here is set up horribly. That being said, we moved along at a decent pace similar to other busy locations. It took about 8 minutes after entering the line until we could place our order, another 7 minutes to pay, & 3 more minutes to get our food. We ordered 2 Double-Doubles plain, a Cheeseburger plain, a Double-Double with grilled onions & sauce, & 2 orders of Fries extra well done. I always seek a fry with crunch from In-N-Out & request they be "extra well done". I would say these were just a well done level of crisp. Food was assembled & packaged well. The great thing about In-N-Out Burger is consistency. You know what to expect and they typically live up to it. We stopped by in the evening and while there was a line at the drive through, we were able to get a parking spot pretty easily. We placed our orders and found a seat outside while we waited for our food to be ready. Me and my friend stopped by on our way to Tahoe to get lunch and had a delightful experience. The gentleman who took our order, Benjamin was extremely friendly and genuinely welcoming. His customer service was overwhelmingly sweet and considerate. He genuinely has great customer service and a positive hardworking personality. The restaurant was surprisingly clean considering the lunch crowd but Benjamin was very attentive to wiping down tables and catering to customer needs bringing food to tables with care. My friend and I are trying all the different burger places in the surrounding counties. We're doing very in depth reviews to figure out who truly has the best burger. We decided to stop by In-N-Out and give them a rating. Now we've been here many times before and the service is always impeccable. We are making our rating in-depth out of 10, with 5 being standard middle of the road, average. Price: 7.5/10. We spent $29.42 for 2 double double animal style burgers, 2 animal style fries, a pink lemonade, and a chocolate shake. Definitely one of the cheaper places when compared to other fast food burgers. Meat: 6/10. It's a standard fast food patty without too much grease, and was pretty salty. Overall not too bad. Bread: Generic buns, 5/10. Sauce Quality: 10/10. Animal style sauce is iconic and tastes great. There are a ton of copycat recipes for it, but never as good as In-n-Out who created it. Sides: Fresh cut fries that are unseasoned so they can be seasoned yourself. Standard fries we rate a 3/10, but animal style bumped it up to a 9/10. Love animal style fries. Burger Appearance: 5/10, looks like an average burger! Burger integrity. 5.5/10. It stays together decently, but you really need to keep it in that wrapper for it to stay together. Very happy they wrap it. Toppings: 7/10. They're always fresh. We've never had to deal with finding rotten lettuce or old produce on the burgers. The cheese has a weird sort of plastic coagulation to it. But that's expected with American cheese. Grease Factor: 10/10. It's never greasy, however it is a wet burger. The tomato and sauces make it very wet to bite into. I love a drippy burger as long as it isn't drippy from grease. Original Drinks: The milkshake was a little mucus like in terms of texture, but it tasted like a normal chocolate shake. 5/10. The pink lemonade was an 8.5. I absolutely adore that lemonade. 6/10 overall for the drinks. Overall: 7.1/10, with a 5 being average in all aspects. In-N-Out is not perfect, I don't think there is a place that will be, but it's a great choice. read more

Our Rancho Cordova location was thumping tonight! Line out the door, and was less than 10 min wait after you ordered. In n out is always a pleasure. I don't crave it often and after every visit I always ask my self why I don't come here more often?! You're good ol'traditional American hamburger. My go to is a #2 animal style, chopped chiles, a flying Dutch, fries and a cherry coke. And I get to clean up my kids left over fries and shakes(if there's any left). First I'm going to start by saying Riley is an amazing employee and should be given a raise. Preston however needs to be evaluated. I walked in after an event dressed up with four other people. Not only were we not greeted properly he proceeded to ask if we knew someone from the event. He also asked if we were affiliated with the event and was rude and said he needed to know if there is going to be a rush. Sir there is four of us 20 min away from the event took place no one else is coming. It's unprofessional and rude to be asking about customers where about and treating them rudely. This cashier needs to be trained on proper customer service and learn how to talk to any customer properly. read more

