Visited this place since we were craving egg puffs and it was not bad! There is a $10 credit card minimum and their stuff is priced okay. Indivual egg puffs (larger ones) were around $3.50 each which was kind if pricey, but they were good. Egg puffs were around $8 each depending on what flavor. Corn croissant was $7.5 but it's honestly a hit or miss! It was a miss for most of us since we didn't like the burnt taste of the corn mixed in with everything else. Also, the edges are not sweet and it's only sweet in the center. It would be better if it was evenly distributed Overall not a bad experience, I would probably stop by for just the egg puffs next time!

Had a day off and was influenced to explore Flushing, ending with a good dinner. NOTE: 1 Golden Pancake has a credit card minimum $10. BRING CASH for the $7.50 Corn Egg Tart. 1 Golden Pancake is just a few blocks from the subway. Why did pr-stitution on 40th Rd. seem to increase when at the same time so many families & diners walk down the narrow sidewalk for the duck bao stall, fish & pickled mustard place, lots of great restaurants & to White Bear?? It doesn't make any sense - those ladies block the sidewalk. Anyway - the little food court (nice facade) where 1 Golden Pancake also has the viral Taiwanese fried chicken, a mochi donut place, a busy rice platter place. The menu for the food stall seems to have expanded to include creme puffs & egg rolls (the crispy french-style flutes, but the machine is currently broken). The Corn Egg Tart was about a 5 minute wait. Reading another review I asked them if they can warm it up, but I think something was lost in translation and the grilled corn on top was slightly cold, but the rest of the pastry was room temperature. This pastry was average at best; the custard was a bit runny, first impression of the puff pastry was that it was a bit standard - like a Costco pastry. It was easy cutting into the grilled corn on top, but it had no sweetness (even if it is summer), there were corn kernels mixed into the custard. It might've had two different types of custard, one a little bit darker layered on the other. But the filling had zero sweetness - I don't like my pastries too sweet, this was even less than that "not-too-sweet" flavor. It did start tasting a little bit better as I start eating more of it and finished it. They give you a disposable wooden knife and fork. It's pretty light and doesn't make you feel gross. The item is definitely overpriced (but understand the labor and stall rental fees). I want to support small businesses, and woman and minority-owned businesses and hope they do well; but this item was underwhelming.

The Corn Croissant Egg Tart is proof that God exists, and she's a pastry chef who intended all humans to enjoy processed sugar. How else can you explain the existence of this glorious marriage of sweet corn, creamy custard and flaky pastry? You can't, you atheist heathen, so stop hesitating and effing eat this already.

Not worth the hype and I would not recommend this to anyone at all. After seeing it on Tiktok and having a CRAVING for egg tarts, I decided to check out this spot on my to-go list. 1 Golden Pancake is located in a tight food alley in Flushing, alongside a number of other food stalls. They have some seating but it's primarily meant for grab-and-go. I got their corn croissant egg tart, but because they have a $10 minimum for credit cards, I also picked up their salad and pork floss egg pastry. I was honestly happier with their egg pastry as the egg crust was good. But, I did think it was a bit of a scam for $4 for a tiny pastry filled with the smallest amount of pork floss and lots of mayo. The corn croissant egg tart left me heavily disappointed. Although the corn was good, the egg tart didn't really have any eggy flavor and just tasted like cream. Moreover, the dessert was very cold when I ate it and not crispy at all. Would not recommend.

As a corn lover, I had to check out the corn croissant egg tart that's been circulating on IG. Store is tucked away in a little food court with other stalls. We were handed the pastry immediately but was disappointed to discover it was cold. I expected the pastry to be warm. Was decent after we re-heated at home - but probably won't be returning. $10 minimum for credit card

They have cloud pancakes, waffles, and cream puffs that are so cute with smiles on them! Great option while in flushing.

Superseded my expectations. Everything was Delisosourusrex. Tje viral corn tart was dummer in my mouth. Sweet corn. Paured perfect. Outrageous pavlova was for the foodie who loves complex flavors in your mouth. Like eating clouds of sweet , salty, and orange. Too die for. The strawberry tart was more familiar Delisous strawberries and tart. The mango had fresh mango and the mango inside almost like pulp. Again fantastic. The banana yummy and beautiful. Theres a new one coming out Fridays. I tasted it. Outrageous 10 star. The caramel strawberry cheese tart. It was my favorite. Tina and Jessie and other worker were the kindest.

Tried this corn thingy!!! Not worth $7.50!! Cream is tasty & it should be eaten on the spot since it gets hard!!

Went to get the viral corn egg tart croissant. The croissant was nice and crispy, but I wouldn't say this was an egg tart filling, more like a runny corn custard. Felt it was a little pricey for what we got.

This is a small stall located in Flushing and known for some of their innovative foods. I got their corn croissant and smiling egg waffles. I got four of their egg waffles and had their boba, matcha, taro, and egg tart!

