The mango is green (crunchy and sour), bad ratio of rice to mango and since there's no sauce provided it's inedible. Worst mango sticky rice I've ever had. Waste of money. The place is quaint and small, one may say intimate. We were greeted and immediately took a pick in the "Treat Yourself" spot. Mommee and I were seated and began our shared experience with edamame, unsalted but spicy with garlic. They were steamed and seasoned as a topper rather than together to better infuse the flavors. They were tasty and we had quite a few by the time our entrees: drunken noodles with scallops for Mommee and Thai Curry (red) with tofu for me. We ordered our preferred spice levels and when they arrived, we prayed and dived in! The drunken noodles with scallops impressed my mom, having spent time overseas while in the military, she gave it a thumbs up! I tasted one of the scallops and was pleased! Now, my Thai Curry with tofu was at spice level 6 and did NOT disappoint! The dish was fragrant, the pineapple chunks were sweet and the tofu just right! The coconut milk cooled my palate and really tied the dish together. My personal favorite in a curry is the addition of basil, but not today. The portions were healthy and most of our dishes went home with us. There's an all you can eat menu, of which we didn't order mostly because we were told by the waitress that she preferred the "table" pick from one menu or the other. Pandan Leaves has amazing sushi the food is always fresh delicious. The starters are amazing. I typically get the pork Gyoza but today I got the chicken wings which were fantastic. They also have this amazing all you can eat lunch special during the week today I ordered them on DoorDash and called to make sure I have sauce in the bag and they accommodated me 10 out of 10 I love their food their food. The food here is absolutely amazing!! The service was definitely lacking at some point, but I see they are under new ownership and working actively to improve on this. We have been to around 10 or more AYCE sushi spots in Jax and this is by far the absolute best place. This and Rainbow sushi. We love the Akari roll, and everything is so beyond fresh. The veggies are all crisp and crunchy, the fish is so fresh. The hibachi salmon is the best in all of the sushi spots in Jax. You can tell they use fresh fish for it, not frozen fillets. The prices are very reasonable for us, especially considering my husband can chow down as much as a small bear would The actual vibes in the restaurant is beautiful. Here is my overall review of Pandan Leaves: Ambiance- 3.5/5- It was a small quaint restaurant. Nothing too special but it was nice that they had a nice outdoor spot in the back. They also had a private area in the back which could be utilized for a group. Service- 5/5- The sweetest people! They were very kind and made sure that we were always checked on and made sure our orders. They are Indonesian owned and it was great talking with their team. Food- 4.5/5- Overall, solid and good menu especially for their all you can eat. Portions were generous. Seafood on the sushi was fresh! Definitely coming back when in the area again! read more

