Now the portions are much smaller and tonight when my wife and I were there, one of the dishes tasted off, we did not eat it and when asked by our server we said something was wrong tonight and we were charged full price anyways. I'm giving them 5 stars because it was an all around great experience. My husband and daughter ate the Mongolian bbq buffet while I ordered an appetizer and kung pow chicken. We had our appetizer by the time they say down with their food and shortly after I got my kung pow. My two little ones were munching on the rice and appetizer so they weren't fussing, our food was great and the atmosphere was quiet and pleasant. I will be going back soon. I love that I could sit with the little ones and order my dinner while my husband could go to the grill/buffet. I'm very happy. read more

Got sweet and sour chicken and the breading seemed strange. Ate most of it, about 45 minutes later felt sick to my stomach. By the end of the night had full blown food poisoning. Hadn't eaten anything in 24 hours other than that. Trip to the er the next day to add to it. Will never return. This is from the end if sept. Their response today via private message. Im not sure why the breading seemed strange. however you kept eating it, so if it was that strange why would you keep eating it? I also dont recall you bringing it to our attention of this strange breading. While I am no doctor, if you hadnt eaten anything for 24 hours and then came in and had deep fat fried food that is covered in a sugary sweet sauce, that in itself can cause an upset stomach. Sweet and sour chicken is our top seller and we had no other complaints, so if it was our food then others would have been sick too. Due to the mere fact that food poisoning comes from approximately 250 different kinds of bacteria, viruses, and parasites and can take a full day or two to show signs (but can take several hours too) it is possible that it came from another place. We are deeply sorry that you were sick and felt it was our fault and that you had to go to the ER the next day as well. We do hope that you have fully recovered. This is my wife's and mine favorite restaurant. We eat here at least once a month, sometimes 2 or 3 times a month. The Mongolian Barbecue is great and there is good selection. When you go ask for Terry the owner to do your Mongolian Barbecue for you. It comes out great. The atmosphere is good and we receive great and friendly service. Other people stated that they did not get good service. That is too bad. It could have been an off day for the server. But we always get great service. I have never had any food that I did not like. Their tofu clay pot is really good with lots of garlic. I would give it 5 stars but there are few restaurants that deserve 5 stars. But if you were to rate it in its own classification of restaurants it would be worth giving 5 stars for the type of restaurant that it is. Go there to eat and return often. Panda-Inn is by and far the best place for Chinese (at this price) in the Kitsap area. Perhaps I'm biased because I have been eating there for the past 6 years, but that just shows the longevity of their quality. The restaurant is extremely clean and the service is very polite and friendly. 90% of the time the food has been meticulously prepared, and expertly served; the remaining 10% of the time, their food has just been "good", but never "bad". The Panda-Inn is SOLIDLY in the realm of good every time that I have gone. Never again. The service was terrible we were overloooked after we ordered had to wait for 20-30 minutes to get soup. Asked for entrees to be packed up to go then had to ask again. This is the best, more authentic, chinese restaurant I have found. The food is fabulous! I have yet to have a bad dish there. The employees I have dealt with have been very friendly. I have done both sit down and to-go. The quality does not fall with to-go, as with some restaurants. Though all the dishes I have had never disappoint, I HIGHLY recommend the paper wrapped chicken. This was my second visit and validated why I didn't want to come back. CUSTOMER SERVICE IS HORRIBLE. The second was just as bad as the first. It seems as the Asian lady may be the owner or manager, whichever it is she has POOR customer service and is very rude to the other employees. The first time we went there she almost yelled to us to "watch out, tea is hot" her loud voice made me jump and I felt as she spoke to me as if I were a child. The server there tossed silverware to the other end of the table. I didn't want to go back but we decided that it was just a bad day so we went back and decided to use our Kitsap card that gives you a local discount. Well we didn't read the sign in the front that states show before ordering as we were immediately seated right when we walked in. When we were seated the server never asked if we had one either so as we went to pay with our kitsap card they would not honor it, Really?!?! I will never go back again and after that I have spoke to other people about my experience and it wasn't to my surprise there were others that had similar experiences. If I want Mongolian then I don't mind driving into Silverdale to Mongolian BBQ or Wok On Fire from now on and I will be recommending to others to do the same!!! The food is generally OK, nothing to brag about, so I don't mind spending my dollars at other Chinese/Mongolian restaurants. read more

This use to be a great place to go for some awesome Chinese/American food when I was a kid but the years have obviously taken there toll. Ordered the Kung Pao chicken which was less then satisfactory. Kung Pao, from my experience, is suppose to be somewhat of a spicy dish but to my surprise the waitress didn't even give me the option to pick a level of spiciness. What came back was a bland dish of small chicken bits mixed with water chestnuts, carrots and other odds and ends. What is funny is that I had participated in a triathlon on the same day and even all that work didn't make this dish anymore appetizing. My girlfriend ordered the Brown Tofu. The waitress didn't really know much about the dish or even if it was animal friendly. What came back looked utterly disgusting. My girlfriend ate two pieces and then requested a box so she could kindly take it home and throw it away. I was really shocked when the bill came and I had to pay for a meal that was sub satisfactory. I felt like this nice old Chinese lady was mugging me. All in all this was a horrible dinning experiences and I will not be returning. read more

Used to love this place, so tried it again in January 2014. Three of us had lettuce chicken, broccoli beef, fried rice, and something else. The lettuce chicken was the best of what we ordered, although it used to be served in butter lettuce "cups." Now it is iceberg lettuce, which is not as tender and elegant. The other dishes were bland, and when I mentioned this to the waitress, she acted like I was personally insulting her. Someone else brought out some chili paste to spice it up, put it on the table without a word and left. We didn't touch the paste. To season my rice, I tried what I thought was soy sauce in a bottle on the table, and it tasted terrible! The service was weird and unfriendly, the food looked fresh but had no flavor, and the restaurant had some sort of underlying smell that I couln't pinpoint. I would have left when I smelled that odor, but made the mistake of staying because my friends were with me and we'd had a long day. VERY unpleasant experience. Panda made our day end on a bad note. I have been going here since 2010 and it once was a favorite...Times have changed. I reach the point where I will not go back. The portions are smaller then they used to be and the quality has gone down. Often now I have had to ask for clean silverware. My most recent visit was poor customer service and extremely disappointing. one of the 2 dishes ordered was just not good at all from the texture of the beef to the flavor, it was a sizzling dish and the taste of oil in the dish made it inedible. We let our server know when she asked if something was wrong and we politely said the one dish just was not edible, she told her manager who came over and ""sorta??"" offered to get a new dish but we declined at that point. (the cook had come out to do a Mongolian dish and it looked like he was MISERABLE, NOT reassuring!) When we got our bill we where very surprised to see we had been charged for the dish that was not eaten, we asked if there was a mistake and were informed that because the meat in the dish was not moldy or spoiled they could not comp the meal. Seriously poor customer service I had thought they offered a replacement dish I now am pretty sure if we had taken her up on the offer we still would have been charged for all. I can say after this experience especially and due to the decline in portion size and overall quality of food and service they have lost a long time customer. Do your self a favor and find a more reputable restaurant in the area there are several! read more
