Rude staff, always out of everything and they don't give you the option to wait for more. We were so flustered trying to repick our meal quickly we totally forgot to get our drinks. When we asked at the window to add them she sharply snapped "no. We don't add things at the window." I thought it was because ADDING was the problem so I asked if we could just pay for it in a separate order and she snapped NO. the food was terrible. They brought back online ordering. This has to be the worst place to order online. The past two times we ordered, my wife and I had to wait at least 25 minutes once we arrived for pickup. They didn't have the food we had ordered prepared. The manager here is nowhere to be found when we complained. I am writing corporate and letting them know how terrible our experiences have been, since writing the store directly gets us no response. So my wife just returned home with our order. The Kung Pao chicken had 2 tiny pieces of diced chicken in it and 23 chunks of zucchini, yes I counted. For the second time in a row we ordered soy sauce and chili sauce when placing our order, and received none. I am fed up with this location. read more

A good place to get simple, chain store type Chinese food. There are times the wait staff can be a bit slow, but the food is generally fresh and not sitting around in the steamer pan and under the lights for a long period of time. Of cours it does not beat the personal touch of a sit down Chinese restaurant, but if your looking for something quick and have a craving for asian food, then Panda Express will satisfy your needs. This store is CONSTANTLY running out of food. They ignore in-store customers in favor of the drive thru making the in-store people having to wait for more food to be cooked. They don't even acknowledge customers are waiting. They are rude and unfriendly. This happened the last 3 times I went there. I sent the feedback below directly to their corporate office. I decided to post on yelp (which i almost never do) because of the highly negative experience i had. I happned to take a look at some of the reviews on the Round Lake location and it looks like alot of customers experienced the same thing i did. STAY AWAY until they correct this tyrant of an employee that thinks she owns the building. I will repost when I hear back from the company. Post up if you had the same issue with your visit. (Corporate Complaint i filed) This is the second time i had this negative experience at the Rollins Road location in Round Lake Beach IL. Both times, the lobby doors were locked and there were no signs posted stating the lobby was closed. I proceeded to knock on the door and was ignored by a staff member inside that clearly saw and heard me. a few minutes later the new manager, Quin happened to be starting his shift and was also surprised that the front and side doors were closed. He wasnt sure why they were closed. I proceeded inside with Quin and found out the name of your asscociate that refused to acknowledge me when i was knocking on the door. Its name is Jazmine. She is the the same person that i dealt with several weeks before on the same issue. She exclaimed then that they were short staffed and had to close the lobby. This is costing your business money as it caused a bottleneck in service. In the meantime there were numerous cars waiting to be served. She said she would post a sign for next time and of course she didnt and thus here we are. Her attitude was very very very poor. She remarked that it was her store and that she was going to do what she wanted regardless of the customer. Her attitude oozed selfishness, no empathy for the customer and narcissistic behavior. She obviously cares only for herself and I'd be very interested to hear how her peers view her as well. Because of this second incident and Jazmin's attitude, we will not be patronizing any panda expresses and we will be telling others of our experience. read more

Went to panda at 11. The signs on the windows and doors said they opened at 10:30. When I got to the speaker to order I sat there for a good 5 minutes and nobody said anything to me. I went to the window and the girl that was working gave me a ton of attitude and said "we aren't open yet!" And she explained that everyone got there late and they had no food, but she was sitting on her ass doing nothing. Unfortunately we live very close to the Round Lake location, so when our kid asks for Panda Express, this one is closest to home. I can not count the times we order Teriyaki Chicken for him and guess what... THERE'S NO TERIYAKI SAUCE IN THE BAG! How do you serve Teriyaki Chicken with no sauce!? It's just grilled chicken at that point. We ordered it again tonight, and if we didn't ask for the sauce when we picked up our order, he wouldn't have gotten teriyaki sauce. Not to mention that this location seems to always be out of food. Today, before 8pm, NO sweet fire chicken, NO honey walnut shrimp, NO Beijing beef. I think we will have to start taking the time to drive to gurnee. Not sure if it's the staff or the management that's the problem. To top it off, their drive through is VERY SLOW. I just walked out of the store. There were about five people working. Three of them were filling orders, two in the kitchen, and one person at the drive-through window. I waited patiently as a girl asked if she could take my order. I said I wanted super greens and we'll wait for fresh ones she did that and called it back to the kitchen. When they were ready, I told another worker that they were ready and asked if she could take my order she said hold on. Then another guy came up, and I asked if I could order.... He also asked me to wait. Then the original girl came back, and asked if I was ready to order. Then the guy stopped her and told her to fill a different order! I watched three people scoop out the super greens I've been waiting for all while I stood there waiting patiently for someone to take my order. As they emptied the bowl I decided this was not worth my time and the universe was telling me to just go home. I would not recommend Driving out to a store just to be ignored. This panda express normally fits my expectations but these past few days it has not. I went through the drive through and had ordered 3 orders of crab rangoon's (witch is 9 rangoons in total). They told us that we would have to wait a few minutes in the parking lot because the rangoons are not done. So we waited and when we got home we had noticed there was only 2 bags of rangoons. We called to let them know and they let us have 2 free orders of rangoons the next time we ordered. when we tried the next day. They would not answer the phone to give us the rangoons! read more

