    Cheese steak or chopped meat?

I upped my rating, as I should give credit for the EXTENSIVE menu and you will have a hard time deciding what to order. Most menu items will also get you soup, bread basket and dessert. Way better than the dinner south of them where you pay for everything. My favorite item, chicken noodle soup, great fat broth and noodles just like I imagine my Jewish grandmother would make, and I'm not Jewish. Most of there soups don't disappoint.

Food was good. Meatloaf a little dry. Soup was delicious. The Menon coconut cake was perfect. My server Aiden was excellent. Nice clean diner with spacious seating. Ambiance is friendly and not hurrying you out. Great place!

We had a very good experience when we visited for breakfast. The diner is impeccably clean and appointed with all the typical decor you would expect. There is a beauty of a dessert case as you enter across from the door, interested in coming back on a future visit for something sweet! Speaking of sweet, our server was super friendly and welcoming. Interestingly the egg based combos come with 3 eggs - most diners come only with two. And the prices are all reasonable. Service was fast, the only significant opportunity was that all of the food was almost unseasoned and bland... nothing that some self added alt and pepper. Plant fix though. Perhaps they err on the side of caution given the more eh... elderly clientele? I'd for sure recommend this place. Give it a try!

Dried food left over on my knife

Very busy at dinner rush, but servers were quick to the table. App sampler was standard fare. Mozzarella sticks and chicken tenders were good, but the buffalo wings were over cooked leaving them quite dry. Had to ask for blue cheese to get them down. Ordered the garlic steak for the meal and upgraded it to the ribeye. It was just fair. The steak was ordered medium but it came well done so it was dry and tough. The steak itself also lacked seasoning. Roasted potatoes were good, but the green beans were standard canned veggies. The waitress definitely meant well, but dirty dishes were not cleared. The app plate was taken away by a bus boy, but the soup and salad dishes remained for the entire meal. After the entrees were done and she asked about dessert, the dirty dishes remained on the table. There's no excuse in the restaurant business to walk back to the kitchen empty handed. Overall, it's a decent little local diner but some things need to be worked on. I wouldn't refuse to go back, but there's another diner not far down the road that has this place beat.

Is this the best Italian restaurant I have ever been to?…read more Actually, yes, it is. And I have been to a lot of Italian restaurants. The wait for a table was 45 minutes, but it was worth every minute. The food was delicious, the service was impeccable, and the atmosphere was wonderful. We ended up being seated in a back patio room and though it was very hot outside (one of those 100 degree days last summer), it was actually very nice in there. The show started with someone asking for our drink order, then coming back with said drinks. After that she brought out some starts on the house, courtesy of chef and owner Joe. We were off to a great start! Soon after she returned to get our dinner order. After that, Chef Joe himself showed up to our table to thank us for visiting his restaurant and ask how we liked things so far. We let him know those starters were perfect...eggplant balls and a corn/tomato salad. Eventually our dinner came. Both dishes were waaaaaaaay more food than either of us expected. I had ordered chicken with mozzarella squares on top and drizzled in balsamic, which was a special created by Chef Joe's wife, according to the menu. My partner got eggplant parm...and wow, what a pile of food it was. Two huge eggplant pieces piled high with delicious sauce and served with some delectable pasta. Chef Joe came back to the dining room awhile later to ask people how their entrees were, and we let him know this was a great experience. I want to go back to Point Pleasant just to get here again. This time I will make a reservation.

When we arrived on a Thursday evening at 6:30pm, the restaurant was almost empty, though it filled up quickly during our meal. The service was fine, nothing particularly memorable but attentive enough. The restaurant spans two floors, with the top floor being brighter and more spacious, creating a nice atmosphere. I especially liked the chandeliers, which added a touch of elegance to the space. In summary, the food was excellent but served in small portions. The complimentary bread was so good that we ordered more, though there was an extra charge. We started with the raw plates, and the oysters were a standout favorite. The snow crab claws were nice but a bit underwhelming, especially given the price. The pasta dishes were all delicious. Since we were sharing among five people, we got a taste of each, since the portions were on the smaller side. We tried all four pastas, with the caviar pasta and rock shrimp pasta standing out as highlights. The homemade pasta was perfectly cooked. The olive-crusted branzino was well done; I was initially worried the olive crust might be overpowering since I'm not a fan of olives, but it was balanced and didn't overwhelm the dish. The lobster/mussels dish and duck were fine but not remarkable. Hanger steak was unavailable at the time. We had a great time, though it was on the pricier side, especially since we also ordered a few bottles of wine.

The food is out of this world, it truly tastes like home made food, the flavoring of every dish is superb. There is not one item on the menu that I don't like. They have the best vodka sauce in the world and their consistency is fantastic. I've eaten here over 15 times already and each time is as good as the last. The portion sizes are huge so you can absolutely share a pasta dish. I strongly recommend doing the following. Get their espresso martini it's truly amazing, for the appetizer do the clams, get the SPAGHETTI ALL'AMATRICIANA, with the calis chicken Parm. For dessert either get the Italian cheesecake or bread pudding with a cappuccino. The servers and staff are incredible. Every night we go they are so friendly, personal and give great recommendations. They always thank you for coming to their restaurant, the owner who's the head chef, is the nicest guy in the world, every-time we eat there he asks us how the food tastes. It's a beautiful cozy restaurant with artwork of Brooklyn and Italian imagery just a great ambiance of the restaurant. I strongly recommend this place, it's a true gem and a must on anybody's list of places to eat at.

I ordered the Hot Katz's Pastrami Sandwich, a Round Knish, Potato Salad, and a classic New York Egg Cream. The pastrami was everything people rave about: incredibly tender, juicy, perfectly seasoned, and piled high on fresh rye bread. Every bite was worth it. The round knish had a crispy, golden exterior with a soft, flavorful potato filling, and the potato salad was fresh, creamy, and a perfect complement to the sandwich. To top it all off, the New York Egg Cream was refreshing and a fun way to experience a true New York classic. The atmosphere is lively, historic, and full of character.
