Worst Chinese restaurant I've ever been to. Microwaved food, awful service, and rude staff. STAY AWAY!

The restaurant is very elegant on the inside and they do offer outdoor dining. We chose the bar…read morearea since it had dimmer lighting. Immediately upon sitting down we saw that the prices were insane for what the menu items actually were. We ordered the shrimp tempura appetizer, which was $18 for 4 shrimp. It was very good, but worth it...? I don't know. The sweet potato croquettes had a great texture on the interior and exterior, but absolutely no flavor inside. The dim sum was delicious, but also overpriced for just 4 small soup dumplings. I ordered the stir-fried udon, and the noodles themselves were delicious, but the chicken was tough/overcooked and also had no flavor. The organic grilled chicken was a bit burnt on the outside and too salty. It was a $32 plate for just chicken and a few veggies-- it didn't even come with white rice or anything. For this price point, I'd expect that I'm paying for at least great service. But our waiter left us alone and only checked on us maybe twice the whole time? We were waiting about 15 minutes just to get the check because he'd completely disappeared. The restaurant wasn't crowded, and we were one of just two tables in the section, so I'm not sure why he left us alone for so long. Eventually, two other employees checked us out and packed our food after waiting that long. Overall, it was pretty disappointing and we left wishing we'd just gone somewhere else. I've gone to Japanese restaurants and had the same amount of food (if not more) for better quality, better service, and better price.

They have a strict time…read morepolicy which is understandable At the end of our meal we ordered dessert to split with the table, The banana matcha dessert. Guess what?? They said it was all sold out!!! How could it be??? We were a 6pm seating and the restaurant opens at 5, seems very unlikely. Seems like they are trying to boot us out of the restaurant before our allotted time, could it be???? We left unhappy and unfulfilled. But we were curious. Did they just lie to us to get us out to seat another group. Is it possible?? Time to find out.... I called the restaurant on the way home and said we wanted a reservation for 6 and asked if they had our favorite Matcha Banana dessert available.. they said YES. I asked again and they said they had it. OH My!!!! I felt robbed of the tasty treat that would have capped off a perfect evening. We spent $300 for our dinner and we were still treated like this?.... WOW. I'll be eating my Sushi somewhere else for now on. Raw fish is raw fish, but customer service is something super special and unfortunately Sushi Bar missed the mark on this. No coveted 3 licks award!!!! Get your sushi at Whole Foods and save $280!!!!!! Bunch of Gabones!!!

She was offered an alternative table outside, and I was actually going to offer her our table inside since she seemed upset, until she vindictively threatened the waiter she was going to post on yelp. But hey... "Karen" is a fitting name. This is one of the best restaurants bar none. We go here regularly. It is small and you may have to wait a little, but totally worth it. Not only best sushi, but the best food in Fairfield county.

We had the Salmon Tataki appetizer, blistered shishito peppers, miso black cod, and then an array of sushi and rolls. We also had the rolls set and sushi set. Both came with a house salad and miso soup. They sushi and rolls were a generous portion and we all helped finish up. For dessert we shared the chocolate mouse cake which was delicious. Creamy but not overly sweet. Perfect. Service was also excellent. Knowledgeable, friendly and patient. They were also hustling the whole time we were there as they were busy but they kept coming by to refill our water and check in on us. It's a small space but they turnover pretty quickly, definitely family friendly and comfortable but it's still nice, clean and good for a nice, meal out.

Upon arriving at the restaurant, saw it was packed with guests dining in during lunch hour. The place is relatively small with sushi sanseis working in a corner station. A staff member handed me the order right away. Both the sushi rolls were packed in a small box, with some wasabi and ginger. It can with tiny bottle of soy sauce and a nice pair of chopsticks. The sushis tasted decent but were way too small is size and quantity. Each roll had 6 pieces only, not even 8 like most places do. I was still hungry after eating both rolls.
