I've been living in Atlanta for almost 9 years. I've driven by this place 1000 times... I've lived in the Marietta and Smyrna area the majority of my time here and never stopped to eat here. Yesterday A friend of mine took me and the food was great... It is casual dining... It has the same environment as a Panera or Jasons deli... They have salads, wraps, pizzas, sandwiches, and even a few dessert options. I ordered a full pairing $14.50. Which included a pizza and a side salad. The pizza tasted fresh. It was tavern style, so it was thin crust. It came with basil garnished on top, which was a great addition and for my salad, I ordered the garden salad with the green goddess dressing and I thought it was really good. The pricing was more than fair for the portion of the food. I can't wait to go back to try a sandwich and soup. I can't believe it took me this long to go. read more

I had never been to a Newk's and I was driving by this Smyrna location and decided to have some lunch, and I'm glad I did! When you walk in it is clean, kind of eclectic seating with tables and booths and some seats on a bar with cushions so you have a nice selection of seating options. Since I hadn't eaten here before I spoke with the cashier, very pleasant and helpful fellow. He recommended the Newk's Q sandwich, which is chicken, bacon and some kind of white BBQ sauce on a slightly crunchy hoagie roll, it was exactly the sandwich I was hoping it would be. Look exactly like the menu picture. I had a side of fruit which was pineapple, melon, and grapes, all pretty fresh. I followed it up with a slice of chocolate cake. Overall great experience. Stopped in for a quick lunch with some coworkers, and this was recommended by our hotel shuttle driver. Busy atmosphere but they were serving everyone quickly. Nice, varied menu, we were all able to find something we liked. Prices seemed high for the sandwich sizes, but that's to be expected anymore. I liked the turkey avocado sandwich and the option to have Baked Lays. The soda came with a nice souvenir cup that I used the rest of my trip, hotel room glasses are so small, lol. I had waited 10 minutes so I asked to speak with the manager so they walked me around to the side and the lady said if it's DoorDash I don't give a fuck about them so unacceptable. They were actually pretty busy upon my arrival, but this did not have a negative impact on the time I had to wait for my food. The young man that took my order was ok. He was not overly enthusiastic, but not rude. I opted to get a salad and a side of soup. You are given a number to display on your table for dine in orders. My food arrived in less than 10 minutes. Don't order through Foodsby unless you want your order to arrive wrong. If you ask for no cheese and no mustard, they ignore it. If you ask for an additional ingredient in a salad, it comes at the cost of another (chicken Caesar salad should come with croutons, but the last two times they sent me an incomplete salad). I get that reading is hard when you're not paid enough to care, but this is ridiculous. read more

Newks Eatery was a surprise find for me. I had been passing it by, but did not have the time to stop but hubby and I purposely took a leisurely drive to the area on our motorcycle. We were able to sit outside and enjoyed every part of it. The view was nice. There is an area for the children to pay so you can enjoy a little snack while they are running around and they are completely in your view. We wanted to try a variety of food items, so we had a pizza, salad and sandwich and cake of course. Chocolate cake which is one of my favorites was good. They have more than one entrance, one for pick orders and a main entrance. The salad was good and the sandwich was as well. There are several options for everyone. Awful. Cobb salad had lunch meat like grocery store cold cuts chicken, hideous appearance and worse taste. Salad drenced in dressing to hide fact that lettuce wasn't fresh, foreign for the salad pecans, blue cheese crumbles masked the flavor of the whole mess. Also got a pimento chees sandwich, menu planner is way off on that one. Served on a Sub roll, bread dwarfs the pitiful amount of Pimento cheese on the sandwich, and it is covered by a very out of place tomato slice. Got the NEW side, Potato Salad!