Came back to 1 Golden Pancake to try their corn custard croissant egg tart ($7.50) that I saw on TikTok! I was a little taken aback by the price as the pastry was not particularly large but I was still game to give it a go. It had a crispy puff pastry base, with a custard center and some roasted corn on top. I wasn't sure if the custard had turned bad overnight, as it had a distinct tart flavor that reminded me of cream cheese. I expected the custard to be more eggy and sweet in flavor, like a traditional egg tart. Overall, a little disappointed in the egg tart (even more so if it ended up being that I ate a bad pastry).

This location is a little hard to find. Once you enter the space, you walk down a hallway and it's at the the end, to your left. There is a little eating area with some art on the walls. The egg tarts take some time to make. My daughters loved them and got a kick out of the faces on them. It was worth the wait. The egg tarts were $3.50 each and cheaper if you get more.

Eggcellent soufflé pancake! We haven't tried anything here that we don't like yet. Formerly Eggcellent Soufflé Pancakes, but they had a change of ownership, hence, the change of name (I like the pun name better lol). Still in the same location, still the same good desserts, with a more expanded menu Their soufflé pancake was the first soufflé pancake we've ever had and they set the bar high. We have tried soufflé pancakes at other places with more reviews and seem very popular from the east coast to the west coast, but they all tasted pretty eggy compared to here. Our go to each time is the strawberry soufflé pancake that comes with strawberry, blueberry, and yogurt (also mint before, but no longer, they should add them back for a better presentation). The yogurt definitely enhances the flavor and goes so well with the berries. Other places would use whipped cream instead. Their cream filled egg puff is so good too. I wasn't sure id like it so only got one, the bubble milk tea. The boba is perfectly chewy, and the cream has a great tea flavor. I could eat 3-4 of them lol The reasons for the 4 stars instead of 5 are the slow service, food temperature, and seatings. We ordered only 1 soufflé pancake, 1 egg puff, and the wait was at least 20mins. We were the only customers too. Also, we came over 1.5hrs before closing, and all the chairs were already stacked up on top of the tables. The small food court that they're located in is not really meant for dining here especially being so small too, but if chairs and tables are there, at least make them available to customers during business hours. Last but not least, everything was made to order. The egg puff even has a warning that the inside might be hot. Yet, both of our items were room temperature. Not sure how since they were made right there and then. Regardless, we will keep coming here at least 1 or twice every time we are in Flushing until we can find something just as good or better somewhere else. Until then, see you again soon 1 Golden Pancake!

Lady Blue has saved me twice now, when needing to grab dinner before a Broadway show. Yesterday (Sat) we got last minute tickets to an 8pm show and had to quickly find a place for dinner. Many of the spots in the Theater District were already booked from 5:30-7:30. Some were just way overpriced. I had been to Lady Blue before and liked it, and they had 6pm availability. When we arrived, it was lively but not unbearably crowded. The place is small with a few booths, but surprisingly the hostess brought the two of us to a full booth. It felt nice and luxurious! And we did not have to wait or fight for the table at all. Our waitress was very attentive, checking on us multiple times. As others have mentioned, this place is much more than a cocktail bar - they serve a wide variety of American food (flatbreads, burgers/sandwiches, entrees) - however the cocktails are fun and interesting too. My friend got the Magic Mermaid and I got the Chai Fashioned cocktail. Hers was so fun - blue in a fishbowl looking glass with a tail fin sticking out. Mine was a unique take on the typical Old Fashioned filled with spices. Next we got bacon-wrapped dates to start - absolutely delicious. Perfect mix of sweet and savory flavors of bacon, blue cheese, and date. For mains, we both got the Lady B Burger, which was a step up from the regular burger - we were able to order as we liked it (I got the bacon on the side). It also comes with a salad but you can pay extra for fries or tots. I got truffle fries, which hit the spot. The atmosphere was fun and relaxed - the music was kind of a remix of 70s hits and newer stuff. We were able to eat at comfortable pace, pay, and leave with plenty of time before our show. I will definitely be back!

I had their version of the lemon drop as well as another cocktail not on happy hour, one of their many espresso martinis. Cute place but I probably won't be back.

It was our first time eating at a Friedman's location. It had a nice diner feel to it, with a mix of booths and tables. The brunch menu has a variety of breakfast items, salads, sandwiches and burgers, starters, and entrees (fish tacos, grain bowl, fried chicken). I like that several of the items are naturally gluten free, and some can be made gluten free by request. We decided to go with three breakfast items from the brunch menu: I got the shakshuka, my sister got the Nova Benny, and we got the lemon ricotta pancakes to share. All 3 dishes were great. The shashuka came with grilled ciabatta, perfect for dipping into the sunny side eggs and tomato sauce. My sister loved that the poached eggs and smoked salmon of the Nova Benny came on top of a crispy potato latke. The pancakes were fluffy and the lemon ricotta and lemon zest elevated their flavor. Our server was friendly and attentive, and he asked us if we had any allergies when he took our order. He came by several times to check on us and refill water. I would return to Friedman's when I'm in the Herald Square area, or check out one of their other locations in the city.
