(Located in Newport Centre Mall) 30 Mall Dr. West Third Floor Jersey City, NJ 07310 Yuzu Lemonade Miso Cream Udon Spicy Beef I previously posted about this Japanese café located in the upper level food court of the Newport Centre Mall. Assistant Manager Caio introduced me to a few of the most popular lunch menu items that Owner Joseph recently added to the menu. Yuzu Lemonade: This refreshing, tangy citrus beverage was blended with yuzu, which is a fruit combination of lemon, grapefruit, and mandarin orange. This is undoubtedly one of the tastiest beverages I ever tried, but I would have preferred a thicker straw so I could slurp up the tiny pieces of yuzu on the bottom. Miso Cream Udon: These thick Japanese noodles are smothered in miso cream sauce, which is blended primarily with black miso, white miso, dashi flakes and parmesan. The udon was topped with chili flakes. It was very rich and creamy with an umami flavor. Spicy Beef: The thinly sliced beef was smothered in a Korean gochujang sauce and topped with sesame seeds and chili flakes; it had a mild kick. Also included are coleslaw and a heaping pile of rice. We came to Fluffy Fluffy (located in the food court at Newport Mall) for lunch during Jersey City Fest and got 2 combos. We got the pork sando, signature pancake, basque cheesecake, and 2 drinks (Thai tea/mango soda). This was our first time trying a souffle pancake. The pork in the sando wasn't as big compared to the chicken katsu pics we see online and seemed to be a bit overcooked and on the drier side. Overall, the sando lacked flavor imo. I enjoyed the fries which were crispy. Pancake was good and had the jiggle. The drinks were too sweet for me and the Thai ice tea looked like there were tea grinds that leaked out but you can taste the tea. However, the basque cheesecake was soo good! Highly recommend! Shared it with my family and they also gave good remarks. It's pretty for Instagram but the prices are steep. Not sure many people will go to the mall for expensive pancakes given the other options available. I personally wouldn't come unless there was a good deal. The ambiance is the mall food court which I don't think is a good location for the brand. Service was fine but seemed like one of the workers was in training. Decided to stop by this place that offered savory and sweet Japanese options. They are located in the Newport mall in Jersey city. If you have ever heard about the "Fluffy Pancakes" this is your place! They offer them in a variety of flavors with toppings. I got the strawberry and the Dubai chocolate They were soooooo delicious. Fluffy and not overly sweet! Which is my absolute favorite way to have any dessert. Definitely a treat. For savory I got the pork cutlet sando. I could eat this sandwich every day for lunch. Lol. The coleslaw gave it such great creaminess to the sandwich. It has a bit of a spicy kick but nothing that's overbearing. I highly recommend this item! For drinks, I grabbed a Thai ice tea. As recommended. It was very different in both flavors and texture. I also grabbed an iced latte. Everything was delicious! If you are in the area, make sure you guys go check them out! What an experience! I've been wanting to try the Japanese Fluffy Pancakes for years, but found today as the perfect day! Fluffy Fluffy Go's pancakes surpassed my expectations in taste, texture, service, cute factor! I absolutely enjoyed butter colored pancake sign, cute hand-drawn signs, rubber stacks of fluffy pancakes inviting you to touch them and see the scale. This was a sumptuous indulgence appealing to all the senses. As this was my first time experiencing them, Joanne was incredibly helpful with helping me choose what to get. She greeted us with a sample of the Oreo Pancakes which had a delicious sweetness and crunch. I knew though that this would be good for another more dessert-focused meal. I was looking for eggy, fluffy, and not overly sweet. I found that in the signature pancakes! The cream has light sugar, but most of the sweetness came from the generous topping of fresh fruit. We actually were offered an added topping of the fruit which wasn't needed, but appreciated. I ordered the iced Fluffy Fluffy latte, that could also be made without sugar and all the fluff. It was a perfect pairing. My friend order the tiramisu as our second option. This was certainly more decadent with a mixture of mascarpone and cream cheese. The bitter chocolate was a perfect balance to the sweetness of the cream. My friend ordered the hot Spanish latte richly coated with sweetened condensed milk. On first bite, we both said "wow!" I've had few meals that inspire such an immediate, impulsive reaction. I honestly would recommend everything we had and hope to do this again soon. If you are someone who likes a lot of topping, I'd recommend getting an extra side of cream. The bottom pancake does not have a coating, but you can simply add the extra cream between the stack so that every piece of pancake is covered in the cream. There is also an extensive savory menu. You can get Katsu sandwiches, rice bowls, or onigiri. They also had crispy tofu options, so there's something for everyone. The drink options certainly are a nice contribution to what's available at Newport Mall. I really wish Fluffy Fluffy Go lots of success! read more

Wasn't sure what to expect, but I gave this mall spot a try because I love Japanese souffle pancakes and katsu sandos. Did not disappoint! The cakes were airy, and the sauce (original) was just the right amount of sweetness; would probably try the blueberry cheese one next. I like that we have a fluffy pancake place in Jersey. Kind of wish it wasn't at the mall but I'll take what I can get. Pancakes are eggy and soft!
