I Just had the worst customer service I've had yet as the two girls behind the counter Daniela & Teresa clearly as something going on between the two of them. For 5 to 10 minutes we stood in line as they both ignored us and where waiting for the other to go help the customers... finally Daniela came over and started helping customers because Teresa clearly was not going to. Neither girl spoke at all, when I got to the register l, Teresa put my food in a bag, took my money, handed me my bag and walked off. I walked out like WTH was that...When I got home there was nothing else in the bag, no plastic silverware, no napkins, no chopsticks I asked for, no Coke I paid for. My wife and I recently ordered take out from panda express. My wife has had food poisoning for the last 4 days. Beware!!!

This Panda is really hit and miss. I go here pretty regularly, and I avoid it at certain times. Oddly, it's best to go when they are busy because when they aren't busy, the food lies around a long time and gets stale. When they are busy, the chances are better a fresh batch just came out, or will be out soon as the food gets scooped up quickly. I think they have high turnover, just because employees don't seem too well trained due to occasional issues like: 1. Employees are unfamiliar with different coupons or vouchers and insist that all vouchers have the same rules (they don't, and in fact the corporate office sent me vouchers to apologize for the employees refusing to honor a voucher I had tried to legitimately use without making an additional purchase.) 2. Improperly cooked food: (the veggies were old and soggy/sad, so they rushed a new batch out. I was impressed how fast they did it, until I got home and realized the veggies were practically cold they were so raw.) More often, though, about 90% of the time, the food is hot, fresh, and the employees are friendly and competent. It's just a shame it's not as consistent, as I consistently pay the same price each time. read more

I've been to this location many times and the selections are always empty and they need to cook them to fulfill an order. Tonight we went and ordered Beef and Broccoli and Teriyaki Chicken. This place is really hit or miss. They have messed up our order multiple times with the cream cheese rangoons. They give us a small order when we ask for a large. It's a huge price difference. The chow mein and the fried rice have also been hit or miss by not being fully cooked or having hard pieces. The orange chicken seems to be either super hard or super soft. I think it's the quality of the chicken being a cheaper cut as it doesn't hold the batter onto the chicken as well as it used too. Worst Panda Ever! They open at 11:00AM but literally never have any food made, and have one person working. A huge line forms and then they are struggling to serve customers. So at the end of the day, you wait in line for 20 minutes, have 4 selections to choose from, and then they ration your servings. Like any other Panda Express place here in Santa Barbara, serving surprisingly good quality Chinese food in a fast period of time. I'd definitely recommend checking this place out if you wanna try some GOOD chow mein and orange chicken. I ate here in Paseo Nuveo last night with a friend at around 8:30ish, and oh god, this was the longest time I've ever had to wait in Panda to order my food. The service was nice, don't get me wrong... but they only had one person helping the customers out, having the line go out the door and making all of us wait at least 15 minutes to order our food. The food was also limited at the time, having most of the containers empty, and I wasn't able to get the dishes I usually got. Like I understand it's 8:30, you guys close up in 30 minutes and are tired, but you guys close at 9, not 8:30... I will admit, that one employee was able to work very very well under all that pressure and manage to get our food ready to go after we had ordered it. Overall, a good place to eat but I recommend not eating at this location at night. read more

Panda Express is kinda tucked into the back end of the Paseo Nuevo shopping center. For those of you who know the area; it's down from Teavana where the elevator to the museum and the restrooms are. The family and I have eaten 2-3 times here when we wanted familiar cuisine at a familiar price. It's not anything special as far as Chinese Food is concerned; but the portions are usually decent (even with the Shrimp!), and the quality is usually good. Nothing special...but good. The service is usually also friendly, which is always a plus. There's not much else to say about this location, as we pretty much all know what Panda Express is all about. When you want something filling that will taste good at a decent price in Santa Barbara, finding this little spot in the back of Paseo Nuevo will do quite nicely. read more

Skimpy Ass Portion Sizes!! So me and my family are taking a road trip and we didn't eat before we left home in the morning so of course we're starving. We just wanted to stop to get a quick meal to eat in the car. Some fast food that isn't too unhealthy, so we stop at Panda. Our usual go to spot where we live. We normally like to get their new pacific chili shrimp and honey walnut shrimp. Super delicious, but they are premium items which makes them $1.25 more I believe. This guy literally gave me 5 to 6 shrimp for each of my entrees.... Honestly, maybe less, there were so many vegetables (which I don't necessarily mind) but there was hardly any shrimp!! As much money as this business makes, plus the extra $1.25 we pay for those items. It's unbelievable how little portions they give. And I asked him if he could put some more shrimp and he only put one. Smh. Never going here again. read more

Literally worst service ever, I mean what do you expect from fast food. They all seem like they don't wanna be here, but who would? Didn't fill my bowl even half way? Decided not to say anything because I can never complain. I set my things down and went to the cashier because I didn't have enough hands to carry a water cup. I stood to the side and when I politely said, "when you have the chance can I get-" and OLGA SAID, "I'm busy." AND CONTINUED TO IGNORE ME FOR 10 MINUTES.