Waited five more minutes and then said "did you forget about me waiting?". Response : "oh, how can I help you?". I pull to the window, Quincy took my payment, walked over to box up my two orders of rangoons, set it down and then started doing something else for five minutes. Never have I had such issues with a chinese restaurant before in my entire life. Whether I'm going through drive-thru or taking or dining out, I always find myself having an issue with something at this Panda Express. I have been here countless number of times but I am never returning. I wait in the drive-thru for 5-10 minutes (no joke, no exaggeration), food is always dry and over-cooked, the service is always awful and the employees working here are not friendly in any way. The young man that works the drive-thru on late nights is always miserable and disrespectful as ever and doesn't seem to care about anyone but himself. He doesn't rush at doing anything and he doesn't seem to have an issue with making his customers wait. I have never had any better than a bad experience when I did come to eat at this Panda Express because there is always something wrong. Prices aren't at all that great, food is dry and over-cooked and not to mention, the variety, it's very limited. The rice particularly is stale and hard every time I do decide to get rice and when I get the chow mien, it's greasier than non other. I do not recommend you come here.. I have been going elsewhere for chinese food (there are a ton of better places close by) that is better in price and quality. I just don't think this place is worth wasting your time or money. 28 minutes. That's how long it takes to get food here. The food itself takes only 3 minutes to assemble and cook, mind you, so it's a pretty amazing feat to extend the time of order to service to nearly a half an hour, but they managed to do it. When asked why it takes 28 minutes to be served food here, the manager stated "we're busy". Not "Sorry, we're busy" or anything resembling an apology. Just "we're busy". If they can't apologize or justify why it takes 28 minutes to get food, I can't justify ever going there again. read more

As Panda Express goes, the food is always what it is, great for fast food...hence the 2 stars, not one. That's where the good ends. They have drive-through service, which is slower than any other drive-through I have ever been in. It would probably be faster if I went into the restaurant and cook the food myself. I have never pulled up to the drive-through and not been asked to wait a few minutes by someone with very few manners. I have come 30 minutes before the restaurant closes to be told they will not make more orange chicken for me. I have gotten all the way home and had completely incorrect food only to have to turn around and drive all the way back and not even be offered a coupon for next time. I have dealt with both managers and regular employees who act like I am wasting their time. They almost never have all of the food items I want to order ready and are never apologetic. I have never EVER in my life given a one star review to a food place, and i genuinely never thought this day would come. but i placed a mobile order on 1/6/21 at 3:45ish about 30 minute prior to arrival. i got to the store and they said they had no order with my name on it. they asked for my last name and then somehow found a sticker for it. the food wasn't even ready which kind of defeats the entire purpose of a mobile order. plus you had to wait in line with everyone else that was ordering to even pick your order up, unlike most where they have it sitting off on the side for you to just grab. they made me food and said they were "out of white rice" and they were just going to give me fried rice (which i don't care for). i told them i didn't care for the fried rice and then they magically found some white rice. huh. funny how that works isn't it? the cashier said sorry and handed me my food and i left. i get home and before even taking a bite out of my food, i open it to a barely 3/4 full container. SERIOUSLY?!?!? not cool. i start eating and find multiple pieces of MUSHROOMS and ONIONS in my food, which shouldn't have any mushrooms or onions. it's orange chicken, white rice, and super greens. they also didn't provide plastic ware which literally every other panda express does. oh, and the parking lot is a hot mess but that's not the employees fault, just another flaw in this trash restaurant. save yourself the time, money, and random bits of food by going to the gurnee location. I always have a pleasant time coming here. The staff has always been friendly and super on point. The food has never tasted bad to me. The staff is always fast and nice when serving me. I love the orange chicken, chow mein and honey walnut shrimp. It's a little pricey but it's not bad for quick Chinese food. However it is Americanized Chinese so don't come here expecting it to taste super authentic. The place is always clean too. read more

If I could give 0 stars I would. Lied to my face and said they had no lo mein while in the drive thru. I had two friends on the inside of the restaurant and they were able to get it literally at the exact same time ...? Service was awful everyone was rude oh AND I forgot I waited in the drive thru for an HOUR. I don't mind waiting in line but when service is that bad it felt like a waste of my time. When I pulled up to pay a woman was standing at the window she told me they didn't have ANOTHER thing that I ordered. They often forget things you ordered, they forget sauces, silverware and I'm SURE much much more. Get better employees so your business doesn't suffer like it clearly already is!! read more
