Saw this new sandwich advertised during a tv commercial and sure looked good so finally got over there to try one and sadly the plating did not look nearly as good as the advertised photo, look how much meat and gooey cheese compared to what it really looks like. If i could rate this zero stars i would. I LOVE. panera and get it quite frequently as well as working for a different panera. We went in at 8:46 (They close at 9 so i can see how this must have been frustrating.) But they are also a business that is expected to be running until 9. My boyfriend and i went and got two sandwich's and a soup waited about 15 mins for the food to be burnt and look absolutely horrible we both took one bite and threw the sandwich's away because of how badly they were made. The customer service was also bad the workers talked bad about the "annoying ass people" who came in 10 minutes before they had to close. Really happy with my experience here yesterday. I placed an order through the app for some soup and coffee - pretty simple. I arrived and went inside to pick up my order from the counter. It was very busy, obviously a lunch rush, so I didn't mind waiting a bit. I was waiting less than 5 minutes when an employee asked me for my name and went to check on my order. It came out right away and they even let me fill my own thermos with coffee instead of making me use a to-go cup. Everyone was very friendly and efficient, and the soup was delicious. This has got to be the worst managed Panera Bread I've ever frequented since I've been a Panera fan for many years. The other day, the manager was out and a substitute was managing the place. No one was managing the registers, and when we finally rustled someone up and ordered, both the coffee dispensers we needed and the hot water was empty. Getting them filled required, again, getting someone's attention. When we finally got the substitute manager's attention (he was from the Vandnais Hts Panera), and got him off his mobile phone, he averred that he was just a substitute and didn't really know what was happening. I'm 15 and not a thief at all. But the general manager accused me of stealing a little water cup that had tea in it. And my mom walks over to grab our food we spent over $100 on. The general manager tells her that her kids are stealing when it was just me who walked up and asked for a water cup and points where they were (they were at the drinks) so I put tea in it and saw my dad walk back with a tea and so I thought it was fine but she calls me down and demands the drink back because I didn't pay for it and so I didn't fight her about it and walked over to grab another cup and put water. The manager continues to watch me the entire time I'm sitting down with my family and then tells my mom and so she gets upset that the general manager is accusing her false accusations and being over dramatic and later on starts to go talk to my brother about standing on the chair and she gets put in her place by both my parents. She threatens to call the cops and tells the cops she "didn't feel safe" but several times my mom offers to pay for the drink and GM refuses to and blames her for not paying for it but it was another staffs fault for not charging for all of the water cups NOR GIVING US ANY WATER CUPS. And asks us to leave. We wait outside and wait for the cops to show up. The GM only kept rambling her mouth about calling me a thief and saying I'm stealing when I didn't and it's just a small water cup. And runs her mouth to my parents. This location used to be top notch but the last few years it continues to get worse and worse. We order almost weekly for our lunch at work and it got so bad they we started going to pick up so we could check to be sure it was correct and/or not missing anything. Even that has become frustrating because it takes forever if they did mess up the order! The last straw is today when we get there and they (again) didn't put lettuce in our warm bowls. They then gave me a side of arugula and when we got home and opened the container the lettuce was drenched so I felt it and then the smell came! It wasn't wet from washing it, it was wet from being rotten! It smelled like feces! And to top it off it was on my bowl already and covered in other ingredients and my husband found it piled up on the bottom of his bowl! So we couldn't even eat them because they both had rotten arugula on them! My last warm bowl I got had no arugula on it and I was mad but now maybe it was a blessing in disguise! Corporate will be getting a call from me this week because rotten lettuce can cause illnesses and there's zero excuse for serving it besides extreme naiveness and/or training that doesn't exists! There are things I love about this Panera, but there are also things I hate. First thing first, the bread here is great and the bakery items are even better! Getting a bakery item is half the fun of coming here. The food here is also decent! I am very boring and always get a grilled cheese sandwich. It is so good every time and hits the spot. They also have great drink options! The coffee is awesome and their tea drinks are yummy. They also have a drive through which can be convenient. It's nice to have an on the go option. They also have mobile ordering, but I have never tried it. What I don't like is how hard it is to find parking here. The parking lot is convinced with the caribou and book store, so it can get very busy. Sometimes when I come, I can't even park, which is frustrating. Other than that, sometimes the tables can be a little dirty because it is a clean up your own stuff kind of place. When the workers have time they come around and clean them though. Overall, and good place with great food and sweets, but very hard to park during their busy times. read more

