Despite the food being hot and the service being fast, the food wasn't very good. The rice was almost flavorless and there were a bunch of hard pieces.. the chicken was so hot that the sauce didn't stick and was all watery at the bottom of the container. The crab ragoons had no sweetness to them at all and were a bit too salty. Overall I was disappointed.. especially after spending almost $40. Better off going to the mall food court. read more

Ocean city restaurant I really wanted his place to be good. I've lived in Saginaw for about 20 years of my life and we make some good Chinese food. I've had the best Chinese food. Bar none. Sadly this place did not measure up. Let's us start with the order. I did not order the combo, yet they gave me the combo. I did not want the plain fried rice and the egg roll. FYI, if you get the combo, you get less food. I had the "Pepper Steak" and the "Szechuan Chicken". Those are Chinese restaurants claim to fame dishes. If those two dishes are not good then the rest is history. The pepper steak was good. Tasted like buffet style. The Szechuan Chicken was off. Looks like they lost the recipe for the sauce. Lastly was the egg roll. No. Just bad. The vegetables tasted overdue. Too much bean sprout. Bean sprout goes bad. Plus, the dipping sauce is too small to fit an egg roll. Sad. My mother and wife could make better egg rolls. I see a lot of customers. It's sad they don't know what good Chinese food is. Hit up "China 1" in hazel park, MI for excellent Real Chinese food. I love going there because they have a in house made plum sauce that I just love with my fried shrimp and when they had Egg Rolls with bean sprouts. Last time they were cabbage which taste awful. Also the rolls they serve, we always take home a half dozen. Fried rice is hit and miss, not sure why. read more

The prices were so outrageous but the portions were monstrous. I just couldn't see paying 17, $18 for Mushu vegetables, which is mostly cabbage and sprouts. The food was pretty good, but nothing like it used to be. read more

I had lived in the neighborhood a few blocks from this place 25 years ago. It was our favorite go to Chinese resturant. I came back to see if it was still there when back in Pontiac on business. The staff are friendly. The food was good. It was not the exceptional food as I remember. The place ( building, parking, and restaurant ) have aged with less than steller upkeep. I ordered some won ton soup (large on yesterday, and it smelled and tasted sour. I haven't any problems or issues with Ocean City food, but yesterday wasn't a good day for the soup. It's been over 20 years since I've eaten at this restaurant and I was pleasantly surprised that nothing has changed. Staff were super friendly , and the food was delicious. Huge servings, well prepared. I had the almond chicken and it was the best I've had in a while. Ambiance- well, it's a Chinese restaurant that has been around for a long time and does mostly take out. We were the only group of diners, but when the food and service are that good ambiance doesn't matter. My only complaint is that I live over an hour away so it will be a while before I can eat here again. read more

I have been going here for 34 years and their Almond Boneless Chicken is the best! Occasionally they get some tough chicken and it's very disappointing so I really suggest they think about a better chicken provider.Everything I have had there is so good. The egg rolls and wonton soup are delicious. I highly recommend this place to everyone because there are so many people that have no idea what good Chinese food tastes like. Places they say are good are awful! The prices here are so reasonable and the service is always good. Still hands-down the best Chinese since I moved here from Ohio more than 20 years ago. The strip mall it's in is getting run down, and Ocean City is tucked into a corner, but it's worth seeking out. They also recently renovated the dining room, so it looks great in there! Vegetables in their dishes are always fresh (unlike a certain Chinese place on M-59 and Williams Lake Rd) and abundant. Owners recognize regulars by name. My faves are sweet and sour chicken, Mongolian beef and the Sizzling Rice Soup. Dine in or carry out - you can't go wrong. read more

One of my favorite Chinese food places, the shrimp fried rice is everything! The shrimp are a nice size and the rice taste amazing - not mushy at all but not too single either. Their workers are thieves, a young lady who was taking orders and payment stole my mother credit card number and charged $800 dollars on it. My mother bank alerted her the next day. if it wasn't for the alert my mothe wouldn't have kno anything. So I called the owner to rep this matter and the only this she could say was she trusted her worker and she would never do anything like that, not I'll investigate or anything. this place has been in a community that I was born and raised in and this is what happened when we spend our hard earn money read more

I was so delighted to find this little gem, a mile and a half of my house. Located in the strip mall so it first I was a little bit suspicious but once I got the food home it was so tasty and yummy. It is takeout only at this point there is no ambience. And the service was great. read more

I haven't eaten here for 4 or 5 years, because I didn't think the food was very good. But I have several friends who like it so I thought I would give it another chance. Very disappointing. One dish I ordered to be hot -- on a scale of mild, medium, hot, or extra hot -- and it was essentially tasteless. There was no flavor, and no spiciness. The worst Chinese food. I've tried this place multiple times to make sure, but I have to say it is the worst Chinese restaurant I've ever experienced. They add water to stretch the sauces...probably to make more dishes and the food becomes soggy and without any flavor. It's really surprising and disappointing. The frying oil is not changed out/cleaned enough because the taste is very strong and smells on the food- it's not normal. Some chicken is too tough to chew while others will fall apart soggy in the same dish. I've tried the sesame chicken, orange chicken and sweet and sour dishes on multiple occasions just to make sure and be fair, and every time it was gross. It's sad that they serve this to people, no one should have to eat watered down and soggy bland food. Like literally wet, not coated in a sauce normally. Please just go somewhere else, you'll save your appetite and disappointment. Literally the worse Chinese food ever. read more

I've been eating Chinese from here for nearly 30 years. Food is always good and the family that owns the place are always friendly and social. The General Tso's chicken (extra spicy) is different than any other restaurant. No breading whatsoever. Chicken tossed with cornstarch and deep fried before sauce added. Really great. I have to say I've only eaten here a handful of times. I've lived in the area for a while now. I tried here tonight after seeing something really unsavory about my former favorite Chinese restaurant (god bless them, they're still great people). I had the vegetable fried rice and a crab rangoon. The crab rangoon actually has a good amount of filling AND visible crab meat, something I've not seen in rangoon in a LONG time anywhere in the Metro that I've tried. The vegetable fried rice had a good mix of veggies and great flavor, I was pleasantly surprised because I wasn't expecting much out of something so simple. Marked down one star simply because the egg roll wrapper didn't taste fresh, not sure if it was the oil, wrapper, or their storage method. My fiancé seemed to think they were alright though because he seems to have eaten all 4 of them read more
