The chicken was tender, that's all it has going for it. We ordered general tso and orange chicken dinners and a wonton soup. The egg roll was not edible, the plum sauce that came with the meals for the egg roll smelled and looked like vinegar. The orange chicken had almost no sauce on it and no flavor to it. The general tso was sauced well but no spice or flavor at all. The fried rice was tasteless. The wonton soup wasn't wonton soup, it was a vegetable soup with a couple wontons and some floating meat chunks. Definitely won't be back. And only gave 2 stars because the chicken was pretty tender and not over cooked like a lot of places are. read more

Just ok. Very nice people but the food was quite bland. I ordered Szechuan shrimp & my wife ordered chicken lo mein. Neither was what we have gotten elsewhere. Did I mention bland? Not expected - especially for Szechuan anything. On the bright side, egg rolls were really good. read more

I Was hired to take a few pictures of some of their menu items. I also had a chance to eat the pepper steak and General Tso's chicken, wonton soup and the egg drop soup and the chicken egg rolls. (not is one sitting). Delicious!! As you can see from the photos. The food is fresh and tastes as good as it looks! Owner Yung has had this business since 2018 and has been a Waterford Michigan resident for 20 years. He learned how to cook from mainland China and his wife is his partner in the business. They are busy so when you order, allow enough time. The food is worth the wait. I highly recommend Panda Garden. You will not be disappointed. read more

Pretty darn good! I got shrimp egg foo young and it's a huge portion for $8 or $9. It did not come with an egg roll but that's fine with me (not a huge fan of egg rolls in general so no desire to try theirs). I also ordered something called Dragon & Phoenix - an awesome combination of one-half General Tsos and one- half shrimp with garlic sauce. The chicken was all white meat and large chunks so it did not get drowned out with breading. I did not know that the shrimp with garlic sauce would have green pepper in it so that was kind of a bummer but I swiftly removed it so did not leave too much green pepper taste to it. Sorry about the pictures. I didn't think about taking them until after I had chowed down! This was my first time here and definitely won't be my last. read more

This place has the best Crab Rangoon with sauce that I've ever had! I also had the Almond Chicken combo and the chicken was so good with their gravy. Upgraded the fried rice on the combo to add shrimp, but the rice was lack luster in flavor. I kept this to add some special touches to and eat later though so not a loss. My husband shared the Rangoon with me, and he ordered the Orange chicken combo hot and spicy. It wasn't spicy enough but it was tasty. We will definitely order from here again. read more

Let me preface this with saying this is a takeout Chinese restaurant. So for what it is, it is five stars for sure! Just got some crab Rangoon and sesame chicken. Delicious! The crab rangoon was not greasy at all and had a good mix of crab to cream cheese. The sesame chicken is what stood out the most to me. Truly terrible! I have never left such a negative review, but I thought I better warn people. I got the sweet and sour pork, which consisted of blobs of battered pork with a plain thick and glutinous orange coloured sauce. I also got mixed vegetables which was basically broccoli with a couple of water chestnuts and carrot shreds thrown in. I can't understand how this place is still in business. read more

If I could give no stars I would. I ordered General Tsos Chicken with fried rice and Crab Rangoon. It was awful. So horrendously bad. I couldn't finish it. I also ordered a bottle of coke- I got 2 cans of Pepsi. It wasn't seasoned AT ALL. Flavorless. The egg roll that came with it- tasted rancid and the fried rice had nothing in it at all. I have to say that all of the Chinese restaurants here in Michigan are terrible? I'm originally from Virginia and always got great quality food even in the hole in the wall joints. This is probably going to be my new go-to place for takeout. Ordered wonton soup, shrimp and broccoli, and Pad Thai. The food was hot and fresh. The generous chunks of chicken in the pad thai are a step up from places that give you tiny strips of chicken. The portions are very generous, and I did not have to wait for the order. This place is clean and the lady at the counter is very nice. I plan on coming here the next time we get Chinese food. read more

I have been searching and searching for a semi decent Chinese food place in or around Waterford since I moved here a year ago, and FINALLY we have Panda Garden! While I wouldn't say they are the most amazing Chinese food I've ever had, they're pretty darn close. I've gotten their crab rangoons, egg drop soup, egg rolls, fried rice, orange chicken, and sweet and sour chicken. Everything except for the orange chicken was really good. The reason the orange chicken wasn't that great is because I watched them make it and they make their orange sauce with sunny d. So needless to say, the orange chicken is extremely mild in every way and I underwhelming. As for the sweet and sour chicken, I've never had better sweet and sour sauce! You can tell they put a lot of love and work into that sauce. It has depth and a flavor that just makes me so happy! However, if you want the peppers, onions, and pineapple, you have to ask for them as it doesn't come with any of that. The plain fried rice doesn't have any veggies in it, like your usually fried rice, but it's still very good. Same goes for the crab rangoons, egg roll, and egg drop soup. Ordered delivery. Egg drop soup was a shade of yellow I had never seen before . Didn't even try it. Poured it down the sink. Crab Rangoon was greasy and mostly a fried cream cheese. Tried two and tossed the rest out. Shrimp Rangoon was mostly noodles that were chewy. Ate the couple veggies that were in it as well as the shrimp and then also tossed it. Kind of disappointed after reading the rave reviews. Ordered the Mongolian Chicken and boyfriend got the Sesame Chicken with Chicken Fried Rice. My Mongolian Chicken was in a delicious sauce, but was 75% onions, and the chicken in it tasted like it was frozen and poorly thawed out. Boyfriend wasn't a fan of the sauce on the Sesame Chicken, and he couldn't even eat the chicken in his fried rice as it tasted "spongey" (again, as if it was frozen for a long time). We really wanted to like this place but were disappointed. Thankfully, their prices are very reasonable so we didn't lost out on too much $$. Maybe it was just an off day, but I don't think we'll be back. read more

Very good food some of the best Chinese I've ever had. The prices are very reasonable and the portions are huge. The crab ragons are hands down the best I've had. We ordered a verity of foods and everything was outstanding. Some others have posted this is a carry out only type place. But they did have some nice seating and a very nice clean dining environment.
