Great service provided today by server Deja. She was very attentive yet left us alone to visit. When she found out we were celebrating a birthday, she was very sweet and offered a free desert and her crewmembers to sing. We declined the singing but the dessert was fabulous. We actually tried both the Chocolate Lasagne and the Black Tie Mousse cake and both were great. Also a manager did come by to say hello and see how everything was. Ate here on Mother's Day 2025 - came for dinner before peak times, added our name to the waitlist - knew what we were getting ourselves in to. We were seated right away, service was fairly good considering it was a major dining holiday, and our server always had a smile. We have not eaten at Olive Garden in years, more because we did not live near one for a long time. After spending the morning and part of the afternoon being a tourist, I was ready for lunch. I needed to be in Blaine by 3 pm. I looked for the nearest Olive Garden and found this one in Coon Rapids. I drove over here from downtown Minneapolis. I didn't have any problems finding the restaurant. I pulled into a parking spot steps away from the main entrance. I then walked in to the restaurant. I was greeted by a nice woman. She consulted with her sidekick and they found a decent table for me. The first one led me into the dining room and my table. Because I had been out and about for a few hours, I left my hoodie on the comfy seat in my booth and headed to the women's washroom. It was spacious, clean, and nicely maintained. I headed back to the table and checked out the menu. Sadly, you don't get lunch portions on weekends. Cleo was my server. She was nice and highly responsive. I ordered a raspberry lemonade to start. Throughout my meal, she made sure that I was well hydrated by providing refills when I was running low. I got the following items: - Zuppa toscana - Chicken marsala fettuccine My soup came out rather fast. I love zuppa toscana. It's a hearty soup with potatoes, kale, and spicy Italian sausage. So good! I got breadsticks with my meal. I managed to dip one of them in my soup. I ended up packaging the remaining ones to take back to the hotel. My chicken marsala fettuccine came out next. I deviated from my usual chicken scampi. I got into chicken marsala when I lived in Rochester. It was nice to have some again. I loved the mushrooms and baby spinach with the marsala sauce. The chicken was pan-fried and seasoned nicely. The fettuccine was al dente. It was an excellent dish. The portion size was massive. I asked Cleo if I could get two spaghetti with meat sauce entrees. They are $6 each when you dine in, which is a good deal. I also love how yummy they are. She placed that order in for me. The entrees are made to order. I didn't mind sitting there, sipping my raspberry lemonade. My carb coma had just started. I paid at the kiosk with my credit card. Cleo said that she'd come back with "a couple" of mints. She came back with four. I loved her interpretation of a couple. I had an excellent experience. Next time, I shouldn't eat an entire regular portion of chicken marsala fettuccine in one sitting. My carb coma took full effect when I went on my road trip afterwards. I had to pull over at a gas station in Cannon Falls because I needed a nap... haha! The spaghetti entrees helped a ton. to start the wait time was super long they didn't even let us make a reservation when we were sat down, The waitress gave us our menus and then immediately left and then as soon as she came back, she took our drinks and didn't even give us a second to want for appetizers and when we finally ordered, the food came piping hot, but somehow the steak I ordered was undercooked and also overcooked in some spots the noodles on the fettuccine Alfredo were undercooked and super chewy not to mention the $33 wine was absolutely disgusting. It tasted watered down and bitter. It was a horrible red wine and not at all paired nicely with my undercooked steak and on top of all that the waitress only gave me sass and was rude and somehow after all that the nasty wine, the undercooked food still cost $100. bad experience two out of five stars. read more

Oh good old Olive Garden lol it's just a standard at this point. There's nothing particularly great or bad about them. Ambiance is old school. Idk if they've updated since they started. We usually do pick up orders now. They could season the food better. I always need to add more salt, pepper, and a ton of parm but the flavor gets there with some doctoring. I live for the fresh breadsticks, salad, and soups. My favorite is the toscana I believe. The soups are always balanced flavor wise. Olive Garden is my boyfriend's favorite restaurant so we had to try the one closest to our place! We were seated right away and our server was very quick to take our order. It wasn't too busy in the restaurant and they had a nice Italian ambiance to make you feel like you were eating in Italy! Breadsticks could have been better, it was stale. The water did not taste well at well. Mine tasted salty for some reason. They might need to check their sewers and pipes. A gift card brought us back to Olive Garden and I must say I've missed