In the two times coming here, I've managed to miss the brunch crowd, but there's a line forming outside passed noon. Service was great too - fast serving and water quickly refilled. The space was a little tight but manageable. The food, both savory and sweet, was excellent. My absolute favorite was the smoked salmon Benedict - salmon served on hash brown with smoky and peppery greens on the side. The salmon and hashed brown combo was out of this world, and I came back twice to eat it. I'm less into the sweet plates but the Banana Creme Brulee Pancake and Blue Belly Pancake were both a treat. Looking forward to coming back again if the smoked salmon Benedict is still on the menu.
Belly Cake is a small but comfy restaurant in Bayside. Our party of 4 sat outside on a perfect morning. Ice water would have been nice but we got lukewarm water. The prices were slightly on the high side on some items. Note that this is a cash, zelle, venmo only establishment. The waitress was friendly. I ordered a Farmer's Plate with 2 eggs, sausages, home fries, and greens, and a Pineapple Vita-C fruit drink. My brother and sister split a Farmers Plate with avocado instead of sausages. My wife ordered Truffle Egg Toast and Beet Juice. I'll give the Farmers Plate an "A" for presentation, but tastewise it was standard fare. However, the Pancakes and fresh Juices were excellent, absolutely scrumptious. My sister gives the place 5 stars, my brother 4 1/2 stars, but my wife and I give it 4 stars which is not bad at all. Overall, recommend and I will be back to try other menu items and juices.
Been wanting to try this brunch place on Bell Boulevard in Queens for awhile! Came on a Saturday afternoon with friends and we got seated right away. The place is known for their pancakes and they have a huge variety! I was debating between the blueberry pancakes or the banana brulee pancakes. I went with the blueberry pancakes and it was delicious! Lots of blueberry inside the pancakes and blueberry compote on top. The pancakes were fluffy and flavorful without being too sweet or overload. My boyfriend and I also shared a salmon eggs benedict on the seasonal menu. It was one of the best salmon eggs benedict I've ever had. The portion was perfect - two decent sized Benedicts with a small salad on the side. The best thing is that the Benedict is not on an English muffin, but a hash brown. The service was great as they came by several times to ask if we were ready to order before we actually ordered. They were also very attentive in refilling our water cups. The place is relatively small so I can see how it gets crowded. There is a restroom in the rear for customers. One final tip is that this place does not accept credit cards - only cash, Venmo or Zelle! Would definitely be back for the salmon eggs Benedict, to try other pancakes, and their drinks as well.
I really enjoyed this place. The different variations of pancakes or Asian style instead of the heavy American style. We've tried two different types and they are excellent. We've also had some breakfast food foods which were on the healthier side and very tasty. The staff is friendly and helpful. The restaurant is small, but has numerous tables.
This place was really cute! It's a nice little store with cafe vibes that serves delicious food. We got the vanilla latte to try along with a regular small americano (not depicted). The drinks were okay, but the food is where this place really stood out. We got a side of tater tots to share because I love everything potato and out was definitely the right choice. The tater tots came out nice and hot and had the perfect crunch to it! It was a little hard to eat because it broke apart as we stabbed it hit that wasn't an issue because it just meant that inside the crispy exterior, the interior was still perfectly soft! I got the Strawberry Shortcake Stack which I was a little worried might be too sweet for the morning but the tang of the strawberry syrup paired perfectly with the not too sweet pancakes and whip cream. The only sweet part was really the maple syrup which allowed the pancakes flavor to shine through. My boyfriend got the Big Belly Wrap which was also delicious. I stole a bite and had to contemplate whether or not I wanted to return it to him. There are quite a bit of ingredients inside but all of the flavors went so well together and were married by the flavor of the cheese! The salad was also great! The dressing was very light which I always appreciate because I hate it when my salads just taste like dressing. The service was very quick and the servers were nice as well. All sweet and savory options were really good but I will be back for those tater tots and other items on their menu that I was contemplating on!
Take Out Order - No forks/No knives No napkins. $12 pancakes 4 stars, maple butter was good. $9 truffle tater tots 1 star, very oily. Seemed like they used old oil, they were crispy but so much oil I stopped after eating 5 tots. $3 Tip. Walked in, old man said "can I help you". No good morning, no hello, no hi..... really? Ive been in customer service my whole life. The McD***** hot cakes are a quarter of the price with great service I wanted to eat this in my car but since there were no utensils I had to get home to eat them. 30min drive and $25 later I ate cold food. I should not have to go back and ask for anything especially when the service was mediocre. Will never go back here.
I loved this place. The vibes are nice the people were nice & even the patrons were nice. We almost walked out because they only take cash & Venmo. One of us remembered we had Venmo so we decided okay we'll try it. Then we walk in they said it was a 20 minute wait. We then again thought if it's worth it & one of the patrons said it absolutely is. So we decided to stay and so happy we did. We had the Big Belly Wrap, The Apple Crumb Pancakes & the Matcha Pancakes. Everything was so good. We would absolutely come back. The owner or manager Joe was so funny and welcoming. I also ordered a matcha latte which was also good. Things to know: Parking in Bayside as you know is a hit or miss. CASH OR VENMO ONLY
I came back for another round. The BEC sandwich is a good classic bacon, egg and cheese if that's what you're craving. The matcha brulee pancake is exactly that except you can pour melted butter on top. I had to order another chicken melt wrap. It was delish! If you come on a weekday morning, it is not busy compared to the weekends of course.
Loved this place so much! The pancakes were light and fluffy, and fruits were fresh, i ordered the skinny Bella and green doctor. It was so yummy! I came here around 7:30 AM and was served right away, there was nice ambience with soothing music, the bathrooms were clean, service was nice. Everything was impressive! I think I found my new favorite breakfast spot. Decided to come here with my daughter for breakfast. I got the blueberry pancakes, eggs, turkey bacon and cold cream ice latte in the flavor mocha crumb. The food was phenomenal. The pancakes came with maple butter syrup and it was a hit with my daughter. The coffee is one of the best I had in a long time. It was the perfect mix of sweet and strong. The service was fast and the restaurant was clean. Definitely worth the visit. read more
We ordered the egg Benedict with ham and a tirimisu pancake. Tirimisu pancake is not on their menu anymore but my friend asked and they made it for us. The pancakes are so fluffy with a creamy tirimisu frosting on top, with mapel butter on the side which went so well with all the flavors. They used hash browns for egg benedicts and they had the perfect runny yolk soaking the deep fried hash browns. Texture and flavors are very good. The service was very nice too, I will definitely bring other friends and family back here read more
A good place for breakfast. Got the matcha pancakes which was good. The banana brulee was better. Its moist on the inside and crispy around the edges. The home fries in their platters are also great. The orange juice is fresh squeezed. Service was good. read more
It a small quaint spot and extremely Delicious! They have a dish with smoked salmon on a crispy potato patty with a hollandaise sauce omgggggg it's so good and never disappoints. I've ordered it a couple times and it never misses the mark. Always perfect with top tier service. read more

