Some of the best Chinese I have had in a long time!! I've been looking for a while some good Chinese and I'm glad I seen this one GH. I ordered sweet and sour chicken and some shrimp fried rice. Best shrimp fried rice ever on this side of town so far. They had big pieces of shrimp in there and they also deveined them. The sweet and sour chicken was good. They don't over batter the chicken so it's not too big and there is a good amount of chicken in there. I enjoyed it a lot. Nice portion sizes also. We had enough for leftovers. For the prices it wasn't bad at all. Most definitely will return here for food especially for it to be on GH. read more

I was at a buddy's place in Bloomfield Township and craving some Chinese food, so I jumped on Google Maps and found China Jade. The reviews looked great, and one of them mentioned that while the outside doesn't look like much, the inside is a totally different story. That turned out to be 100% true--this place is really nice inside and looks recently remodeled. They even have a bar area with a TV and another TV visible from the dining area, which gave it a cool vibe. When we walked in, a lady at the bar welcomed us and told us to sit wherever we liked. Our server (I think her name was Soon-Yi, apologies if I got it wrong) was wonderful--super friendly, attentive, and kept our drinks filled the entire time. Service was quick and spot on. I ordered the #9 sweet and sour chicken, which came with wonton soup, an egg roll, and fried rice. The wonton soup came out first and was delicious, followed by a crispy, flavorful egg roll. Then the entrée arrived--huge portions and really great-tasting food. Everything was fresh, hot, and full of flavor. All around, this place is amazing. 1 Star - Christmas Dinner Ruined, Zero Accountability We placed a $459 DoorDash order at 10:00 AM on Christmas Day for a 5:30 PM delivery, which this restaurant explicitly accepted hours in advance. This was meant to be Christmas dinner for 16 people. At 5:00 PM, the app showed that China Jade was actively preparing our order. Then--15 minutes later--they abruptly canceled the entire order. No warning. No explanation. No alternative offered. We spent the next several minutes calling the restaurant over and over. No one answered. Not once. So at 5:15 PM on Christmas Day, with family gathered and expecting dinner, we were left with nothing. No food. No time to reorder elsewhere. No apology. No compensation. Just a notification essentially telling us we were out of luck. If you cannot fulfill large holiday orders, don't accept them. If something goes wrong, answer the phone. Canceling a nearly $500 order minutes before delivery--after confirming and "preparing" it--is wildly irresponsible and shows a complete lack of professionalism and basic human decency. China Jade didn't just drop the ball--they ruined Christmas dinner for an entire family and took zero responsibility. I would never trust this restaurant again, especially for an important occasion. read more

