Went here for dinner with my dining mate. Although mainly takeout there were several tables and chairs for dining there. Staff is very friendly, menu very good,prices reasonable. We ordered from the counter, Hot and sour soup, egg drop soup, both tasty, we split a spring roll, not great because vegetables not soft, some tasted raw. I ordered the flower chicken in white sauce and my dining mate had the chicken and shrimp in brown sauce. My chicken dish was like soup, when manager saw my soupy food he returned with a newly cooked one and did not charge me for either. .However the newly cooked flower chicken had no sauce in it at all. The chicken and shrimp dish in brown sauce was tasty as was the fried rice. We would come back and try something different on the menu. They werel out of chopsticks when we asked for them. I was hopeful of having a good Chinese restaurant closer to home, but this isn't it. The wonton in their wonton soup was very good, but the hot and sour soup needed rice vinegar in it - no sour to be found. Hot and sour soup is better at Tian Tian or China East (though pretty much everything else at China East is meh). Cashew chicken was in a fairly flavorless, runny sauce, and had a lot of mushrooms and water chestnuts in it, light on the chicken portion. Tian Tian's cashew chicken is miles better than this. Shrimp lo mein had small shrimp in it, and noodles were almost overcooked/soaked in the sauce, all stuck together in the to-go container. There should be some bounce/chew to the noodles, and generally cooked with enough oil to not stick together. To top it off, 2 of our 3 fortune cookies were missing fortunes in them and tasted burnt - the fortune cookies are from a brand out of Georgia I've never seen before. I wanted to like this place. In fact, a neighbor posted this week how much they enjoyed the food and the huge portions they had. My meal which was orange chicken was okay. The orange rind was fried and hard. The chicken was chewy. I had ordered sesame chicken, orange chicken, and a vegetarian dish. I was there during lunch. The restaurant is small. Service was fast. The young lady even brought my dishes to me instead of calling me up to pick up (that was a nice touch). I don't know if I will go back again. read more

We decided to try this place out due to its close proximity to our house. Upon picking up our order, the restaurant was pretty busy, but I wasn't greeted by the smell of Chinese food. It oddly smelled like nothing much besides oil and maybe cleaning supplies. The flavor in our food explained the lack of aroma, as there wasn't much of a taste to most of it either. We ordered: Pan fried dumplings, lo mein (plain), wonton soup, two egg rolls, and an order of crispy scallion chicken. The lo mein had 0 flavor, the noodles were overcooked, and all of it was stuck together in a huge brick. (It was also $11, even with no meat and no veggies) it tasted like old cooking oil, and really nothing much else. The egg rolls were standard, not much flavor. The wonton soup was fine, again, not much flavor. The crispy scallion chicken was actually not bad. I appreciate the small pieces of chicken, and it had decent flavor compared to the rest of our food. It was sweet and ever so slightly spicy. The dumplings were the worst of it all. I'm not sure if they were having an off day, or if the dumplings are typically made this way. I could tell they were made in house which is good, but the dumpling dough was not rolled out thin enough at all. It was more like a super super thick pierogi. The meat was an offputting color and didn't have much flavor, just full of the same old cooking oil taste and extremely greasy like everything else we ordered. I think we will stick with our usual Chinese spot. I'd be willing to try again in the future, and order completely different stuff, but only if someone else is paying. read more

I wanted to love it...cuz its new and close. My experience with places that only do takeout vs full svc restaurants--their food is just not as good. So I wasn't expecting much. Meat in hunan chicken was dry and overcooked. Pork in lo mein also dry, and so drenched in soy sauce it almost looked like chocolate sauce. And for lunch dishes they do something with the egg and veg rolls that drives me insane--they throw them on top of the rice which makes them a soggy mess. How lazy and classless. Its like they dont care how their food looks when you open box or tastes. I'll give them another shot, but 2 strikes and they're out. Theres too many other Chinese places around to have to settle for sub-par food. read more

What a hidden gem. We tried this past weekend. The portions were so large we got four meals out of the order. Every dish was fantastic.

This is a mostly take out place, even though they have seating, I've never seen anyone eating in. This is my second visit. I try to give a place two tries before I review them. I'm not impressed at all. The food is bland and just because the portions are HUGE what good is HUGE if it isn't tasty? My last order was Orange Chicken and Chicken Fried Rice. I actually weighed the dishes and they were about 3 pounds each. That's a LOT of food. I didn't taste any orange whatsoever and the Fried Rice was beyond bland. Lots of soy sauce might have helped, I suppose. The service is fine, the wait seems long for foods that are prepared on a wok! Go figure. Would I return? Most likely not.
