The salad was soooo good I wish that I had more of it. Portion was kinda small. Not sure if was the fact my order was a delivery order and they had to compensate for the container. I love Panera but have been less than impressed with this relatively new location. Issue today: bathroom smells horrible (I actually went in there to wash my hands first, smelled so bad I left this time with out ordering). It doesn't smell like someone dropped a deuce, rather a yucky plumbing issue,either way very unappetizing. Second issue I have is that their ice machine is soo watery. Great if you are getting ice water, but not any other drink. I will return a few more times in hopes they have the kinks worked out. Let me add that staff has always been friendly. read more

This establishment has only been open a few years and I can't remember a time when I saw it clean. It doesn't matter what time is day either The area where you get drinks is always a mess and sticky with spilled drinks. Garbage is all over the tables and floor ( which is carpeted ew) and covered in food debris. I used to frequent the one in vinings but that one is even dirtier than this one. Panera overall is great! This new location in Austell may not last to see the summer. First time in this location and the last. Service just sucked! To the girl that took my order sorry we interrupted you but you know you are at WORK!! It is your job to take a order! This poor Panera Bread fails at indoor dining and drive-thru as well. Just waited 50 minutes in the drive-thru for a sandwich! Have eaten inside before, only to have them lose my order and come by 20 minutes later, wondering what I'd ordered. Restaurant staff plays instead of works. I had not been to Panera Bread in some time as the food is typically good but salty. I visited the Austell Rd location, which is now doing doing drive through only, understandably so. I ordered a plain roasted turkey with mozzarella. I paid over twelve dollars (with tax) for a sandwich I could have paid less than $5 for and have a much more satisfying experience. It contained 2 medium sliced pieces of not high quality turkey or mozzarella which was not even melted. and a heaping of arugula. When I ate the sandwich about hour later I was beyond complete shock that I paid that much for such a shabby sandwich. Two thickly sliced pieces of bread with very little meat. ***I had had this sandwich before more than once, and the portion size was plentiful. Dismay and disappointment do not come close to expressing how I was feeling about Panera Bread. They certainly get the prize from me this year so far, for being the FAST FOOD RIP OFF HOUDINI OF THE YEAR!. I will never, ever patronize this business ever again in life. read more

This Panera is horrible. I hate that because I really love panera and that is close to where I work, but after these past 2 visits I don't want to even go anymore at all. On Saturday 10/20/18 i stopped by with my husband and 2 younger cousins & we walked in around 8:57pm not knowing the closing time was 9pm, and as we walked in a red short haircolor African American lady that looked like the manager walked past us without even looking at us and said the following: "We are closing in 3 minutes so we have a limited menu" & she sprinkled with an attitude. Anyways, me & my family decided to leave because we spoke that if the customer service is like that, we can just imagine how bad the food will taste. After that I forgot about the whole incidient until today that I had to eat somewhere and stopped by to this panera again and everything seemed fine until I got my coffee, it was cold as ice, and tasted like they hadn't changed it for a while, I kno the sign said after 2pm they are limited on coffee or something but they could Atleast make sure it is warm. Then when I went outside to eat my sandwich it didn't taste good at all, I was even debating on leaving the food and going to Moe's next door. Just thought I'd write a review for those who like quality service at restaurants. This place definitely is a no no. It actually resembled McDonald's level type service and quality which in my opinion isn't very good. But any restaurant is as good as the manager and if that red headed lady is the manager, that Panera is not going to do well. That lady looks like she hates her job & she wants to clock out as soon as possible. If you don't like your job, you should go get a degree and get a better job or atleast one you like but no one deserves that type of customer service. read more

This is THE WORST Panera Bread I've ever been to. Every time I go they are always out of something. I placed a rapid pickup order and they were out of the soup (they were already out of the Fuji Apple Chicken Salad) so I opted for the soup. When my son got there to pick up my order they didn't have my soup. Long story short they didn't even state that the soup was out but I've paid for a soup. After speaking to the manager she says they shouldn't have given him the food with out telling him. Then he gets home and my half tuna sandwich was missing guess what....The TUNA!!! If I could've made it up there before they closed I probably would've snapped on these people. I calmly called and demanded my whole order be refunded. The Drive-Thru is not great at all. They always forget get something wrong with my order. But if you go inside, it's good. Average.

