There aren't many good Chinese restaurants nearby me, but this place has been my go to place for many reasons. I suppose one of the main reasons I come back is that I feel I'm never cheated out of my money. Food: I am in love with their chow mien! I always make sure to get both my sides chow mien instead of fried rice. You can also get their white rice too which is a bit "meh." Yes, white rice can vary, don't judge me! To be honest one of the reasons Panda Wok receives four stars instead of five is because of the meat items. I really only love two and the rest are just ok. For example, I've ordered their mushroom chicken, teriyaki chicken and BBQ pork, and they weren't anything worth ordering again. That said, their orange chicken and sweet and spicy chicken is my go to, and I basically will eat there when I'm feeling both of those items. Also, I absolutely love the portions they give you! If you're hungry or want to have leftovers later, I highly recommend eating here! They pile on the chow mien, but don't overrun it to the point where it takes away from the meat items. In fact, sometimes, they will throw a few more on top of the chow mien, which makes this fluffy person happy! ^_^ No Panda Express-like portions here, and the food is better too! In terms of the sides, I have had their eggrolls, and they are ok. Nothing special. They do have potstickers on special order and they are pretty decent. Although you do need to have some time to spare because they make them fresh. Staff: Never had an issue with a staff member. In fact, they have been polite and easy to talk to, which is a welcoming experience to me since most similar establishments have the awkward silence and absolutely no social skills. Here, it almost feels like seeing old acquaintances, and I'll take that any day over awkward silence. They are also helpful enough to offer samples if you aren't quite sure what to order. I should have taken this route with the mushroom chicken... Atmosphere: This place is not decked out with too much decor. It's definitely a comfortable place to eat your food. The dining area is kept really clean, there are a few decorations but they aren't overbearing to the point where it is blatantly obvious that they are trying to sell to the customers that they are indeed a Chinese inspired restaurant. You know, as if you couldn't figure it out by the sign outside. What really impressed me are the restrooms! I try never to use the bathrooms, especially at fast food places. But to my surprise, it is kept really clean. Kudos to the staff on a job well done! Price: In terms of price, it costs about the same as any ordinary Chinese restaurant. If you get just a meal, it will cost you between $5-10 per person depending on what you order. In my case, it generally runs me about $7. Still cheaper than Panda Express. But to me, the food is much cheaper because of the quantity you receive for each meal. I've even seen bowls stacked to the brim! Also, they do have punch cards that are worth getting if you attend frequently like I do. Fill up your card, and they give you a free meal! They do the same thing for their Boba Teas! That's caring about your customers right there. What does kind of disappoint me is they charge if you use a debit/credit card. They aren't the only ones, but still disappointing nonetheless. Overall: They may not have the best food I've ever tasted, but they are still good enough to keep me as a regular customer. The staff is great, the dinning experience is great, and my wallet... well maybe not great, but the hurt is much more bearable with this place. :) read more

I happened to stumble upon this place after a trip to Starbucks (which is located in the same center). I was starving because I'd left my lunch at home, and saw a Jack in the Box, a Mexican food place, and this place - I was in the mood for Chinese food, so I chose Panda Wok. At first glance, it's quite interesting - this is a Chinese food/fried chicken place. I'm still baffled by this fusion of foods, but whatevs, I just wanted some delicious Chinese food. As I walk in, I'm immediately greeted by the girls working behind the counter. They were all very friendly and had a big smile on their face (already a good start). Since it's my first time here, I glance at the food to see what looks good and/or interesting. The guy in front of me orders the "Potato Chicken," so I ask the girl if it's good. She tells me that they only make it on certain days, and offers me a sample... "Yes, please!" I got a two entree plate with chow mein/fried rice, orange chicken, and some potato chicken. I was shocked that the rice was actually good - I usually opt for all chow mein, because the rice at these places can be so disappointing. The potato chicken was very garlic-y and yummy! And the orange chicken was good. Also, I added a large drink for $1 - so my total was about $7 and I still had leftover food. Overall, a decent place to come if you're really hungry, and know what to expect. None of these places are spectacular, so I don't really know why people walk in expecting a 5-star meal... It's just decent food that fills you up and leaves enough to bring leftovers to work the next day. Duh. I'll definitely come again and try some other things...maybe even the fried chicken! read more

This is the best spot to get some local boba tea. Their boba milk tea is amazing. Happy hour is from 2-5 & it's buy one, get one for $1. I just came from eating here a second time. The food is good with ample portions. I ordered the deep fried jalapeno shrimp this time and got a disturbing surprise. These are whole unpeeled shrimp and I do mean whole. I pulled the tail off the shrimp and dug in and found uncommon elements present. I thought is was a string or something but found it to be the legs. Upon inspection of the other shrimp I realized they were indeed complete head, legs, tail, shell and the edible parts too. I brought this to the attention of the counter personnel thinking it an error but was informed that is how they prepare them as they are CRUNCHY that way. I have eaten shrimp around this world we live on and this is a first for me. I am concerned that this may present a choking hazard as well as a food and safety concern. read more

Panda wok is my new favorite place to go. Better than panda express. And the people who work there are extremely friendly and have fun behind the counter. The owners have a personal interest here i believe and something new often happens unlike a common chain store. Check out their homeade sauce too, it the liquid goes good with the chow mein, i try to avoid the seeds that sit at the bottom personally. Its more of a liquid sauce, less thickness. read more

The service was terrible. All three girls up front just wanted to talk to each other and the girl who did help us was rude. They cannot run a card through as credit. Now you have to pre-order chicken and it has to be 4 pieces (which is false advertising because you have a menu with up to 2 pieces) and when I went to order chicken the woman was mad and said I had to wait in line. I was hoping for a BURST of flavor when I stumbled across this strip mall Chinese fast food joint. Although the flavor was just short of a BURST, it was still a decent meal made of fresh ingredients. I had the (lots of baby bella-type) mushroom chicken over fried rice. It was a nice amount of sauce and a dousing of sriracha added an extra kick I needed. I would recommend they ditch the idea of the fried chicken counter that seemed unpopular and instead focus their energy on storing the banana boxes behind the scenes instead of in rows in the hall toward the bathroom...kinda odd! I've been here a handful of times and decided to write a review today. I would normally say it's a good place for some quick food when you have a craving for it in Fontana. It's not great but not terrible. I just felt cheated today. I went in to get Boba (I'm pregnant and had a craving for it). I asked for the happy hour and was told ok. Order two drinks and then when I went to pay I got charged full price for both of my Boba drinks. I asked for a receipt and they said we are out of paper. Ok? Food is not always fresh, me and my family have gotten food poisoning multiple times here so food is a no go here. It used to be amazing 1 year ago but since the change in staff its just horrid. The boba is about the only decent thing here but honestly id rather take my business elsewhere. Not to mention they cut back portions by a lot.