Ive been coming here ever since it opened! The staff are very nice and there is plenty of seating! I came on a friday during lunch time and it wasnt that busy at all. We got two drinks and four dishes for 70 dollars. I got the BEC sandwich which is one of my fav things on the menu and the banana pancakes! I would come here everyday if I could! I was looking for a traditional breakfast place and accidentally found this place. After checking the menu decided to check it out. It's cash or Venmo only. It's a small little place with some seating inside. I was seated right away and handed menus. They have a decent assortment of drinks and interesting breakfast sandwiches. I just wanted some bacon and eggs. After putting in the order along with some ginger lemon tea, I waited. The food came out fairly quickly. It looked pretty. I liked the bread. It wasn't your typical white toast but crusty sour dough bread toasted. The eggs were done right if bland. I guess you have to add your own seasoning. The home fries looked crispy but were soft. The bacon was perfectly crispy. The salad added some color and texture. Overall it was a good breakfast. read more

My friend recommended to come here for brunch since she has said it was good the last time she came. Her recommendation was on point. We were seated fairly quickly and I ordered their caramel iced cappuccino. It was heavenly; loved the white foam at the top and it had the perfect amount of sweetness with the caramel. We ordered over easy eggs, bacon, avocado, salad and roasted potatoes with a side of pancakes to share. I don't know what part of that plate was my favorite; all the flavors mixed so well and the pancakes were so fluffy. The syrup that they gave was thick and unlike other syrups I had tried before. The roasted potatoes were seasoned so good and I left this place very satisfied. Keep in mind they only take cash or Venmo. Will be returning ! read more

Matcha brulee pancake - 5/5 - very good. The top is sweet and works well when you eat all 3 layers at once. There's a side of white chocolate which seemed too watery. I didn't think it was necessary. Pancakes were fluffy too. Big belly wrap - 5/5 - very good and savory. Great choice for a filling breakfast! Hojicha Latte - 4/5 - a bit too sweet for my taste. Hojicha flavor is not strong, but it's good enough. Service was slow before only 9am as there were 4 tables with customers and only 1 person working the front. More help came in after 9am. Not recommended if you are in a rush. No parking lot, but we found a spot around the block. read more
Solid brunch spot with pretty good pricing (cash only!!). HOWEVER, you have to go in there knowing and expecting for the service to be slow. My friends and I came here for a Sunday brunch around 1pm. We put our name/phone number down and were told it was going to be a 20 min wait. We get a call that a table is ready around the 15 min mark. There's both indoor and outdoor seating. Once we placed our order, it was around 30-40 min before our food came out. I was warned about the wait time so I didn't mind getting the chance to catch up with my friends but I can imagine the hangryness I would feel if I wasn't aware. The food was so good. The pancakes where tasty without being to sweet and I love the crunchy corners, the BEC sandwich was fancy, on a brioche bun with caramelized onions, fluffy eggs, and turkey bacon with a nice chipotle mayo that surprisingly went very well with everything. The atmosphere in the restaurant was clean and quaint and also their restroom was very clean. Five stars all around. The server worked the room well, for a busy Friday morning. read more