I've worked at several Panera locations when I was younger so I am familiar with their food and how they should run. This location is awful. So inconsistent with portion sizes and how they make the food. We were there today and there was an employee sleeping in a booth. The tables are always dirty. read more

Honestly I was hesitant to post this review for the pure fact that I know it's going to be a book report. I have so many grievances against this location, I don't know where to start. Each time I've gone through the drive through, it takes around 20 minutes. On one occasion, the girl in the window "forgot" to return my debit card. When I came back 10 minutes later, they acted like they had no idea what I was talking about. That should have been the last time I gave them any business. This evening, I ordered on their app for my family and pre-paid. When I arrived to pick up three orders of broccoli cheddar soup, and of course they're out of it entirely. No mention of that on the website when they took my money. The grilled cheese my husband ordered was cold, soggy bread with cold cheese in between. On top of that, the manager could not have cared less. Don't give this location your money, and don't waste your time. read more

Ok. So all restaurants have their issues like forgetting the chicken on your delivered salad. Puts a little bit of a damper on the meal when you go to eat it. Panera redeemed themselves when they offered to redeliver or reimburse for the inconvenience! I opted to pick it up on the way home from work. Customer service was outstanding on the phone and in person! The young lady even offered a pastry or bagel of any kind for the inconvenience! Customer service is key to a successful business. I went to Panera a couple of nights ago and ordered my usual sandwich on flat bread instead of regular bread. I drive 40 mins out to eat my food, and discovered that my order was wrong. I called the store and was told that my name was being added for a future free meal. Two days later, I'm back in the area for work. I decided to stop by and request my meal. Martin the Manager decided to grill me over the food I was promised at the window. I was immediately offended. I WILL NEVER visit this location again. So I placed a rapid pick up order to be picked up at 9:25. A chicken Fuji Apple salad, and a bowl of bistro soup. I asked for my Apple chips on the side and extra dressing. I received one extra dressing even though the standard for a whole salad is 4 when someone asks for extra. No Apple chips at all, they forgot the cucumber I asked for. My soup was missing the cheese on top and there were no croutons on the side. Silverware was not in the bag and to top it all off I found a small curly hair in my salad. read more

My first trip to this Panera. It's next to the Petsmart where I have my dog groomed so I was excited about the close proximity. I love Panera's food! I arrived at 7:15am on a Wed. Only a handful of people...very calm atmosphere, nice relaxing music at a reasonable volume. The cashier took my order. She didn't know how to process my gift card so had to ask the manager. She figured it out pretty quickly when the manager told her what to do, but I stood there wondering how she didn't know how to do this. I got my coffee and sat down at a table awaiting my food with the pager. After waiting 12 minutes with my pager on the table, I walked to the pickup counter with my unpaged pager and guess what?! There was my breakfast sandwich. Neither of the ladies acknowledged my existence at the counter until I said, "Excuse me, this pager doesn't work!" One turned her head and said, "Oh sorry about that." She then walked off and I retreated to my table with my cool breakfast sandwich. How do you not notice a sandwich sitting in the window long enough to get cold? There were 3 people in the dining room so you know that food belongs to someone. Poor customer service awareness. Outside of being chilly, the breakfast sandwich was properly made and the taste was excellent. My coffee was good as normal for a Panera. Some of the tables and booths in the dining room had food on them. I found this interesting as it was 7:15am and almost no one there. Maybe the night crew decided to skip table and booth cleaning before they left the night before. Hopefully these things will be rectified over time as the employees become more experienced and get up to typical Panera standards. E/W Connector Panera is awful for execution. Was hoping they would get it together after messing up 2 other orders of ours but tried them again. Each time, the order takes forever to pick up even when preordering Rapid Delivery, the sandwiches are always missing items, my half sandwich was wrapped like it was ready to be thrown away and most of the staff with exception to one female worker (who is clearly having to make up for everyone else) moves at a snails pace. We tried the $10 Quinoa Noodle bowl and it came in a small cup and was half way filled up! They offer to remake it if you bring it back but who wants to drive back to the store after working a full day and picking up food on the way home?! Never have this problem with other Panera, it sucks because our food options are limited in Austell. read more

I work in Austell and visit this location frequently. It is always clean, the food is always hot and delicious and the staff is very friendly and courteous. Even the fruit cups are always fresh! I particularly appreciate May who makes sure I have a fresh Soufflé in the morning. It's the little details that makes this a five start experience for me in the morning. Thanks May! read more

When I learned there was a Panera opening in Austell GA, near my new home, I was so happy! But that happiness has been squelched.