This is one of the better In-N-Out Burgers in the Sacramento area-- and, I'm from Southern California, so, you can trust my opinion on this. I LOVE In N Out. My favorite location is the one in Vegas, followed by the one in my hometown, Barstow. The one in Folsom? Terrible. I would never. (I actually went there with a friend a few weeks ago, and had to make up for it by going to the "good" In N Out-- this one.) My standard order is a double double, animal style, both kinds of onions, extra tomatoes. That's about as much as I can eat at once, but, sometimes, instead of a burger, I'll get the animal fries with a Neapolitan shake. When I get a burger, I like to grab a souffle cup or two of hot peppers on the side. I'm sure they would be good on the burger, but I usually just snack on them in between bites. When I'm on my way home from a long hike, I'll sometimes order the pink lemonade. It's so basic, but so good, and so refreshing after a long day in the sun. I've been coming to this location since I was in high school, and have had mostly great experiences. It's worth the drive from Folsom, because our In N Out is just not as good. This particular location messed up on this visit in a couple ways. First, I asked for fries well done. That did not happen. Second, a handful of cold sauce packets were dropped on top of my undercooked fries. So, by the time I made the 25 minute trip home, those fries were quite cold. I don't know that ever, in my entire life, have I walked away from a restaurant more disappointed than I just walked away from this place. I pulled into the parking lot at 12:05 PM on a Friday, very hungry and with a gift card from In-N-Out Burger in my pocket... 40 minutes later, I pulled out of the parking lot still hungry, having not eaten a single bite of food, and in possession of no food, but with the original value of the gift card in my pocket in cash (because this place is an absolute clown show.) As always the drive-through line was a complete cluster-F when I pulled in so I decided to park and go inside. Standard order, nothing crazy... my order is 25 numbers away from the current number thats being called when I sit down on the bench... while not exactly fast, It was also not exactly a slow process as they worked through passing out the orders... I was number 20,, they start calling out orders in the mid 20s, but I'm patient because the numbers are not always called out in a linear fashion. Having spent a very long time working in the food industry myself, I understand why this occurs as different orders can be prepared at different rates of speed... nonetheless it's frustrating to see what appears to be the ingredients that could've been used to make my order being passed out to other customers who came into the restaurant after I ordered. Nonetheless, I remain patient but when the numbers for the orders got into the low 40s, I approach the counter and ask them to check on my order... the staff was dumbfounded as they had no idea where my order was or what happened to it. The worker get the manager who goes towards the back of the grill to check on my order and she's back there for two or three minutes... I assumed that she was back there, pulling the next available patties off the grill and using the next available buns, to pair with the next available fry's, to make my food, nope,, instead she comes out and tells me that they just started cooking it. That is absolutely ridiculous, but even more ridiculous as how the situation was then handled from there... these goofs offer me a free drink for my troubles... I had a drink in my hand...what a joke... how do you not offer to comp my meal? I had to ask for my money back...and walked out with no food. What an absolute joke. "Quality you can taste" is only tasted if the workers actually make your order. I will never return to this sorry ass establishment. I was even looking into bringing a youth group here on a field trip but what in the world with those kids learn from you guys about responsibility and doing your job.. perhaps your workers should be the ones to take a field trip...they can visit one of the other in and out in the area that doesn't have these problems on a consistent basis. The final slap in the face is me pulling out of the parking lot and watching customers that came into your store 20 minutes after me walk out with bags of food... then I'm sitting at the light, angry and hungry, and the car next to me is eating his burger... again he came in the store 20 minutes after I did... the worst experience I've ever had in a restaurant. Solid fast food and service from the king of the west coast. I love their burgers - nice and fresh veggies - and the beef is 100% real beef. Good stuff. Great consistency on how everything is made too. I hit during a really busy time which was probably a mistake... young kids running around being young kids (loud young kids). I manage that kind of thing fairly well, but it's still distracting and takes away from the feast. I got my usual, double-double animal style without pickles. Burger was spot-on. I ordered the fires light-well and I don't think that happened because the girl doing the fries seemed overwhelmed. I left my soda and a cup of ketchup at my table and when I came back from getting my order, it was gone - lol - the guy cleaning the tables in the dining room was a little overzealous! We frequent this location about twice a month, always asking for a dairy allergy burgers and fries. I truly believe the kitchen understands allergies and does their best to keep my kiddo safe. There have been times that the hamburger I order (with cheese) ends up in the same box as my kiddos. Obviously, there is a cross contamination worry with this, most of the time my daughter's food comes in its own box, but maybe a bit more team training on allergies could help?