The service was fast and friendly, the restaurant was clean, and overall, it's an excellent value for the price. Our first visit didn't go so well because both of our orders were overly seasoned--too spicy and salty--but the AYCE option definitely made up for it this time. A heads-up--be mindful when ordering sushi, as they do charge for any leftovers. However, we had some leftover salad and soup and weren't charged, so it seems the policy applies only to sushi. Ordered a Mexican Sushi Roll(not pictured), it's was okay wasn't a fan of the warm cream cheese. Got a side of fried rice flavor was good but could've used an onion to boost flavor, tad bit on the oily side. Ordered Crab Rangoon, wasn't impressed very oily, a bit over cooked and filling was sweeter than any other Rangoon I've tasted. I decided to try the bulgogi, I normally have it at an all you can eat place but it's always too much. The bulgogi at Pandan is delicious. It has a little more oil than eating directly from a grill but it's still delicious. The meal came with broccoli, rice and cucumbers. The broccoli was good too and the rice with the bulgogi was a perfect combination. The staff was very attentive and my server came at just the right time to ensure I was happy with my meal and ask if I wanted anything else. She would smile if she happened to look up and our eyes met. She was very professional with just the right amount of friendliness. There are 4 booths, 3 tables that seat 4 and a counter for sitting indoors plus outdoor seating. The restaurant isn't big but it's big enough. Their menu is very diverse with curry to kalbi to sushi and other Asian dishes. Many patrons came in as I ate. There was a variety of orders and to me that proves the chef knows their thing. The food came out fairly quick. We ordered the starter platter, most of the food ojbit was good. The wontons were a bit overcooked. For dinner, I had the Thai curry, the bowl makes it look bigger than it actually is. It's was mostly sauce with little actual ingredients. It was also too sweet for me making it hard to enjoy. Amazing experience. Was hesitant to go with other buffet-style sushi spots being my favorite but I 100% recommend! Food was great, the ladies who brought us our food were extremely kind, even talking to my children. The sushi was great, got 4 different types and liked them all. Tried this new restaurant for the first time and didn't have the best experience but may be worth another try... Called for take out and found out that their specials are for dine in only. It was also hard to order, the lady couldn't clarify the meals. We ended up ordering fried rice & pork egg rolls but saw that we got pork gyoza instead of egg rolls when we got home. This is my 2nd visit. My wife mentioned they do an all you can eat menu now, so I figured I'd come and check it out. Honestly, since I personally don't eat sushi or sushimi, the only sections left on the AYCE menu that appeals to me is the appetizer and habachi sections, and perhaps the soups. So I was concerned about the habachi items because I was concerned about the sides such as the plain noodles (would they be too plain and bland?) And typically the grilled veggies usually contain ones I'm not keen on like zucchini, squash, & mushrooms. So what I decided to do was to order a round of items from the appetizer section and then one main item from their regular menu. So, since this is an Indonesian restaurant primarily, I decided to order the Mie Goreng as my main and then I got a spring roll, a chicken wing, a crab rangoon, a fried dumpling, and some crab salad. They provide a paper tick sheet that you write in the item number in each of the 5 boxes. Just one item per box, to not overwhelm the kitchen and reduce food waste. You can always order another round afterwards. I liked my Mie Goreng with steak, though I wish I would've ordered the fried egg sunny side up instead of over easy. The yolk was jammy which doesn't mix in as well with the noodles like a runny yolk would have. The steak was decently tender. I asked for a 5 for spice level, but felt that for me it was more like a 3. It took a while before the spice kicked in for me. All the apps I tried were good and cooked to order. The difference between the crab salad on the AYCE menu and the Kani salad on the regular menu is that the the Kani has some crab roe on top and perhaps more cucumber mixed in. Not something I'd miss anyway. I only got one round of items from the AYCE menu because I was adequately full after the Mie Goreng. Economically, what I did wasn't a cheap meal. Maybe next time I'll stick to the AYCE menu. The service was friendly. The ambiance is OK. It's not fancy. It is a small place. Pictures attached. read more

Gave it a try today. Arrived in time for Happy Hour which is from 3-6 pm. Buy 2 signature Sushi Rolls and receive 1 classic Sushi roll free. Also got a sampling of fried rice and grilled mixed vegetables. Everything was delicious. All you can eat Asian fusion? Yes Please! They have a different menu for lunch and dinner, my favorite item is on the lunch menu and they have always made it for me at dinner. The same has been done for my wife allowing her to get a dinner item on the lunch menu. You can order up to 3 entree/ app items and 3 sushi items at a time. Refills come very quickly so you don't have to get everything at once. Sometimes the hot items and the sushi come at different times and this is nice as you never seem to be waiting. I have never had anything I didn't like, this is often the case with this type of place as they try to compromise quality for variety. Quality is top notch here. We have been about 4 times, always had the same server and will continue to go back. The only complaint I have is the tea. They use fountain tea, this is awful to begin with but serving it at an asian place makes it even worse. We look forward to our next visit soon. read more

Nice little store front/strip mall Asian fusion restaurant near River City Marketplace and JAX airport. Has both indoor and outdoor dining. The waitress was very nice and gave us a private room in the back of the restaurant. The menus includes Thai, Japanese, Korean, Mongolian barbecue, etc., so quite the selection. I got the Thai drunken noodles and an order of Kimchi. Sometimes hard to find good Kimchi around here - this was good. The noodle dish good but nothing too special. My guests got a selection of foods which they all enjoyed. They do have an average bear and wine selection as well. Just stopped in here for a quick lunch. I don't regret my decision one bit! I sat at the bar and the service was quick and responsive. The ambiance was very laid back and relaxed with some tunes playing over the speaker. The food was kind of like tapas, small plates, plenty of food to keep ordering and better yet...the lunch special was $15.99. I got so much food for what I paid for and couldn't be happier!! The sushi was decent, all the apps I tried were perfect and just the right amounts to sample each. I will say the chicken wings...could eat a whole plate of those. I am a sushi lover and have been to all AYCE sushi places in Jax, saw Pandan on instagram and decided to go try it out as it is a new place, I went on Sunday with a few friends to start the place was clean and our server was very sweet they have 2 menu options all you can eat sushi or there restaurant menu which includes other dishes. I did all you can eat sushi and did like it but not for the price it was more expensive than other AYCE sushi places with no added value to their menu for it to be more expensive. Taste was 7/10 service 9/10 the reason of my low rate is that our dinner made 2/3 of us sick the only thing we had that our other friend did not was salmon hopefully was just bad luck. read more