coming to this spot. We arrived on a Friday evening right around 7pm and waited approximately 10 minutes for a table of 6. The host was really nice and welcoming. Ambiance was fine and parking was relatively easy to find. Once we were seated, our server made her way over to us with breadsticks right away - which was so nice! We were hungry and were so happy for a starter as she wrapped up the table next to us. We came here on a whim tonight around 5:15pm on a Thursday. We were greeted at the door by Fatima who was kind and welcoming. She was able to seat us right away with a smile. Our server Libby was fantastic. She was very busy with lots of tables, but checked in with us multiple times, ensured our orders were correct and was quick to answer any questions we had. The way of the world is crazy right now. Everywhere is short staffed, and people are demanding and impatient. However, I don't think I could name one thing wrong with the service, food or atmosphere here tonight if I wanted to. We came for the never ending pasta bowl and were not let down. Food was not as it used to be to be. Breadsticks were dry and we had to wait 20 minutes to get more of them and the salad as well. Service was extremely slow and the waiter was not very friendly. Chicken margarita was dry and was not presented well. I don't know how you can mess up on broccoli, but it was dry, unseasoned and tasted like it wasn't even cooked. Customer service at this location was horrible. I will not be back. I had checked in online and had a "no wait" time when I arrived in the parking lot. When I went inside it was packed with people sitting and standing but since I checked in I figured I would be seated quickly since I was given the "no wait time" message. I was told by the hostess that my wait would be 10 minutes. The staff was rude. When I asked about the "no wait time online" the staff just blew me off. It's been YEARS since I've eaten at an Olive Garden, and after all that time I was not disappointed in my visit to this location. My husband, who hates eating out, even had a great experience! Drinks: We ordered the Watermelon Sangria to share. I usually try to avoid "artificially" flavored sangrias, especially watermelon because it always either tastes weird or super fake. This was a surprise for me! It was the perfect amount of sweetness and tasted just like watermelon juice! Definitely would order again! Food: I got the unlimited soup and salad, shared some with my little one. My favorite (and hers) was the chicken and gnocchi! Super yummy! We went on a super busy Saturday so we went in thinking we'd have to wait 45 minutes to an hour for a table, but were pleasantly surprised when we were seated within 10 minutes of arriving! Brax was our server and they were super awesome. They checked up on us regularly and never made us feel rushed, and they even sent us out with a little extra sauce for our leftovers! She picked OG's and being the flexible friend that I am, said okay.... PLUUUUS I'd seen those commercials for the shrimp & lobster mac n cheese on tv and wanted to try it. Lol Soooo good! It's not really a mac n cheese. It's rigatoni noodles and tomato type sauce with cheese. Flavor is great and sadly enough, it is only for q limited time. Noooooo! So I'm actually going back today before my diet reboot on Monday. Lol. I also had the Zupa Tuscana soup, one if my favorite and trade mark style soups at OG's I also tried their 9oz red wine & the green apple sangria. Great flavor, really really sweet. So I drank it down and poured the rest of my wine into it and voila! A real sangria! It was great left as is though, I just wasn't in the mood for that sweet of a drink. We gave our son and daughter in law a gift card to have dinner and celebrate their wedding anniversary....won't happen again at least at this location. They ordered the never ending pasta bowl and when they ordered a refill and couldn't finish it their waitress asked if they would like a take home box...a little later the manager stopped by their table and said no take home boxes for left overs ( that were already boxed up by waitress) during this promotion. I'm not sure why restaurants always try to shove you in the most crowded side of the restaurant. Not that they were busy at all because we walked right in. But they sat everyone on the same side and it was noisy and awful to be all jammed in. There was a couple next to us that the young lady must have known one of the people that worked there and she was celebrating a birthday. Staff paid more attention to her than the other customers on that side. Must be nice to have a personal server. Finally got waited on after about 10 minutes of waiting. We placed our order and beverages. The soup came out and we still didnt have our beverages. Took a couple of times of asking before they finally brough them. Our poor waitress looked like she was really scrambling while others just seemed to be standing around - including management. I received my order and it looked like it was served in a dirty bowl. GROSS! That should have been wiped off before it left the kitchen if something just happened to have dropped on it. (I hope that was the case and not