I went through the drive-through, and they took my phone inside to use my Apple Pay, which I was really uncomfortable with and which I have never had them ask to do before. I have been here several times and have always just scanned through the window. Then I asked for a gift card, and they gave me one that said Congrats. It's the Christmas season, and my daughter's teacher loves Panera, so we were getting one for her as a Thank You / Christmas present. I asked if they had any gift cards that don't say "Congrats," and the attendant looked at me like it was the dumbest question she had ever heard. She said she wouldn't know without going to check. I didn't think it was an unreasonable request, so I said, "Yes, thank you, please check." (Note, there was no line behind me whatsoever, so I was not keeping anyone waiting.") She didn't seem to know what to do with this apparently odd ask, but eventually left and came back saying there were no gift cards in the whole store that didn't say "Congrats." (And there were no little envelopes for the card either, by the way. Plus i didn't get a receipt to gift with the card showing how much is on it.) I was told I could go to another Panera and ask them to switch it out. Then she gave me my food and promptly walked away. She did not give me the apple I ordered, so I waited quite awhile for someone to notice I was still there and come back to the window. The attendant grabbed an apple with bare unwashed hands (I just watched her bustle about touching a million surfaces prior to this) and handed it to me through the window with an apology. Odd experience. And anxiety inducing since I had to hand over my phone, plus I wasn't trying to be difficult but was treated like I was being really dumb. Updated to 3 stars: Went to another Panera. Was told they could not help me. Went back to the original Panera (this one) and went inside where I found an array of card options, lots of envelopes for the cards, and was helped by the manager. The food here is alright. It's a Panera. I've been here twice now. The first time an employee took my order off the board. When (I believe) her trainer/supervisor asked her why, she was rude and really disrespectful. And she didn't seem to care at all. I could tell the trainer/supervisor was really frustrated with her, but it didn't seem like she could do anything about it. I came back during lunch on a Friday to do some work, and I had to quit early because the WiFi is atrocious, and I was the only one in the cafe using a computer. So sadly, not a good place to study. Definitely love this place! The service here are so kind. They saw that we had 2 little ones with us, so they gave my girls free cookies! I had to go to the window and get my food, and one of the worker saw me struggling so he offered to help me out. The food is good like always! This location has a drive thru which is amazing. It's difficult to get into, but is much faster than going inside (too bad it's closed for the next week and a half). Going inside here is something I desperately try to avoid - long lines, disorganized guests, etc. There is a self serve kiosk (4 in a row) but only two people can use it at a time because they are so disorganized. Food is on par with other Panera locations and staff is friendly. Wish the parking lot was bigger and drive thru was easier to access. Also, reorganization of the entrance would help with the flow of traffic inside the restaurant. read more

And the staff was Bed, Bath & Beyond helpful for us three novices as we perused a rather large menu board. Fabulous mom knew her stuff. From the French onion soup to the broccoli and cheddar soup to the corn chowder to the amazing fresh sandwiches, it was a five star chain dining experience. The turkey and avocado sandwich was outstanding. Nothing processed. Bread was as fresh as the cashier. Even loved the Saltine cracker packets adorning my soup saucer. So, Panera. Don't ever "chain"! I have not had a soufflé since I have lived of this side of town about 3 years ago bc they never have any available. Every. Single. Time. Service here was super fast!! We came in at 11:30am, so I'm sure a lot of that was that we got in pre-lunch rush, with lunch-rush staffing levels. Literally 6 minutes from ordering until our food was ready. The food was good. I don't know how to appropriately describe it other that "comparable to other Paneras." I tried the Thai chicken salad. Overall not a good experience. Ordered from the app for rapid pick up. Scrambled egg, cheese, and bacon on ciabatta. First off its not on ciabatta it's on a French roll. Not the biggest deal, but not what I wanted. Secondly, the egg was dripping with water. Like I squeezed it with my napkin to try and soak it up, and it fully saturated the napkin. Disgusting. I usually have a bagel and coffee every Sunday morning. The bagels are great, but the coffee is usually old. Lately the light roast is empty, and the dark roast is room temperature and tastes old. I'd recommend bringing your own coffee, or pay double the amount and getting it at Caribou next door. The service is now terrible. The bagels are poorly cut and overly toasted.
