Hollywood finally has a more upscale spot !! an elevated, authentic Italian restaurant that feels right at home here! The foodies may remember Pan E Vino from its downtown Charleston days, but owner Alfredo has brought his culinary magic to Hollywood, blessing locals with genuine Italian charm and flavor. The restaurant is housed in a beautifully repurposed old firehouse and if you look up you'll still spot the original firehouse doors on the ceiling. The space is warm and rustic with an open kitchen, dim lighting, and a cozy, welcoming atmosphere. It's perfect for a romantic date night, a family dinner, or even a girls' night out. I made a reservation for our group of four as I always like to let a restaurant know I'm coming ! As of November 2025, reservations can be made easily through the restaurant's website or by phone (they're not on Resy or OpenTable ). I received confirmation by both text and email almost instantly, which made the process seamless. The staff here work incredibly hard. Our server was also handling hostess duties, but she was gracious, attentive, and made sure everything ran smoothly. For my meal, I went classic with the Spaghetti alla Bolognese which was rich, hearty, and full of flavor. I didn't leave a bite behind! I couldn't resist drizzling a little balsamic over it (because balsamic makes everything better), and it paired perfectly. I also sampled the Gnocchi alla Sorrentina, featuring soft, homemade potato dumplings baked with the same luscious Bolognese sauce and melted buffalo mozzarella. If you're torn between the spaghetti or gnocchi, you can't go wrong either way because the bolognese sauce is delicious so it just depends on your mood! To finish the night, Alfredo himself came by with a pour of his homemade limoncello , bright, smooth, and the perfect sweet ending. We left full, happy, and already planning our next visit. Pro Tip: Tuesdays are pizza nights only (no full menu), and on weekends they offer both pizza and their full selection. It's worth calling ahead if you have your heart set on a particular dish. Went here for dinner with friends that are regulars. We received a very warm welcome as we were seated in a cozy little corner. Started with an Extra Dry Vodka Martini, a couple of Lemon drops and a beer. I tried the Funghi Fritti which were absolutely amazing. They were light and airy with a hint of salt and pepper. Shared the Giulio Cesare which was perfectly dressed with shaved Parmesan. For the mains we had two Pappardelle con L'Anatra (Loved how smooth the sauce was, so good), Penne alla Maremmana (also to die for), and Gnocchi alla Sorrentina. Also delicious. For dessert ya gotta have Tiramisu but they also had a unique offering of a Black Forest Cherry cake. Perfect finish with an Espresso Martini and an Amaro. MAKE A RESERVATION. We made that mistake and got seated outside on a rainy night, though they did their best to keep us dry. Don't underestimate this place because it's in Hollywood! All of our food was good as was the service. I've heard the pizza is where it's at though! My husband and I love this place. We went on opening night in their new locale in Hollywood, SC. It was a prefix menu so we had the chance to try several things. Our faves were their carpaccio, and the pesto (yum, need to go in a jar for me to take it home). Their cheesecake is simple but creamy delicious. We had an excellent meal last evening. We started with a single plate of Fried Calamari which my wife and I shared. The calamari were fresh & lightly breaded. For our main courses, I had the Risotto with sausage & my wife had the lamb cutlets. Both meals were very tasty. For now, I got the bruschetta as an app and the bread was sitting in oil and very difficult to bite through. I had to work it. The tomatoes seems fresh. I got the penne dish with the sausage and husband got the saltimbocca. My dish was pretty good but the sausage was not spicy like the description. Regardless it was good. Hubbies dish not so much!!! It was a piece of chicken under way too much cheese and lots of oil. They seem to like to add oil to all their dishes but that does nothing other than make it oily with no flavor! I'd prefer butter! Food was good. Cocktails were delicious. However, they willingly gave us a reservation for a table of 13 (11 adults and 2 children) at 7 PM. I 100% understand this is a busy time - if you are/were unable to accommodate a party this large with the staff that you have, I think we all would have rather simply had the reservation rescheduled for a different time or cancelled and eaten elsewhere. We waited 45 minutes to /order/ drinks, watched our waiter drink whiskey, cocktails, and shots (and also pick up the slack from the other waiters and waitresses) while we tried to entertain two children for over an hour and a half before we received appetizers. If it's that busy in the kitchen, would you not at least offer bread for the two hangry kids under six years old? We didn't know this was an option at the time - we would've happily paid for it. We received some half-hearted apologies for the wait from our waiter, but no updates the entire night on the status of any of our food. The girls that served our water were wonderful, however the majority of the other staff appeared either overwhelmed or unbothered. Overall, it took four hours before we were able to pay for the check and leave. In summary: good food, but I would not recommend dining here if you have a large party, even if you have a reservation. I'm reluctant to share my review because I don't want this gem to loose its charm. What a special treat to have such a wonderful restaurant in Hollywood! We kicked off our meal with Caprese salad...the mozzarella cheese was fresh and tasty. I had the lobster ravioli - total indulgence. The house made pasta was outstanding, and the tomato sauce was delicious. My friend had the Ossobuco - roasted pork. It looked delicious...I couldn't sample any because I was up to my elbows in ravioli. We split a dessert of Panna Cotta with cherry...oh my! Heaven exploded in my mouth. I can't wait to return to try more of the menu. Service was spot on...appropriately friendly and informative. Serving portions were generous, and pricing was more than reasonable. It all went downhill tonight... sausage on pizza was raw ( hard from frozen maybe) funky taste too... 2 tables came way after us and we still didn't get served our pizza, while everyone else is finishing up.. my husband decided to take it to go and we're still nice about it but no explanation why it took forever - maybe forgot our order? .. we got home and excited to eat our pizza - they are 2 regular sized pizza but they're not sliced!!and to make it worse, it tasted bad - great! They charge for bread first of all and no one mentioned that fact and it does not state that on their menu. The reason for the fee is because it is hard to get bread to their new location. The gnocchi was delicious, however, it would have been even better if it was hot. They also charge a credit card fee transaction. Visited here as a recommendation. Our waitress recommended the muscles as an appetizer and they were good but the portion size was huge. There were three of us and we weren't able to finish it. Came with bread. For my main I had the saltimbocca alla romana which was great. The cheese on top of the chicken breast did look, feel, and taste like they simply melted sliced cheese on it but it was still tasty and I cleaned my plate.