This is a place where my child went a couple times with a friend and the friend's family and really enjoyed it, so we all decided to try it together. Three out of four enjoy the experience. It looks like the restaurant was refreshed with decorative updates in a semi-modern sense. There was plenty of seating and a bar plus a very busy carry-out business in the front. They had a steady stream of people picking up food. We were greeted and told to sit where we wish and even encouraged to move since they told us they would give us a lot of food. We stayed in our spot near the gas fireplace. The people working here were extremely friendly and seemed to go out of their way to accommodate us and make our experience a good one. We started with soup and wanton chips with orange sauce. I got the hot and sour soup with a wanton, others got the wanton soup. I enjoyed mine and the chips. We also were served an egg roll. I enjoyed it, it was nice a crispy. The orange sauce is nice, and their mustard had quite the spicy that traveled through my nose. I ordered the sesame chicken and fried rice. I quite enjoyed it. It reminded me of the Kung Pao chicken I would get at Pei Wei, which I miss terribly. It had a nice crispiness and good sauce. I did have plenty of food and it tasted great the next day as well. One kid got their favorite dish here, the sweet and sour chicken, and one got the BBQ spare ribs. Both were tasty. The sweet and sour chicken is very crispy and crunchy. The ribs were nice, had that classic five spice flavor and the red sauce. Unfortunately, my husband was not impressed or pleased with his order. He got the teriyaki chicken. It was very bland and rubbery in some sort of gloopy brown sauce with a lot of bean sprouts. It was a total miss and he would not order this dish again. I do not blame him, the quality and flavor of that dish did not match the other three dishes. Overall we enjoyed our time here and I would consider coming back and ordering the same dish. I would also like to try their noodles to see how they taste and perhaps some of the appetizers. We did DoorDash from here today, we wanted Thai food but there wasn't a large selection of places open for lunch, so we decided to try China Jade instead. I ordered the cashew chicken lunch special, which comes with an egg roll, and my fiance ordered the Mongolian chicken. He asked for medium spice and it didn't seem like it had much spice at all, so he was disappointed. My cashew chicken was pretty good - there was a lot of chicken and some mushrooms too although I wish there were more. The lunch special comes with an egg roll, which was also tasty, and your choice of rice - no upcharge for fried rice. We ordered the fried wontons with pork and I was expecting more of a dumpling but instead it was more fried than I expected. Otherwise everything else was 3.5/5 from me. Recently moved to clarkston and there's not a lot of Asian spots there, so you pretty much have to drive to Waterford or Pontiac for some Chinese or Indian food, looked this up, gave it a shot today and was not disappointed at all. My mom got the house fried rice, I got the 4 seasons with a shrimp fried rice(spicy) I'm not gonna lie, the four seasons didn't hit like that for me. It's not bad, but in terms of my taste preferences I'd definitely go with some Szechuan food next time. I think the Cantonese options may be a bit bland. But my fried rice more than made up for it. The flavour absolutely explodes in your mouth. The spices and saffron complimented each other so well and there's plenty of shrimp in the rice which is a nice surprise. Most Chinese places will cheat you on the shrimp, but not here. Chicken egg roll was great as well. Service was pretty good, server got a little snappy at the end when she wanted us to pay so she can leave, but other than that it was chill. This place was super popular as we stopped for carryout. I'm always looking for new places for Hot and Sour soup and good lemon chicken. Unfortunately, if this is the popular place I don't want to try the unpopular places haha. The fried rice was that horrible black rice that is so obviously old white rice doused in soy sauce. It didn't taste as bad as it looked tho. The lemon chicken was actually quite good. Large white meat filets battered In a tasty batter. The lemon sauce itself tho, was the star of the show. Not as floppy, lightly sweet and berry lemony with a whole lemon wedge inside. Maryanne's chicken which is their take on General Tso's chicken. Was very saucy and not as spicy as we'd like as it was.more sweet but was very tasty. The Eggrolls were good with sprouts and meat inside but unseasoned, still good tho with some hot mustard. The hot and sour soup didn't have much inside, I like lots of tofu, mushrooms, bamboo shoots etc, and we had barely 3 pieces of half in long tofu. I went here about a year ago with my brother and a couple of friends. This place just came up in conversation and it was so bad that even a year later I am now coming back to write a review. 2 words........ MAPLE SYRUP. We ordered 4 different kinds of chicken, and miraculously somehow all 4 of them tasted like maple syrup. I'm not even kidding. I think the chef ran out of soy sauce (possibly from this online trend that was popular at the time), and just grabbed whatever he could find off the shelf. I guess he had waffles that day, cause all we got was syrup. The wontons in the soup fell apart before I could even pick them up, but I must say the spring rolls were impeccable(y bad). The circumstances of us going to this restaurant ended up with my brother deciding to sadly take his own life due to the quality of the sauce in the chicken. I wanted to say something to the manager, but my lips couldn't move as they were stuck from all the syrup in the chicken. We will miss my brother dearly, but we will not miss the syrup. read more

This place was absolutely slammed on Christmas Day, this is our new tradition. I placed my order online, and they called me when it was done (40 minutes, exactly). We got a dinner for three, Almond Chicken, Pepper Steak, and Sweet and Sour Chicken. It came with white rice, plain fried rice, and Wonton soup, cookies, and fortune cookies. It was a great deal and easily fed us all with food for leftovers. I've been ordering from so many local chinese/asian places in the area and China Jade definitely has some of the best soups around. We decided to dine in our waitress was so disengaged when it came to us. We order our food and order 2 take out meals as well, just saying it wasn't like we weren't spending money!! A group of white customers came in as I was about to go, I decided to stick around and watch my waitress it was unbelievable how she was now laughing, happy, and engaging with this table!! Our normal place must be on vacation so we ended up here - first time back since our last experience...which I guess was very similar. Probably the place is fine, unless there is an issue and then it is a disaster. The food was still good. Not 5 star good...but good. They missed one of our meals in our bag, as in ordered 4 meals but got home and only had 3 meals. I called and complained because my son did not have any food. They put me on hold for quite some time and argued with me, argued with me, then finally said I could come back and pick up a new one. But they insisted it was in the bag - which I swear it was not. My husband drove back (it is over 10 miles away, one way), and the guy handed the missing meal over, but the woman behind the counter was one the phone and held up her "one second" finger. My husband thought she was going to apologize... NOPE - she continued the argument from the phone that she had with me. My husband finally offered to pay (again) for the missing meal and she said to just go. Mistakes happen, we were not pleased about coming all the way back for the missing meal, but the crappy treatment we received because of their mistake is unforgivable. It is a shame because the restaurant is on my way home from work and we love Chinese food, I thought it could be a new spot. But the rude treatment by the staff wasn't worth it. read more
