Panda Inn has recently switched ownership. The menu larger, and contains a good amount of vegetarian options. These are excellent. There are also dinner options for one person, not just the "family" dinners. The customer service has been great. The interior is still the 1990s neon interior. I don't know if the owners plan to keep it that way, but it's still kind of cool and retro. If you like vaporwave, check it out. It's that aesthetic. Cream cheese wontons are still on the menu. We love this place...well we LOVED it. The new ownership changed ALL the food and its just terrible. Less flavor, less quality and less food for your dollar. The general's chicken lost any tang or sweetness and is just salty now. The chow mein taste is very off, the noodles taste like...bread and nothing else. The bbq pork (in the fried rice & seperate) is dry & tasteless. The fried almond chicken went from a GREAT almond flour chicken cutlet fried & coated in crushed almonds! Now its just... the exact same "fried chicken" used for sweet & sour with almonds poured over top. The gravy was good but not enough to cover how dry and thickly breaded the chicken is. The sweet & sour sauce was okay and the wonton were fried well. It was an expensive disappointment. I'm so so sad to see 99 Panda close for this chain restaurant to take over. Ok so I loved this place, my parents would take me and my sisters here after church on Sunday's and to me it was THE chinese food that I would compare to all other chinese food. We always ordered mongolian beef, panda combo crispy noodles and sweet and sour pork (it was my favorite). Well I came here with my sisters (whenever I'm in kitsap I always try to visit here since they are not in tacoma) and we ordered like usual and poured our tea like usual and they started bringing out our food and I asked for chopsticks (cuz I wanna feel cool and struggle then end up with a arthritic hand). They gave us 3 pairs (wooden ones that you usually have to split) that were not only already split, but I could tell they had been used from the color marks half way up the stick. So that sucked. Then I started eating the sweet and sour pork and it left the worst bitter after taste in my mouth so pretty much fml the apocalypse must be coming cuz this place was the sh*t. read more

TOFU HOT POT!!! I don't know about the rest of their food because i can no longer remember it....tofu hot pot is more important then any other food i have tried there. From what tiny bit I can recall, the other dishes were standard and good...but not tofu hot pot good. The tofu hot pot is a sizzling temptress of a dish that has tofu, brown sauce(no chik broth requested), veggies like carrots, onions, bell peppers, and garlic cloves....a lot of garlic cloves....i think it is baked....or simmered with a lid on a stove, and it is scrumtrulescent(refer. urban dictionary). no joke. It wasn't the greatest I ever ate, but not the worst either. I was hungry while getting tires next door at Discount Tire Company, and decided to go in since it was the nearest restaurant. Ordered the Almond Chicken w/ gravy and the Orange Chicken to go. Both plates were okay, but the sides were really really greasy, especially the fried noodles. Service was great, so I left a good tip as they served me tea and water even though I ordered take out. Didn't try the mongolian bbq, so it might have been a different experience if I did. The price for the dinner all-you-can-eat mongolian bbq was only $10.95, which seemed like a really good deal. read more

Ordered the Clay Hot Pot Garlic Tofu + ($8.00) Wontons. With a roomate order of the General Tso's Firstly there was a disastrous mess in the bag of food, sauce/juice everywhere. It made everything sticky and troublesome. Secondly, the Tofu dish was bland, burnt, and prepared incorrectly. Most the veggies were burnt, large cut and the Tofu was shriveled and again, bland. The sauces were under-developed and uninspired. At last the wantons were severely under cooked, and also bland with noi special sauce beyond a prepackaged sweet and sour. There seems to be a theme running here. The only positive from this order (indicative of the negative) is that it was prepared and delivered quickly. read more

I am not a vegetarian, but they have the best tofu dishes. A dish that really stood out was the mapou tofu (sp?). Had Panda chicken for lunch. Everyone around me is praising their food. This place was recommended by a catering company. Worst Asian anything I've ever had. Tasted burnt, asked for medium spicy and it had none, small portions, fried rice tasteless, chow mein seemed to be spaghetti noodles. Tea was quite weak. Water, fortune cookie, and service got the one star. I'm told the Szechuan is their best - I'd be hard pressed to eat here again. Blech. read more