Best pancakes I've had in a long time, and I've enjoyed some really good ones elsewhere. I tried the cream brûlée pancakes, orange juice with side of ham. Wife went with the classic: eggs over easy potatoes and bacon. All of it was delicious. The pancakes had a perfect fluff, the cream was delicious but never got messy. The seasoning of everything was just right. It's hard to see how pancakes can be so different from place to place, this place proves they can be. Recommend a visit. read more

Cute cozy spot for brunch with a couple of tables inside and outside! Remember to bring cash, as it's cash only! Both sweet and savory menu options sound sooo good with many sandwich/wrap options and of course, pancakes! We really enjoyed the Blue Belly which were light, fluffy pancakes with blueberry compote. Already packed on Sunday at 9am but seating was available and all food came out in about 25 min. They let us know how long it would take when we ordered. Blue belly 8/10 The pancakes are always great, this blue berry version is slightly tart. Cold cream latte 8/10 The cream is thick and sweet, it is an iced drink and the option I picked was vanilla with cinnamon. The other option I think is salted caramel. Ribs and mashed potatoes 7/10 Good portion of meat but nothing unique. Includes salad, eggs. The mashed potato was average. read more

I came here one year ago. I thought it was the best pancake in NY. But I returned and brought my friends here during Christmas week. I think the taste is not that good as before. The Tiramisu pancake was my favorite, but now is much thinner than before. Christmas tree pancake is cute, but the taste doesn't stand out anymore. Earl Gray Vanilla Latte taste so weird, like medicine. Don't recommend. I like the Grill Chicken Sourdough because the sourdough is very crispy. I sat in front of the Kitchen door. I think that's is the worst spot in the whole store. Staffs walks back and forth from the kitchen to the floor, whenever they open the kitchen door, the smoke came out. When I go home, my whole body smells like a bacon. It's was not a good experience to though, I don't think I'll come back again. read more

This place is good for breakfast/brunch. Parking in this area is not that difficult to find just need to park within the local residence. Service was good and just be aware it's cash and Venmo only. Small spot but food is good and the prices are fair. I had the matcha pancakes for the first time they were good and everyone enjoyed their food. The chocolate pancakes were a delight our little kiddo loved them. I had their cafe latte with oat milk it was surprisingly good. read more

A tad too sweet for me, but kids loved them. The truffle egg toast (and other toasts) are small portions, so if you're expecting an average american diner portion, then be ready to add on some sides. But given the prices, the portions are very appropriate. I do wish they offered real stainless steel utensils rather than plastic. They also offer some great smoothies and fresh juices. My star rating legend: 5: A+ Worth a special journey (ie. I would go out of my way, maybe even take a flight somewhere just for this; exceptionally amazing) 4: A excellent, a must try, solid place 3: B good; nothing extraordinary, but would definitely go again 2: C personally would never go again (unless invited by someone and I didn't get to pick the place), but I can see how others might find something appealing 1: Fail. Been meaning to try this spot for quite a while after a friend recommended it when I mentioned wanting pancakes. Took a minute, but am so glad to finally have tried it. It's a small homey spot located between lots of other bustling shops on Bell Blvd. We came here on a weekend afternoon and while the store has a good amount of people already, we didn't have to wait. Note the establishment is accepting just cash and venmo for payment and not card! In short to sum up our visit, it was quite a delicious feast and the staff was very courteous and friendly. We ordered quite a bit between two people and somehow managed to eat 90+% of this (as someone who barely had space in the stomach as a pregnant lady, I surprisingly could not stop eating). We ordered probably enough for 4 people... which included the farmers plate, tater tots, a side of lox, a latte, a soup, and the matcha pancakes. All of the food was quite to my personal liking--felt mostly no frills but delicious. The staff was attentive and refilled our waters quite a few times, so the only small suggestion I'd have is for the to leave bottles of waters on the table so it could be possibly easier for them. Highly recommend this spot and cannot wait to go back again and possibly try other menu items! read more
The place is smalled. It was packed. There are only 6 tables. If you go, I would recommend to call ahead. Service: the owner I assume (man) and the waitress are nice. They served us 4 small glass of water. Food. Blue Belly. My daughter didn't like it. I thought it was ok. Definitely better than ihop. Avocado toast: the sandwich is so small. It is like the size of my hand. It reminds me of a old Chinese kung fu movie, that the guy just got a pea on a dish. Farmer plate and skinny belly are decent. We also ordered smoothie and matcha Latte. Matcha Latte is good, but smoothies was overrated. Total bill cost me $80 including tip. read more

Belly Cake (pancake) is located in a convenient location in the business district in Bayside NY. In fact it's probably the first restaurant after crossing the main road. Stepping inside, I am attracted to the beautiful and attractive decor. The walls are lined with wood panels that reflect the beauty of this restaurant. We were greeted with a warm welcome and the server was very patient. He was attentive and ready to provide quick service. I had pumpkin pancakes with coconut cream and Candy pecans with a syrup maple syrup. The pancakes were really delicious as I do love pumpkin and they were proportioned well and not too big, but the sausages were okay, they were wet and greasy. If you love pancakes, this is your place to dine. I most likely would return to have the other pancake dishes. read more
