Yes, imagine going all the way to Joshua Tree national park, and you see this random Panda Express here. This place was really good for several reasons. 1) the counter was stocked with food at around 6pm. Every dish was loaded. Looked freshly cooked. 2) lots of available parking and lots of available seating areas. 3) staff was friendly, perhaps one of the happier staff at a PE I've been to. 4) bathroom was spotless, and tables and counters cleaned by staff frequently. I got there and no one was working other than the cook and drive thru. No customers inside at all. My order had not even been started. I had to wait almost half an hour before it was finally ready. The guy directly ahead of us was really nice or really smart- he let us go ahead of him.l, and He ended up getting his food before we did!! I'm not sure what a fair review is for this establishment. The waiting time in the drive-through was not long and the staff was beyond friendly. Our family size order was prepared quickly and everything tasted very good. My only qualm with this experience is that the beef and broccoli I ordered had less than an ounce of beef in it. I counted the very small bite sizes and had a total of five. If I had to give a comparison to the size of the beef slices a nickel would be an appropriate comparison. I ordered the Black Peoper Angus steak bowl. As you can see I got it via drive thru (through, for you grammar-nazis). As you can see the drive-thru Panda kit comes with everything you need to successfully feed your face; a main dish, fortune cookie, fork, napkin and complementary soy sauce. First, the meat and vegetables are real and are much better quality than I expected from the fast food genre. Also it didn't have a bunch of filler mushrooms to take the place of the steak. That is great because holy shitaki, I hate mushrooms! I got the steamed rice, which seems to be an instant rice. Thankfully it was all moist, no dehydrated crunchy pieces. The bowl was probably 60% rice, so if you want more flavor I'd get the fried rice or chow mein. The fortune cookie provided sound windows (see the photo). Over I'd recommend stopping by with some friends or someone you've been dating for at least 6 months. read more

Mixed veggies instead of noodles was too much for their system of 2-3 cooks. The person I ordered from yelled to the cook to cook veggies and customer waiting. After 15 minutes I went back and said give me rice instead. So much for eating more veggies. There was 1 person paying ahead of me so it wasn't busy. It wasn't just me being hangry behind a big crowd of orders. Also they didn't give me my drink cup after paying. I didn't say anything getting my food. So they missed 2 chances to give me the cup. I had to remind them...make the prices lower if I have to think more than the staff are about cooking my food and giving me a cup. Not the case here the Employees were Awesome, friendly, and super helpful! We got a family meal and most of our order was made fresh because they were out. 4/13/24 4:30pm. We are weekenders in Parker az. Frequent Orange County to Parker every few weekends and take Joshua tree route to stop with the kids for food. Hardly any of the items were avail or ready and it wasn't even crowded. Had to wait a bit as well as others. The entire crew is very rowdy, extremely loud shouting and all young looking. Many of them shouting and joking with each other, cussing very loudly. One guy was playfully arguing with his buddy and kept saying "that's bullsh*t" to whatever they were talking about. They call the customers "boss" which is strange. Kept hearing them drop cooking utensils on the ground. Dear Manager of Panda Express Yucca Valley. Your employee(s) needs a few lessons in Customer Service. From the moment we drove up to the point of receiving our order was an absolute joke & unbelievable. First of all, when we drove up, no one was in drive thru.... including the Panda express worker that is supposed to take orders. After 3 min, someone came on & said "he" would be right with us. He was. 90 sec later. In a drive thru??? Really? When we drove up to pay & get our order it was another 4 full min for anyone to open the window & ask for payment. Then the Panda worker handed us our order with no comment afterwards......no thank you, no "do you need sauce packets" ...NOTHING. When we attempted to ask for packets he had already shut his window!!! OMG, I was fuming. We had spent $40 plus dollars & this is the service you condone? We sat there until he opened window again & he reluctantly gave us a very minimal amount to use on the very large amount of food we paid for. He was not pleasant nor was he helpful.