My family ordered Kung poa: was not spicy at all (4/10), sweet and sour: was entirely fried and had next to no chicken (1/10), chicken with vegetables: absolutely flavourless, the sauce resembled water (2/10). Pot Stickers: one of us liked it, while the other 4 had to literally spit it out because of the mystery meat inside. (0/10) Now onto the pros... The rice was delicious. The menu offers variety at reasonable prices. There is a lounge here, so a full bar is available to patrons. The atmosphere is comfortable with good temperature and pleasant service. I ordered a simple order of BBQ pork fried rice and deep fried prawns on doordash from this restaurant...when I recieved my food I was unhappy right away....the order of rice was completely WRONG and I got a couple hits of uncooked rice ...the prawns were too hard to bite into cause they were overcooked and the fortune cookies had black dots all over them and were rock hard that it cut my hand when trying to break it into pieces....I will never order from this place again! read more

I'm not sure where to start with this one... I've always heard good things about this place, so I decided to order last night from them. They forgot one of my items, so I had to wait, not that big of a deal. When I got home, the item they forgot and I had to wait another 20 minutes for was the wrong thing. All the other food tasted like they hadn't changed their oil, or cleaned their cooking utensils, in months. All the food has this weird burnt/old oil taste and left a strange after taste. So for those like me, who dislike eating chicken, you are not trapped into a small part of the menu at this place like I find myself with other menus. They have all kinds of things here you can choose from. I generally order the bbq wok, so I speak for the wok. I like that i can eat a wide variety of vegetables and healthy meat like lamb, and I like to flavor it myself. Also watching them cooking it on the wok is fun too for those that actually allow themselves to enjoy it. I try to stay away from unhealthy food. I can say the rice that comes with the order is pretty ok, for just being veggie fried rice. I eat the soup but, I don't like the corn in it. Otherwise it's ok without corn. I just don't like corn though, that is me. I appreciate this place having options. So, say I don't want to eat a bunch of fried stuff. Normally I don't for the sake of my stomach. But I like that I can choose fresh vegetables as an option. Normally I cook with a wok at home anyway. This has a great location being right next to Fred Meyer. I sincerely love the big golden piece of art on the wall. I get lost inside the world in it. I have crossed that little golden bridge so many times in my mind. Absolutely not like I remember it from years ago. Let's start with the service : one "hostess " totally lost trying to handle a to go order. Finally got seated. Two other groups got seated after, and got their orders taken. Got up to walk out, then hostess/waitress came over to take our order. Had to tell her twice what my order was by the way. Side note, the silverware looked like it stays on the table forever, never getting washed. My boyfriends order came out 5 minutes before mine, my order came out and it wasn't what I ordered. Did I send it back, hell no, I don't want spit or feces in my food. I will never go back and will warn everyone I know to stay clear of this place. This has been my favorite Chinese restaurant in Bremerton so far. I love getting their broccoli and mushroom dish. Their sweet and sour chicken isn't half bad either. I've taken both my mom and sister here and neither one liked it, but from my experiences I'd have to say that their take out is better than their sit-in, which is a little backwards from what I'm accustomed to in a restaurant. But considering I'm usually ordering for myself, as my husband only likes beef fried rice and would rather not have that to begin with, the fact that their take out is better suits me just fine! I've always enjoyed the service, though the main waitress, who I assume owns the restaurant, can be rather abrupt and hard to understand at times. But I gained a high estimation of her when I watched her serve a group of 6-7, 3 of whom were blind. She was very good about making them aware of her and told them how their plates were divided (i.e. Entree on left, rice on right, drink--takes their hand and puts it on the glass--top right). Their entrance is rather crowded as well, and a woman with a cane tripped behind me once while I was ordering my meal to go. Luckily they have a table reserved for those who are waiting on take out. So once you've ordered you can get out of the way. But I don't know that I could say that their entrance is wheelchair friendly at all. While this may be my favorite place to go I do have to say that it is not the best Chinese food I've ever had. It just happens to be one of the better choices in this area. Kitsap county seems to be bigger on teriyaki and Mexican than Chinese. And the Chinese selection is limited and subpar at best. Never mind quality Thai within a 20 minute radius. read more

I ate here a few times years ago and thought the food was extraordinary. They had specialty menu items like honey walnut prawns and Panda chicken that were fresh and delicious. I went back today and was hugely disappointed. I got my old favorite, Panda chicken, and it was drenched in a strong dark sauce, so much so that it was unidentifiable as chicken at all. My daughter got the Panda beef, same strong sauce, same flavor. The fried rice was ok, the chow mein was bland. The egg flower soup was good and so was the price but if I go back I will order the sauce on the side. read more

I have never given this poor of a review ever. I do try to find positives wherever I travel, however this was sad. Service was very slow, and it was literally piece by piece. Normally on a Friday pre holiday night I could excuse, but the food did not uplift our visit. Fried rice was loaded with soy sauce, the other two dishes were very fried, with oil still visible.
