Gross! Picked up an order for sweet and sour chicken and they gave me almond sauce, no sweet and sour. The egg roll was so greasy I took one bite and spit it out, inedible. I tried the almond sauce on these hard pucks they call "chicken" and no flavor, just the greasy chicken flavor. This was a pick up order, no soy sauce packets were included (what Chinese restaurant doesn't place that in your bag). We certainly won't be back. read more

First time picking up Chinese food from here and it was awesome. I got the pepper steak, and two chicken egg rolls. I was surprised that they were in a strip mall but the place was clean, I think it's all carry out but was a table or so in there but not sure if it's for eating or waiting for your order. Pepper steak was really good, the sauce had a good flavor and the peppers and onions were crisp. The chicken egg rolls were cooked just right not too crispy but perfect for me, had a good amount of chicken along with the veggies. The staff were nice and explained their portions to me with an added visual hanging on the wall. Lol The prices were inline with other places that I had the same items at but this places wasn't over salty that I have had at other location. So all in all I'd recommend this place if you're looking to try a new Chinese place. read more

Food is always great as usual. Started going here in 2008. The Lo Mein noodle is great it is unlike many other Chinese restaurants which just use spaghetti noodles. They always treat me well every time I go. The owners work hard give them a brake. I personally love their sesame chicken it's tangy and savory. read more

It was a large portion which turned out to be necessary, the chicken is so dry that I had to dispose of the dried up chicken jerky ends. The fried rice was filled with onion. I've eaten here multiple times because I live so close. I've honestly had mixed experiences. But I will say I've learned what is done really well here. The fried dumplings with ginger sauce are delicious. The wonton soup is very good with full, perfectly cooked wontons. The sesame chicken is surprisingly good. I ordered shrimp fried rice, 3 egg rolls, and an almond chicken dinner. The almond chicken wasn't seasoned at all. The almond sauce tasted like peanuts and had the consistency of soup. First time here. I have been eager to try it out. Well, with my usual favorite Alex Chinese closed I thought it was the perfect chance to give them a try. I had the almond boneless chicken and it was horribly over breaded. I'm not even sure the breading was cooked all the way through. Dining partner had sesame chicken and that was OK but not great. I will give big kudos to the staff who were extremely pleasant and helpful. Above and beyond the norm. Perhaps if I tried a non-breaded dish the food might taste better and my rating would improve. Best takeout in the area. My mom and I always come here and Mia and her husband and awesome. Mia is the friendliest person ever and so sweet. She's known me since I was little and came here. The garlic chicken is the best and they make it how I like it with just chicken and pea pods or with extra sauce. I'm so sad they're closed right now but I'd rather them keep their family safe! I only like coming here and the food is super hot and super fresh. We like to eat in to talk to Mia usually too. Give this place a chance and you won't be disappointed at all! They're also really fast. If you place your order it's usually done within 10 minutes so it's convenient if you're really hungry haha read more

I'm sorry, I don't normally give reviews that are bad, since I always want to give the restaurant the benefit of the doubt. But in this case I've got to say that with the unfortunate closing of our favorite Chinese restaurant Eastern Pearl, we no longer have a good Chinese restaurant in the area, because Hong Kong is absolutely horrible. We tried this for the 3rd time ever and I know why we wait so long in between visits. It takes that long to get it out of our system. Honestly, there was just no taste. The sweet and sour chicken was all batter and no chicken and the sauce was just red liquid. No taste. We ordered egg rolls and spring rolls which weren't actually that bad, but there was no sauce included, which was also disappointing. The chow mein and chicken with vegetables along with the fried rice were all just bland. My advice to you....find a good Mexican restaurant. We don't have a good Chinese restaurant. Would give less than 1 star if I could for their customer service. Have been ordering delivery from here about once a week for several months. Delivery service started off excellent, but took increasingly longer as time went on. Tonight I called, and the kid on the phone stated they don't deliver to my address. I responded by saying they have several times before. He stated they were to busy and could not deliver more than 8 miles out. I started to state I was much less than that and he hung up on me. Called back and asked to speak with a manager, and he refused to let me talk to anyone else and hung up on me again. Called again to find out his name, and he refused. He told me to come there to get his name and hung up for a third time. As mad as I was, I did drive there to speak with someone, but the owner called me on my way to say that it was inconvenient to deliver to me because it was over 7 miles away, although they have in the past when they weren't so busy. I then told her how rude the person, and that I was parked in front of the restaurant, a whopping 4.1 miles from my house according to my odometer. She basically accused me of lying about how I was treated on the phone and about the mileage. She did start to say that since I was there, I could go inside and order. Needless to say, I will now be going to Carrie Lee's or something from now on. read more

One of the better Chinese joints around. I am pretty sure I am biased as this is the only place that I have found that makes Chicken Lo Mein the way I like it. I will drive around 10 minutes just for their Lo Mein. It is delicious!!!! Decent prices and they do deliver. read more

I like this place and find the quality and taste is very consistent with the way it was when it opened in about 2006ish. Some review are extra harsh due to bad service. If you want good Chinese take out, this is the place as simple as that! We all know tasty Chinese food is nearly impossible to find in Michigan, this is the only reasonably priced place I have ever found that actually tastes good and does not scare me. Calling back will result in working with you to make it right but didn't really help that I didn't get the food I ordered. Service is dependent on what you order and when you order. Food was ok but delivery service was awful. I paid online and I asked them to please not ring the doorbell because I was in the middle of work and for them to leave the food on the porch. This usually isn't a problem and every delivery person who has come to my home has been able to follow these directions except the delivery drivers at Hong Kong. When they got here they started ringing my doorbell incessantly and pounding on my door as well. East ocean was closed so we decided to give Hong Kong a try. I so wanted to like it. It's cheaper and closer to our home. But alas... This is awful Chinese food. We got the almond chicken combo and general Tao combo. It had no redeeming qualities. The cuts of chicken were so bad that half of our almond chicken was not eatable. Chicken and broccoli meal I tried was bland and because I'm currently low carb I decided to try the chicken and cashew this time. Now it is probably my bad for assuming that because "chicken and broccoli" was chicken and broccoli that "chicken and cashews" would be chicken and cashews. Wrong! There were 7 cashews (I counted) on top and then tons of veggies (that I don't like, not even any broccoli) and then some little pieces of breaded chicken, which I can't have... not sautéed. I should have verified the last part, but again, based on other menu items it O thought I could assume that. So now I'm starving and sitting here with a meal that I paid for and can't eat. Don't eat here! Awful customer service. My mom got a take out there and she is allergic to shellfish. They must deep fry their shellfish with the egg rolls because she got very sick and her throat started to close up. Went back up to tell them what happened no apology nothing.
