A definite first time customer at this retail business store. Didn't really get greeted by a customer service representative. Had to browse around and wait until someone actually acknowledged us. We wanted to take a look at some Pandora bracelets and charms. A few of them were not in stock. The prices seemed a bit on the expensive side for some of the little charms. Liked the Silver bracelets and Necklaces the employee suggested. We also took a look at the charm catalog to see a wide range of eclectic designs and creations. Decided on a Silver Bracelet, along with a number of attractive charms. Price came out to close to $300 + tax. I suppose for a one-time buy, it was alright. As a hard working man, I strive to earn so that I can provide...today, I was able to add another smile to my daughters face but, this same transaction resulted in a frown on mine. Long story short; when you 'HAND' your method of payment over to the sales representative (in this case, cash), you should receive your change IN YOUR HAND...especially when it's a store 'MANAGER' returning your change. On a Saturday, I came to visit this location to have a bracelet clean that looked rusted. I was turned away and told they don't do cleanings on the weekend. Well, how about I don't shop your store on the weekend or any other day for that matter because it's not my problem that your jewelry has rusted? Poor quality I believe. Walked in today to pick out a birthday gift for my mom. I got her a Pandora bracelet a few years ago, so I pick up charms for holidays for her. I was the only customer in the store, and the girl at the counter just looked up and smiled at me. I started looking at charms on my own when the assistant manager asked me what I was looking for. She then directed the girl at the counter to assist me. Leen (the girl at the counter) was nice enough but did not seem to be that knowledgable about the product or have sufficient sales training. I wasn't exactly sure what I wanted, but usually sales people ask pointed questions to help figure out what you're looking for. There was none of that, only "this one is nice" and "this one says Mom." The little trays you put the charms you're looking at in were also pretty dirty or old, not something you'd expect in a well-known jewelry store. While this all was happening, the assistant manager (forgot her name but that was the title on her name tag) was arguing with another sales associate regarding a tray that she had made. I tried not to pay much attention, but it was a little off putting that she would reprimand her staff in front of a customer. I eventually walked around the display and found one that I liked, and ended up purchasing that. Checkout was seamless and done on a tablet, no issues there. They did wrap the charm in a box and then in a bag with tissue paper which was a nice touch. I'd come here again to purchase a charm or piece if I already knew what I was looking for. I think the salesman didn't have enough training because he charged me wrong for two of the charms. I tried to return it at a closer location to me but pandora stores are privately owned. I went in for the very first time with my friend to purchase two bracelets for each others birthday gifts. The girl that helped us had to be the most awkward person I have ever encountered in my life. I've worked in retail for years and I'd love to know who trained this girl on her customer service qualities. She made us both feel uncomfortable and just weirded out with her body language, and questions. Who asks "so how long have you guys been friends for?...Is this like a little friendship bracelet type thing?" in the most uncomfortable manner. When we finally were ready to pay, I don't understand why she did not do TWO separate transactions, and when I asked her to she told us she could just split the total in half for two separate cards. She charged my card first, then when she swiped my friends card, APPARENTLY she said it declined. She said she would try it again, but said that for some reason she needed to swipe MY card once again. When doing so my card was then declined. After calling our banks, my friends card that was initially claimed to be declined, the bank said that there was nothing wrong and it should work just fine. MY card however had the chargers and money deducted from my account immediately, and after trying to swipe a second time, it locked up my card as an anti-fraud protection. The girl said that there was nothing she could do and insisted that no charge had gone through. We left empty handed with my card locked and money taken from my account. It had now been 4 days and NOTHING has changed. I have been going back and forth with Pandora to release my money and they have failed to do so, of course every step of the way reassuring me that it was being taken care of and that they did nothing wrong. They had told me the issue would be resolved by today. As of this very moment, my money has still not been rightfully returned. And I have to validate all of my purchases from that day in order to unlock my card. NO BRACELET. Wonderful. WHATEVER YOU DO. DO NOT TRUST THESE PEOPLE. A CHEAP BRACELET IS NOT WORTH THE TROUBLE. The best Pandora! Unlike Springfield, Fair Oaks or Pentagon, this location has the best customer service. A lot of people come into Pandora expecting instant assistance. However it's impossible when there's so many customers all the time! Overall, Josie is the best saleswoman ever! Even when it is extremely crowded, Josie's spirit and knowledge for every piece of Pandora jewelry is the reason I will wait for hours. She helps pair charms or rings with symbolism. The Tyson's Corner, VA Pandora store has the worst customer service, it was bad enough that I will NOT shop there again and neither will my parents or 4 other friends of mine. This is not an isolated event either, every time (at least a total of 6 visits) the service has been horrendous, the waiting time for someone to help us out is at least 10 minutes or more and quite annoying when you just want to purchase a gift card, use a gift card to buy specific beads, or pick up a bracelet that was left for 2 weeks because it was broken and it was not repairable. My most recent visit on February 1 was to pick up my bracelet that had been broken and was simply coming in to pick up a new bracelet since mine was not repairable. This is about the only positive thing I can say about the store is how easily they offered a new bracelet because the clasp was broken, but picking it up was a darn mess! I walked up to the cashier who was helping someone else checkout and the manager (Artie) was hovering behind her. I asked the manager to help me and explained what I needed but she said I needed to wait for a designer to help me.... she wasn't doing anything other than hovering behind the different girls working the floor (BTW, her name tag sported the words "DESIGNER" instead of her name). Once the cashier was done ringing up the people, she asked if she could help me and I went to hand her my receipt and asked to just pick up my new bracelet, but the manager Artie came around again and said I needed to wait because other people needed to be helped that were here before me and that they had been waiting 20 minutes. I asked her why she couldn't help me, her reply was she needed to monitor the floor and make sure her designers were helping customers. The store is not that large and her people are not incompetent, I don't understand why she made me wait instead of just helping me herself. So again I waited, it was probably 15 minutes of standing there near the cashier waiting until it was finally my turn. Artie had walked by me numerous occassions and said just another 2 minutes, then she would go behind one of the designers and watch them do their job and just stand there. When one of the designers finally did get to me, Artie proceeds to walk up behind the girl checking me out and just stood behind her watching her as she works with me. If I did not know what micro-managing was, I would know now without a doubt! This manager was literally doing nothing but patrolling your tiny store that is visble in every direction from the two checkout stations. She could have easily checked me out herself when I first walked in but I am guessing it was below her to enter my information into the system and just hand me my new bracelet without incident. Artie spent more time explaining to me why she couldn't help me and how it was almost my turn than the young girl did checking me out. Once I was finally helped it was not even 3 minutes from start to finish. I had my receipt, I gave it to her, she checked the size, got my new bracelet, then checked me out. DONE. The manager could have done that as soon as I walked in. WHY DID I WAIT? because the manager needed to "patrol" and bother her 4 employees on the floor helping other customers. I am so disappointed with Pandora... my parents had a similar experience when they went to use Pandora gift cards, after their experience they have sworn off your store and will now only buy your product from Jared's Jewelry. Two of my friends also had a awful experience just buying gift cards and had to wait forever, just to buy gift cards. That is the most idiotic thing I have heard. Was there yesterday to get my two bracelets cleaned. When I picked them up they were just as dull as before. Not pleased at all! Also, the salesperson was not friendly. When I told her that I needed to get my bracelets cleaned she looked at me nonchalantly and said, "I have to see an ID first." I inquired as to why she needed it. She said it is their policy to make sure no one else could claim my bracelets. I proceeded to tell her that I have always gotten my jewelry cleaned there and at other Pandora stores and have only had to sign my name next to a photocopy of my bracelets. By this time, the salesperson got a stern look on her face and insinuated that I wasn't telling the truth. I told her that I didn't mind giving her my ID, but wanted to make sure that she consistently asks for ID from everyone. I don't mind showing ID to friendly sales people as I have nothing to hide. However, the salespeople at this store need to be customer friendly. By the way, that same salesperson was friendly with me when sold me a charm two weeks ago! Really pleased with the customer service I received today. The clasp on my bracelet wasn't working properly and I took it in hoping to get it repaired. They could not repair it so they replaced it, on them, with no hassle at all. Then the sales girl offered to shine my bracelet in the machine and told me to come back 30 minutes later to pick it up- they take an ID and xerox your bracelet with the ID to make sure nothing gets lost. When I picked up the bracelet, It looked brand spanking new- ooooooo, shiny! I ended up buying a charm and the girl was patient while I looked and decided what I wanted. After wanting a Pandora Bracelet for quite sometime, I decided to purchase one for my Birthday. I went into the Pandora Tyson Corners store to make my purchase on Thursday July 2 and should have follow my instincts and not make the purchase because Tyler, the Assistant Store Manger seem a bit leery (as if my sister and I was wasting his time) and kept holding on to the items and moving things very quickly like we were going to take something. I decide to purchase the silver bangle bracelet along with two charms and and to rose gold clips which were all placed on the bracelet by Tyler. I put the bracelet on for my Birthday the next day and had it on for about an hour before I notice that one of the clips had fallen off. I was really upset because I had just purchased the bracelet and only had it on for a little over anhour and a clip was already missing. I contacted the store on the 4th and spoke with Tyler and told him what happen and that I thought that maybe he did not put the clip on right for it to have fallen off on my first wear. in a very nonchalant way, he stated (his attitude seem to be the same as when I made the purchase) that I should look for the clip in the box or the bag it came in. I told him that I knew it was not in the bag or box because it was on the bracelet when I put it on. He went on to say that it was basically my lost and there was noting the store could do. I went into the store on December 23rd & of course it was busy. I didn't mind the wait & when I finally was helped it was quick since I already knew what I wanted. The reason for the low score was that when I was paying the associate was using the tablet & it malfunctioned on him. He told me I know it went through don't worry. I said it was cool while I checked my account online & saw that it was pending. When he comes back he says it hadn't gone through. I showed him on my phone that it had & then his manager Tyler said it was pending & that it wouldn't be there tomorrow & that my card needed to be swiped again. Now mind you I'm already annoyed, there's a crapload of people & I don't want to go anywhere else to get my gift. I was told that if both charges go through I'd be able to get my money back ASAP. So I let them swipe it again but this time its 20 bucks more than the first. Whatever. I go home next day both charges have been settled. Back I go to tysons. Show them my info & they said I'll get it by next week. Its been almost a damn month & still no money. I don't like to be an ass & make a big deal since I've worked in retail before but come on. But, this time it was different i ran into a supervisor Jamey who kept me waiting for the longest time ever and seems to be confused when an associate asked her a question. She kept on going to the back room and was on her cell phone. She was not dressed professionally and looked as though if she was going for a marathon.