the former.) The only other thing that was kind of a turn off was the length of our servers bright neon green painted nails. Artificial obviously but they were probably 3-4" long. I know when I was in the food industry, this was never allowed due to sanitary reasons. I wonder what the state health department would think about that? But I guess restaurants are more worried about their bottom line than being sanitary and someone gettin sick. With restaurants wanting people to come back after the pandemic you should treat all of them as if they are your only customer... and make sure that everyone has an enjoyable visit. This was not the case here. Might be awhile before we decide to fo back as there are many other options out there than this particular location. This was a 1 star visit, but our waiter was really good, so I feel bad leaving it because the one thing the management team did right was hire this dude, but that is all they did right for us. We called a week in advance to make a reservation for a party of 13. They said they cannot do that but to call the morning of at 9am, no problem we did just that. Our reservation was at 11:30am, we got there 5 minutes early, and the hostess was friendly, but could not find our information so she went to set up at table. At 11:45am a manager walks up and asks us if we needed help, I explained what was going on, and technically she was polite, but she did not see a concern at all which would be fine except when she was up there another big group came in and said "we called a few minutes ago" and their table was ready. They were seated at the same time as us. They got what appeared to be a private room and we got stuck next to a frozen over door where we all had to keep our coats on. Nobody lives near Coon Rapids, but we were hoping to have a new tradition place when we all meet in town. We clearly didn't find one, but at least we know which place to AVOID!!! read more

Olive Garden is advertising buy one take one. I am a very picky eater. Went to Olive Garden anticipating ordering one of two items on their entire menu that I will eat. There is only like six choices for the buy one take one. I had no idea only selected items were offered for this deal. I chose something from the offer selection. I did not like it. I am very upset that Olive Garden didn't offer to replace my meal seeing that I didn't eat it. Bringing a second one home would make no sense-being I would just be feeding the trash. Paying for it made no sense either being I ordered specifically to get the buy one take one deal. I even asked to talk to the manager about it and the waitress said no. She offered me a bowl of just plain noodles for my take one meal. I know it's not their fault I'm a picky eater, but most places would offer a replacement, or not even charge me for it. To top it all off, the bread sticks were hard as rocks. I always order a Vanilla Coke. The waitress said they didn't do vanilla cokes. This is the only restaurant I could ever get a Vanilla Coke. Not sure if they aren't doing vanilla cokes anymore or the bartender had no idea what it was. All in all, my visit to Olive Garden was a complete waste and a complete disappointment for me. I ordered curb side pick up yesterday for lunch And that experience was great since the food was ready on time that's why I didn't give this rating 1 star. However, my full order of fettuccini Alfredo which ran about $20 was horrible because the chicken was hard as rubber. I think the chicken was way overcooked or something else was wrong. Sadly, I could have made better chicken myself and this was off putting. I don't think I'll be craving Olive Garden anytime soon. So we have been going to this restaurant periodically for years but my latest experience is likely my last. Value is just not there and service is mediocre. For example, for $100 for a party of 5 we had two people with soda the rest water, 0 refills. Salad was soggy, my $19 Tour of Italy came with the smallest pice of lasagna I've ever had along with 3 fork fulls of fettuccine and one tiny chicken parmigiana. My husband and I went to this Olive Garden location a few days ago. When we entered the waiting area was busy, but we decided to wait it out as I was craving those breadsticks. As things started clearing out, there was another family waiting that approached the host and they checked in on their status as they had noticed several groups being seated before them that had gotten there after they had checked in. We witnessed the host (Gabi) being incredibly rude to them and condescending. During part of this exchange the manager was nearby and did not intervene. The family decided to leave which left my husband and I as the last people left in the waiting area. During this time we also noticed a considerable difference in how Gabi treated white customers vs how she treated customers of color. While we were waiting she proceeded to speak poorly about the previous customers in front of my husband and I. She even joked she would be getting a bad Yelp review. We approached Gabi and her coworker about this and told her that we felt her behavior was unprofessional and then we left before being seated. read more
