At first we thought it was a mirage, but it truly was an oasis in the desert: a brand new panda express.

Lowering the rating down to 3. Recently have had issues. First ordered the Shanghai Beef which the menu says comes with asparagus. Yucca Valley apparently thinks green beans are the same. Complained to corporate, good for $10 gift card. Two days later the same thing PLUS meat uncooked. At minimum got refund. Side portions are getting smaller too. I don't know if now they are established they have cut the staff or sales are dropping and so are the portions. They really need to get it together. read more

Very consistent! Unfortunately it's consistently bad! I've given this particular Panda 2 or 3 or 5 too many chances to get it together, but they just can't seem to get it right. They either mess up the order and try to charge you to correct their mistakes or just leave out items you paid for. Tried my luck there for the last time tonight, only to once again find a mistake with my order and watch the employees run around like chickens with their heads cut off only to reach the conclusion that they needed to charge me more to fix it. I asked the girl several times are you going to put that burnt chicken in my order? She did... I ask her again you're really not going to serve me that chicken that is burned up black that you can't cut through. Panda Express tasted just like panda express everywhere else. HOWEVER, this one was the best panda express I've ever been to and the experience was phenomenal. My friend and I was so shocked at how great their customer service was, we would never expect it from a fast food place. They were very nice, made sure we had enough for our entrees and even checked up on us at our table. Ha! what service!! I'm still so dumbfounded on how great the experience at a panda express was! And to top it all off this location has a tea bar and DRIVE THRU. WTF?! how awesome! read more

About every other time I go to Panda something is amiss; they are out of something, receive the wrong something, horrible something. Today the Teriyaki Chicken was literally the scraps!! Only 2 decent pieces of chicken, the rest were horrible burnt scraps. VERY DISAPPOINTING! Wonder WHEN they will ever get it right! read more

Customer service has always been great, but their food is very American. Definitely not my favorite Chinese restaurant in town. Their steak tastes fake, their noodles are too thin. All in all a very sub par meal. read more

worst panda express ever. tried this one for the third and final time. it has no relationship to the good quality of other pandas. i eat once a week at the irvine branch -which is always excellant and fresh with extra courteous employees. even the 2 palm desert braches are better- which is quite sad. today i got the kung pao chicken bowl as usual. the zuccini was mushy/ the rice was burnt and the chicken has to be the lowest grade of gristly chicken and only 5 little pieces too boot!. to top that the scambled eggs were more like dry cardboard.......please fire the cook and manager for putting this sub standard garbage out. and send the entire crew to the irvine store on baranca for training. after 4 bites we threw our lunches away/ $12.00 wasted....good thing theres an arbys and del taco across the street read more

Prepaid an order for Panda Express and tried to enter a code for a free entree' online. Software did not allow me to enter the code. When we picked up the order, we were told that they could not honor the code on prepaid items. Aggravating! I called the customer assistance phone number and the representative took my information and is sending me a $10.00 voucher. I appreciate their understanding and making it right with a voucher for another meal. read more

Don't eat here! One of the managers has skin disease on her arms. She told me she has psoriasis. It's red and scaly all over her arms. She's serving customers! It freaks me out! This is my second time eating at this location and as far as the food goes it's great. Now for customer service is great as well. Now let's get to why I'm giving it 1 star. There is an employee there named Ashley that is so robotic that she goes through her whole spill and doesn't even listen to your order. I always eat a Panda Express and know what I want. As soon as it's my time to order I know exactly what I want. I say give me half and half with beef broccoli / orang chicken. She says what hi welcome to panda what can I start you with. I repeat my order and then does the half and half. Right after that ask what sides, once again I repeat my order. I order egg rolls on the side. When I get to the register I ask if I can get a tea. She ask me if I'd like something to drink and I repeat tea. She ask if I would like to order a tea and I repeat yes. Now up to now I've had to repeat my self repeatedly but everything is moving along and ok so far. She tells me my total and I hand her my debit card. She asked to see ID and I show it to her with my wallet which has a window with my ID. She asked me to take it out and began to study it for about 3min or so looking for all the security features. I looked at her like really and got a little upset and showed her my US passport for extra prof it was me. As soon as I was done two woman of the same race were next and she didn't ask them to take out their IDs. It made me feel like I was racially profiled and will no longer eat there. read more

My family and I love Panda Express but this was the worst Panda Express visit we have had. The drive thru screwed up... We ordered a few things one of which was an orange chicken bowl the drive thru employee read it back to us and it WAS on there. We get home it's not on the receipt and it's not in the bag. Then we pull out an order of fried rice we got for our son. It was open and poured all over the bag making s gigantic mess! Thanks for wasting my money jerks!! read more

great stop to & from the river. we use to stop at tastee freeze in 29 palms but were getting old & watching what we eat.

