Once you sit down you scan a QR Code to order your food and drinks. I was pretty hungry that day so we ended up ordering a ton of food. The drinks were pretty good and they were served in Le Creuset mugs. Not the biggest deal, but I can appreciate some nice drinkware. The bowl of Kimchi Fried rice came out first. It was a generous portion and the rice was cooked well, but I feel like it could've used some more kimchi. The eggs on top were cooked perfectly and added good texture to the dish. The next dish to come out was the HK French toast. The bread was nice and fluffy which paired well with a nice generous drizzle of condensed milk. I enjoyed this a lot. We also ordered scallion pancake, pork barbecue, and bossam baos. These were ok, I would probably pass on a return visit. I felt like the meat in the baos was a little tough though they did have decent flavor. The last entree was the smoked salmon and avocado croissant; I really enjoyed this. It had a generous helping of smoked salmon and avocado as well. The saltiness of the salmon paired well with the creamy and fatty avocado. The croissant was also nice and flaky. It was also served with a house salad which had a nice drizzle of dressing on it too. For dessert we ordered a Black Sesame Souffle Pancake. This was SO good. A few months ago I visited a place in Princeton that specialized in these Japanese-style pancakes and Tasty Junction's version was so much more enjoyable. I loved that it was served with a healthy scoop of ice cream. The pancake was airy and had a bounce to it. Each bite was so good and made even better with the ice cream. I'd definitely come back just for the pancakes. All in all Tasty Junction is a great spot tucked away in Glen Rock

The workers were super nice and took our orders far as well. Probably because of how busy it was the food took forever to come, however the food was worth the wait. Matcha burlee stack 10/10 There was a matcha flavor but it was not over powering the pancake wasn't too cakey it was fluffy and had a slight crisp to them. The sauce was not too sweet at all and the burlee didn't have that burnt flavor. This is my new favorite pancake spot. I'll definitely be coming more for try the other pancakes. truffle mushroom egg toast 7/10 Maybe the pancakes wowed us too much but this felt pretty normal nothing amazing just regular eggs mushroom with truffle oil on sour dough. It's a good portion size too. Green doctor 10/10 This was so good healthy but you don't taste the healthy. the consistency was not too thickly but it was not watery. Overall this place was amazing i would definitely recommend coming here for brunch. I would say the pancakes are a must get. If it was not for the long wait for food. Also they did mess up my drink once but forgivable since it was so tasty. otherwise, they would be a 5/5.

All kinds of Retro Classic Diner vibes emanate all throughout this timeless restaurant from their unmistakable oldies tunes playing in the background to their classic style leather booths, this place is unquestionably a local landmark. Friends of mine have named this as one of the best breakfast spots around and I couldn't agree more with them, whole heartedly in fact. Currently I've become a huge fan of their Blueberry Pancakes which are outstanding and have kind of crepe-like texture to them. They're made with fresh picked berries from Hammonton NJ baked-in and topped with real Blueberry Syrup for the win. We're talking about some seriously epic YUMMMMMMERS !! (Located in Newport Centre Mall)…read more30 Mall Dr. West Third Floor Jersey City, NJ 07310 Yuzu Lemonade Miso Cream Udon Spicy Beef I previously posted about this Japanese café located in the upper level food court of the Newport Centre Mall. Assistant Manager Caio introduced me to a few of the most popular lunch menu items that Owner Joseph recently added to the menu. Yuzu Lemonade: This refreshing, tangy citrus beverage was blended with yuzu, which is a fruit combination of lemon, grapefruit, and mandarin orange. This is undoubtedly one of the tastiest beverages I ever tried, but I would have preferred a thicker straw so I could slurp up the tiny pieces of yuzu on the bottom. Miso Cream Udon: These thick Japanese noodles are smothered in miso cream sauce, which is blended primarily with black miso, white miso, dashi flakes and parmesan. The udon was topped with chili flakes. It was very rich and creamy with an umami flavor. Spicy Beef: The thinly sliced beef was smothered in a Korean gochujang sauce and topped with sesame seeds and chili flakes; it had a mild kick. Also included are coleslaw and a heaping pile of rice. Overall, I had another fantastic experience exploring these new additions to the lunch menu. #fluffyfluffygo #spicybeef #YuzuLemonade #misocreamudon #japanesecafevibes #newportcentre #diningconcourse #NewportMall #jerseycitynj #gochujangsauce #udonnoodles

We got the pork sando, signature pancake, basque cheesecake, and 2 drinks (Thai tea/mango soda). This was our first time trying a souffle pancake. The pork in the sando wasn't as big compared to the chicken katsu pics we see online and seemed to be a bit overcooked and on the drier side. Overall, the sando lacked flavor imo. I enjoyed the fries which were crispy. Pancake was good and had the jiggle. The drinks were too sweet for me and the Thai ice tea looked like there were tea grinds that leaked out but you can taste the tea. However, the basque cheesecake was soo good! Highly recommend! Shared it with my family and they also gave good remarks. It's pretty for Instagram but the prices are steep. Not sure many people will go to the mall for expensive pancakes given the other options available. I personally wouldn't come unless there was a good deal. The ambiance is the mall food court which I don't think is a good location for the brand. Service was fine but seemed like one of the workers was in training. Haven't been but their NY location is probably better.

When we got there, there was a moderate line waiting outside. I entered and was told there was a 20 minute wait. Ok I decided to wait. I was pleasantly surprised when they handed me a pager which meant I could wait in my car. The pager alerted and we entered the restaurant and was greeted by one of the three young hosts .. one of which sat us at a table closest to the door where many of the people were standing around waiting. This was not a table we wanted to eat at. When I told the host we didn't want the table because of the reason stated, they became disregarding and dismissive. At the same time that table was being cleared the waitress walked up to the host at the check in desk and loudly yelled "Don't ever take my tips from my table, only I will touch my cash tips or it gets confused". The older young host then told us that they could only sit us in that server's section because she was next.. Meanwhile a number customers were seated in the next 10 minutes at several tables we would have accepted. The host didn't care. We decided to leave and drove to Cracker Barrel down the street where they were equally busy and sat us immediately.. by the way I am no youngster, I have been and seen people re-seated plenty of times without the nuclear resistance we experienced at this restaurant. How is the food? I can't say, we left.