My wife and I are big panda fans and have eaten at this location once with no problem, but this time we had some issues. We got there at around 1030 which is pretty early so we figured the food would all be fresh, but it didn't taste like that at all. The chow mein was really dry and just tasted old. Same with the orange chicken. Pretty sure it was leftovers from the night before. read more

I ordered online, and the food was ready at the time they said it would be ready. Which is one good thing I can say. But the food we got was awful. Which is super disappointing considering Panda Express is one of my favorite fast food places. The food we got was all dry. You could tell it had been sitting there forever. I don't recommend anyone to make an online order. I feel like there thought process is sweet now we can get rid of all our old food since the customer won't be here when I box it up. The chow mein seemed like it was made of plastic you would chew and chew and it wouldn't break down. The Orange chicken was rubbery and super hard to chew. The biggest shocker of all, was how the managed to make the mushroom chicken dry. That dish is sitting in sauce, but the chicken was cut tiny and was over cooked and the sauce didn't help the situation. The only good thing we got was teriyaki chicken that my mom got. It's a bummer that even though I have Panda Express in my home town I will have to go to one out of town if I want to actually enjoy it. read more

Every time I go there their trays are never full always a three-minute to five minute wait for your food by the time you pay for your food and sit down it's cold from the wait in the line the one in casino Palm springs and casino morongo is great yucca valley needs to get their act togetherand it's pretty pathetic when they sit there and count the shrimp and meet that they put on there I would be surprised if they start counting the grains of rice next read more

I haven't been to this Panda at all till yesterday and was very disappointed. I ordered the broccoli beef and teriyaki chicken and chow mein noodles... I get all the way home to twentynine palms and get my food ready and it was horrible. The broccoli beef had one piece of meat and the chicken was so dry even with the teriyaki sauce the noodles were so hard and dry and just nasty. I don't think I'll ever go back and that's sad because of the few places to eat in that town. read more

I L-O-V-E Panda Express! When I travel this is my go-to place if it's available where ever I end up traveling. The chow mein and orange chicken are at my TOP list! As for this particular Panda... I've been to better ones with better seating arrangements. The tea bar is nice and I come here probably more often than I should. Love the food! read more

Love the Orange chicken!!! The premises is always spotless. The service is fast and friendly. The only negative thing I have seen are the many self-indulgent, arrogant a**holes who make mountains out of molehills and terrorize the kids working there all in an effort to get a free meal. Really people. This place is fantastic and the people working there are excellent!! If you can't or don't want to pay for your meal, don't fabricate an issue and make a scene. I have always loved Panda Express in various cities that I have resided in. Being excited about the Panda Express in Yucca Valley was just the start of it; the restaurant is less than one mile from my home so I for saw my future of always having great fast food at my fingertips. Come to find out the excitement diminished quickly from the first encounter with a Panda Express employee whom took our order at the drive through window. The staff is new and untrained in the items they sale which makes ordering process frustrating. They take your order and push you out the door as fast as possible. The staff possess little to none customer service skills and simply do not care about the service they provide. It is difficult to trust a staff as such, as I wonder; are they making my food correctly? Are they abiding by proper cleanliness regulations? If they cannot/do not have the decency to have or fake a smile on their face and take one whole minute to read the order back properly to you; what make a person assume they would do the rest of their job correctly? Or to assume these type of people would not steal credit/debit card information? I blame the management. When I received such poor service and the wrong order my first and only trip to this establishment; I went inside and spoke with one of the shift managers. She was no different from the employees, possessed no customer service etiquette and returned my order, made incorrectly again, did not apologize once. Even if I was wrong....a skilled person in a management position knows "the customer is ALWAYS right". If management does not have decent training how can we expect the employees to? I will never go to this establishment again and will continue to tell my story about the rude employees and poor management it possess. If you do visit Panda Express in Yucca Valley, arrive with low expectations of the food quality and customer service. Also, I would recommend paying with cash. read more
